We absolutely LOVE our shutters! April, our consultant was excellent - professional, patient with all of our questions, polite, easy going, knowledgeable, willing to find out things she didn't know (didn't make up answers, which I appreciate), friendly, had great suggestions, helped us weigh all of our options, made recommendations, honored our opinions, style, wants, and needs. April worked closely with the installer making sure we got exactly what we needed and wanted within the price upon which we had agreed. She gave us a generous discount to make sure we got what we wanted and that the shutters looked perfect. Derek, our installer was excellent, too - professional, knowledgeable, courteous, focused, careful, and exacting. When I questioned a couple things, he answered intelligently and sincerely making sure I understood the challenges of an old house and what my options were to address those challenges. He recommended a change in the order when he measured because our windows on our 1951 house are out of square. The end result is beautiful. He took the time to make sure we knew how to care for and use the shutters to ensure they have a long life. This was a big investment for our family, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Highly recommend working with April and Derek.

I requested a ballpark quotation for interior shutters with my approximate window sizes included in my message. This is my second home and I was trying to get a feel what the overhaul pricing would be. | |Their response was "As our product is custom made for your windows, it is impossible to provide a quote via chat or phone." |

On Nov. 5 Jeff Compton came to our house to measure our one very large patio door, brought samples, wrote the order, had a printer with him so he was able to give us copies. He told us he would send the order in that night (it was about 7 PM) and we should have them back to be installed Monday, Nov. 11. Was hard to believe the short turn-around, but they did it. The young installer came out about 5 PM Nov 11, and did a fantastic installation. Very neat and pleasant yourng man, new to the installation company in Dallas (as a matter of fact, he was transferred to Dallas as manager for the installation company). It has been a very pleasant business transaction from start to finish. A part of the valance was cracked and Scott is ordering another one and said we should have it in a week or 10 days. It was not so bad that it's noticeable, but we want it replaced. 3Day Blinds was on your list, but it had nothing to contact you, but it had a phone number for their home office which was in Irvine,, CA. So you might check that out. They did have some bad reviews, but I took a chance and it paid off.

The designer called and made sure I was home and arrived on-time. I wanted wooden blinds but was talked into fake wood blinds. I was told that the wooden blinds costs a lot more. I have a large window with arch. She gave me a quote on an arch shape on the top and then fake wood blinds. It was a good experience working with her. I ended up not going with 3-days because another company came that offer solid wood blinds with matching color crown molding and wooden shutter for the arch window with price even lower than 3-days.

Sara came out to the house and I showed her the 7 windows I needed blinds for, since some of the windows already had their blinds installed it was pretty easy on which blinds to choose, color, style. She measured all of them and gave me two different quotes one with cords and one without. I choose to go with the cordless treatments except for the one in the kitchen. The installer came out to the house when it was it met my schedule and went right to work. I was amazed on how quickly he was able to install all seven treatments in so little time. When it came time for the one in the kitchen he suggested to leave the cord just hanging there as apposed to keeping attached to the frame of the window. This way the cord is not in content tension and I can pull it away from the window to draw up or down the shade. These guys were great and when it comes time to replace the upstairs blinds I know who to call.

I didn't realize how bad of an experience I had with the 3 day Blinds interior designer consultant until after several days went by. I contacted the company and they were fairly quick in responding and setting up an appointment for the following day. I got a call from the designer really early to confirm the appointment. After constant communication, because there was an unexpected circumstance that delayed the appt., the consultant arrived at my house and we started the consultation. The designer was rude and more interested in my house paint job, kitchen and paintings than doing her job. She failed to quote me the window treatment that I wanted since she said that she was not recommending that product for a kid's bedroom and that it was 3 times more expensive than the faux wood blinds that she was offering us, already assuming that I couldn't afford the treatment. She inquired about my house's price and made me feel unease that she was roaming inside my house. On top of things, when I asked her to take measurements of a window door in my family room, she refused to do it, saying that she wanted the installer to measure. I kept informing her that I was not agreeing to the quote and she kept talking about installation services, quotes and availability. After going over with my husband about the consultation, he told me that we were not to proceed until we had a complete quote from all 10 windows, she provided only 5 and even though the person who made the appointment told me to expect for the appointment to run from 2.5 to 3 hours, the consultant was in my house for not more than a hour, if that. The next day I kept trying to get in touch with her at all the numbers she left me and I even texted her and sent her an e-mail. A week has gone by and I still haven't heard from her. We booked a followup appointment to get the rest of the windows measured and she failed to show up (not that I was expecting her at that time). It is very likely that she either quit or got fired, but there has to be a manager in charge who would have picked up the existing costumers right? If you are considering giving your business to this company, think again, look at all the bad reviews there are.

