The meeting was good she had a few no longer samples but there was a choice. Measurments were done. They were fast to call for install were very nice to reschedule to fit my needs. The day of install one blind did not work because of size. Was remeasured and ordered, the installer did go over how to use the blinds. One week and they were again ready to serve and did fit. Now December the wand on the patio blind broke at the link of the wand at the turning mechanism. They did order it and came quickly. So far everything is working well !

I met with a sales rep, Nicole Paolini, on July 16, 2014 and ordered polymer shutters for my living room windows, wood shutters for my kitchen and a shade for my bathroom. The items were installed on September 20, 2014, which was the accepted time frame. After the installation, I had to register my warranty information with the actual manufacturer of the shutters, and I need an order number to do that. I called my sales rep. twice and left a message about what I needed. I never received a call from back from her. Seems like follow-up customer care is not a priority after she's made a sale. I had to call the installer of my shutters, who called me back right away, to let me know he would get me the information within the same day as my call. My installer, Efrain Nieves, was very professional, courteous and helpful. He also helped me take down my existing curtain rods because I couldn't get the screws out of the wall. So, other than my experience with the sales representative I met with, I am happy with 3 Day Blinds.

Garrett Contopulos (installer) rudeness in our home with comments such as, "I will just take everything down. I do not care.' Kerry Bedwell changed design (center open vs side open) without our permission requiring drapes to be remade and reinstalled. SIX appointments to correct and reinstall over a TWO month period. Screws and anchors left in our carpets and shower. Seams that do not match. Finally refusal by customer service to correct THEIR errors. 3 Day Blinds became 60 day blinds. DO NOT BE RIPPED OFF BY THESE RUDE INCOMPETENT PEOPLE

The saleswoman came out on time and was very friendly and helpful. We placed our order with her and all seemed to go very well. Only problem was the custom size sheers were not in by the time we were promised. We waited for a couple extra months and they finally came. The salewoman seemed to disappear in the mean time so the lack of communication was a little frustrating. I think she is handling too many clients so perhaps they should consider hiring some other help. Other than that, the drapes turned out absolutely beautiful! Installation went off without a hitch! I was pleased overall. Thank you 3 day Blinds!

The order was placed and we were assured that temporary coverings would be Fed Ex'd to us and should arrive in 2 days. We. called 2 days later when they hadn't arrived and was informed they "no longer do overnight deliveries, they arrived a week later. They had taken a 50% deposit. 4 weeks later they called to inquire about how well we liked our blinds. They hadn't been installed yet. Nor had we had a phone call to schedule installation. We received several phone calls from the regarding billing regarding the location of the check we gave them. They had debited our account for the 50% but apparently lost the check but wouldn't own up to it. About a week later the installer (a sub contractor) installed the treatments and we were happy with the quality. If I had to do it again I'd go to Lowes or Home Depot.

How many ways can window coverings go wrong? Quite a few, it turns out. - The designer returned the next day because she thought she might have written down the wrong color of fabric. She was right; she had. We were happy she noticed before submitting the order. - One of the Hunter-Douglas blinds came with the pull cord on the wrong side. This was not 3 Day's fault because the order was correct. We kept the blind anyway because it wasn't a serious problem. - One set of curtain rings did not match the curtain rod and had to be re-ordered. - One curtain was installed incorrectly - it should have been 2 panels opening in the center with 2 wands, but it was installed to all pull from one side using 1 wand. So we had to get another wand. - About 10 months after the install, one end of one of the curtain rods fell out of the wall. The installer had simply screwed into drywall with no anchor. None of this was terribly major, but all in all, it was pretty annoying. To their credit, they did refund the $580 installation labor charge as a gesture of good will. I wouldn't use them again.

The in home consultation was stress free and friendly. She was patient with us, as we couldn't really decide. She gave her expert opinion and gave us the small details of how the shades would work. She also pointed out the pros and cons (cord issues, privacy issues), which was nice. I do wish, since she said she was an interior designer at one point, that she would have guided us more on the light filtering of the particular shades we ordered. I think she knew the shades would be really dark, but she was really only giving us what we wanted, and I won't blame her for that. The shades were installed. Beautiful wooden weaved, mostly dark brown with hints of red and green, top down - bottom up. It made the room super dark. It just took away the beautiful bright room we had. We ended up doing an exchange and they were awesome about it. They are custom shades after all. We ended up ordering the honeycomb shades in a light color with full privacy. It lets in the light but give full privacy. Overall they were great. I guess what I'm pointing out is research more, go to a show room and see the different kinds of shades, go to at least 3 places, ask for take home samples. The samples they had to show us were about 5X7 and that was impossible to get a true idea of how they would look. If the business is reading this..... need much larger samples! :)

The first issue was the fact that they kept misspelling my name and sent the estimate to the wrong email address. This caused a delay of several days. Once I finally got the estimate I had to make payment in full before they would begin work on the blind. I received an email on Feb 4 telling me the estimated ship date for the blind would be between Feb 7 and Feb 14 and that the cust serv rep would be back in touch closer to those dates. When I had heard nothing by Feb 13, I contacted them for an update. I received a call from them on February 15 saying they would have to