Consultant called about 1.5 hours prior to the scheduled time. I told her my fiance had just been called into work and I would like to reschedule. She told me that she would call later that day to set up an appointment. She never called. This was on 09/03. On 09/05 I called and left a message that we still wanted to schedule a meeting. As of today, 09/12, I have not heard back.

The first initial visit was great. Brandon did a great job with explaining product and getting the measurements. He came back a second time to show some additional products after this trip we decided to order the blinds. I was told the company which provides the installation would call me the middle of the following week to make an appointment for the install. After the next week went by I called Brandon back and asked what was going on and he said he would follow up since I had not heard from the installation company. That afternoon he sent me an email saying that they had called and left a message and had not heard from me. Yes they did call that day after I called Brandon so it was not because of me. I called them first thing the next morning and was told that my blinds were noted as being backordered and that is why they had not called. They said they now had the product and could set up a date for two weeks later. They said they were very busy in the meantime we had two more weeks of early wakeup. I was never notified of the back order and no one called or has yet to call to see how the install went or any follow up. Please do not think 3 Day blinds means you will get your blinds in three days. The person who installed the blinds was very professional and did a good job. So far I am please with product. The B for punctuality is for the length of time to receive the blinds and installation.

Terrible. The blinds we bought from them a few years ago broke within the first year but we managed to deal with it. Last month they finally broke for good. I called 3 Day Blinds to see if they could repair and if so how long it would take. The customer service rep told me they could come to my house and repair onsite. She then charged me and told me to wait 3 days for a call to schedule the repair. About a week later the person came to my house and said they never do the repair onsite. It would take 7 -10 days to get them fixed and reinstalled. As the blinds are in the master bedroom I was not happy but he reassured me it would not be any longer than 10 days. Bait and switch? I think so but at that point they had my money and I just wanted working blinds. It has now been almost 3 weeks - I have had to make several calls to follow up on the repair as they will not return my calls. Everytime I call they tell me the blind will be done in a few days and they will call me ... then they don't call...and I call again, wait on hold, tell my story to a new person ... and the cycle continues. I still have no idea when or if I will ever get these blinds back. Meanwhile I am living with a sheet covering my master bedroom and have guests arriving this week to stay in the other room that has no window covering. Had they been honest with me from the beginning I would have just ordered new blinds - but NOT from 3 Day Blinds!

It took a long time to get them installed properly -- five months from start to finish. Initially they were installed two months after ordering -- the end of January, but they were too tight on the frame and could not be opened. So, the installation company reordered. Took until the middle of March to get replacement/adjustment.

I had roller shades installed throughout my living room which was a big project totaling an overall cost $7043.00 as I have 6 floor to ceiling windows that measure 14ft across x 98" Long. Upon the clear recommendation of the so called design consultants of which I have been through two of, the roller shades chosen were the dark brown roller shades that look somewhat like screens. Keep in mind that while I had an idea in mind that I presented to the design consultant, she fully embraced it. I had just purchase a condominium in a hi-rise building and the entire almost 1,900 square foot condo encompassed almost 50% of all floor to ceiling windows. Now, as I had just purchased the condo, i decided to get this completed prior to moving in to alleviate the dust drilliung into concrete causes and potentially damaging or soiling the new furniture and carpets. Much to my dismay, although they had plenty of lead time, they were finally installed much after the promised three days and following my move in. Needles to say, the installers did not use drop cloths or anything that would protect my furnishings and carpet and black soot was everywhere and cost me over $1000 to have the fabric cleaned on the couches, all my clothes dry cleaned etc none of which i have asked to be compensated for as so many other issues came to light following the installation. The first of many many mistakes they made was that the so called Design Consultant never even consulted me on the decision of the dark roller screen shades that were installed. Being she said that she was an interior designer and only fell into this position with 3day to tied her over as the economy did not really support the luxury market of interior designers at this time and that this was a temporary job until the economy turned around. As a interior designer and more importantly a 3 day blind representative, you would have thought that she would have recommended other alternatives because all those windows have a south west exposure and the sun from rise to sunset BEATS down on them all day long. Being that interior design and window treatments is not my business and I am no expert, I certainly would have expected the design consultant to have some input and take everything into consideration including the existing roman shades that were to replaced and why they were in place. I quickly learned why they were in place which had baffled me in the beginning because I could not understand why someone would want to cover up what is the most gorgeous view of all of downtown and ocean from Coronado to Point Loma. I even left her in the new condo on her own and with my key so she could write up the entire order and take her time to really make sure the measurements were in fact accurate and that the products recommended and supported from my suggestion were the right choice. Not only did the design consultant approve of what I thought would be a good solution to block the damaging heat and direct sunlight all day while allowing to still enjoy the view, she went as far as to say that the product would absolutely filter 90% of the direct sun and heat not allowing the sun to compromise carpeting and furniture from direct sun light damage. She later called me back and said she would be setting me up with a measure appointment with the exclusive company they use to install their blinds EXCLUSIVELY. She set up the appointment and without going into too much because it is such a disaster, all I can tell you is that appointment after appointment the design consultant and the installer were late, did not show at all and the phone number given to return calls from the installer goes UN-answered or simply rolls over to a voice mail message stating, "we are sorry but the message box is full " and cant leave a message. This happened on every occasion over the next several months. When the initial nightmare of installation was over, the installers did not account for the base boards. After a series of yet another week of missed phone calls and messages left to return the call to the number I referred to earlier that no one ever answers and states that the box is full. Finally, Mike comes over and immediately see's the problem his colleague had did not catch and removes and re-positioned each and every roller shade to be in accordance to actually touch the floor. Still not happy with what I was left with and the sun continuing to damage carpets and furniture as well as a very expensive SDGE bill as I have to keep the ac on all day just to keep it at 78 in the house, I contacted the original consultant and requested idea's and suggestions to solve the challenge I was facing. After all, she did say she was an interior Designer right. So, she did in fact finally reply and had some wonderful idea's and had promised to get back to me with a date to have the windows re-measured ( This time to include the floor boards ) and almost two weeks went by and no follow up. I decided it was time to get another person on the job and called the customer care line and was appointed another designer who I placed an order with for over $15,000.00. I gave a $4,000 check as a deposit and the remainder was then to be financed through 3Day, Come to find out, the interest rate is ridiculous and and I was not approved despite having just been approved for the same credit line at Home Depot which was the way I was heading before giving 3 day another chance, Four days go by, my check cleared and no design consultant follow-up and they now have my additional $4,000.00. Due to the inadequate communication and credit approval process, I had decided to finally contact the design consultant who said sorry, that's our policy, take it up with corporate. That is truly what she said. So, I did. For the next 3 months I was bounced around from one customer care specialist to another. In the end, Amber Neely contacted me to tell me that they no longer wanted to do business with me and that they would refund all the monies and could keep the product as if I was the problem and not them. TO DATE I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE FULL BALANCE DUE ALHOUGHT I HAVE IT IN WRITING THAT THEY WILL DO SO OVER THREE WEEKS AGO. Then, I was told " WE DO NOT HAVE CONTROL OVER THE INSTALLERS" Yet without the installation process which installs 3 days blinds exclusively, they essentially told me they have no control over their company. I don't want their product and they will not come and take it away. Keeping the product would imply I am satisfied with them and I am not and FURTHERMORE, Also installation has presented a MAJOR safety hazard from incorrect installation and these types of window blinds use cords to move the blinds up and down. Several children have been getting their heads and necks caught in thesecords as noted in articles published throughout the internet. Small children who don't have much hand mobility can't untangle themselves. Unless help comes right away, they have their breath cut off and strangle. I have nieces and nephews 2 and 6 over all the time and despite my request to have this problem corrected, have been ignored, told to keep the dangerous non-compliant installed shades and to top it all off, they drilled into the concrete so often and so much that they have now com[promised the integrity of the structure of the building as cited by the City of San Diego Building inspector. I have now retained an attorney and to date, they have not responded to the firm I have retained requests. So, I will update this review after our court hearing which will take some time. If you look at the social media reviews of this company, you will see this is not an isolated problem and wish I would have taken the time to do so prior to contracting them. The are crooks, thieves and absolutely are not compliant with city and state laws and regulations and have very poor opinionated and in-experienced people in the corporate customer care department - Customer Care? Give me a break !! Run don't walk away if you are thinking about doing business with this company, they are horrific.

Very pleasant in home consult. Nice woman. Blinds came very quickly. They were not inexpensive. They were ridiculously difficult and oddly time consuming to raise and lower with a huge number of pulls. Why they found it acceptable was truly weird. No one would. Poor mechanisms. Very poor design. They replaced the "clutch" which required less effort but still were funky and difficult. Avoided using them since they were so difficult to operate. Then the most important shade in our bedroom cord broke when I was raising the shade this AM. In only a few weeks all 4 of 5 shades needed repair one repair and then then a failure. How many weeks do the others have before they fail? Items like this are supposed to last for decades not months. I am a 6 foot one 230 pound man and it was difficult for me to use cord to raise shade plus it is very uncomfortable on your hand. The other windows re high and you need to get a step stool to reach the cord ....truly nutty and illogical to be installed that way. I want my money back. Do not use this company their stuff is second rate. We went with another company for the rest of the shades in our remodeled home.....no problems .I wish we would have gone with the brand name.

I made a call one afternoon after my new windows were installed and I had a consultant out the next day (a Saturday during a snowstorm). I really appreciated the quick response. The consultant remembered me from two years prior when I had blinds first installed by this company. She appreciated my situation quickly and even talked to the owner of my window installation company. My blind "problem" was quickly resolved at a price I really appreciated. The installation was done over two dates. Each installer was prompt and displayed great workmanship in stalling the blinds. I would definitely recommend this company to others - professional advice with prompt action and courteous service at a fair price.

The design consultant was in it for the commission and completely disappeared when she made a mistake with the order (room darkening shade versus light filtering). She had me sign on the dotted line and trust her design expertise, but in her excitement over getting a pressured deal, she selected the wrong product but refused to admit it. The 3 Day Blinds customer service refused to change the order once it was committed, until it came in and did not fit. They would only give me a lesser order (with pull chains instead of with pull / release shades) to save face over the mis-measurement.

I'm revising my previous critique. The day after I posted my previous evaluation, I received a call from a friendly and concerned manager (so sorry I don't have her name handy). We discussed my experience, my issues and concerns andshe seemed genuinly interested in working things out with me. She's doing all she can to erase all records so I won't get any more junk mail. She'll work with with me to get blinds that I can enjoy at a color and price I can live with. I'm going to have another sales person come over to review the options with me again, and promises not to leave early. Thank you, 3-Day Blinds manager for being being so responsive, conscientious and willing to fix past issues. I look forward to doing business with you. I expect I'll update my review again (having the manager's name on hand) after 3-day comes again; but for now, I'm very happy to be back on track and very much appreciate the customer service. The experience would have been palatable, except they shared my email with a marketing company and now I'm getting junk mail from CoreMotivesMarketing. I always ask companies not to send me junk mail or distribute my info, so they get a big F for that point. I'm writing so long after the fact because I'm mad at them again each time I get another junk mail. They had nice blinds but the ones I wanted didn't have a color for me.Curtains were very expensive. The sales lady was good, but had to leave early.

It was a wonderful experience for me.
Description of Work: The representative/consultant showed up right at the agreed to time. It was a really wonderful experience for me as practically the first color sample she showed me worked with my furniture and I knew the color choice would provide the warm and inviting feeling I was hoping for after I painted. The blinds are lightless with one left hand wand and one right hand wand. The windows are awkward to get to and the changes in wand position have made it easy to use. The installer showed up right on time and was finished in less than 1/2 hour. I knew the minute he put up the first blind that it was a perfect color choice. He showed me how to take the blinds down so that I would be able to paint. Looks pretty easy. I would definitely use 3 Day Blinds again. Especially Leah from Milton.

We called to get a quote because everything seemed very reasonable and they were happy to come out and quote for free. The rep was very nice and went over the history of the company and how all of the people involved with the company were all official employees of 3-Day Blinds and not sub-contractors. Some of the blinds we wanted were not available for a month but the others were available in ~week. The guarantee, as we understood it, was that the day your blinds are available they get installed in... 3 days. So we gave them the go-ahead and they charged us the $900+ cost immediately. Deadline for the 1st installation came and went with no contact from an installer or our rep. We called and called and finally had to call the corporate HQ and send email. My wife was transferred to a regional manager who received her frustrated complaints very well, he kindly explained to her that our order wouldn't even be available for months later than we were even promised. They cancelled the order and we are waiting to see how long the refund will take. We're calling Lowe's as we should have done first.
Description of Work: We had a rep come out and give us a quote, all the measuring and quoting was free. Thought about it for a few days and then placed the $900+ order. We were billed immediately and the first install date came and went with no replies (some of our order was not available until a month later), this even after multiple attempts to contact both the rep who came to our house and the corporate HQ. We ended up talking with a regional manager and cancelling the entire order because the blinds were not even available until months later than we were initially told they would be available.

Representative was very helpful in providing estimate for window treatments in new home, providing many suggestions and ideas. Ended up going with another supplier, due to selection of fabrics and colors, but that was no relection of service provided. I would recommend that someone should have 3 Day Blinds from Katy on their bidding list when in the market for blinds.
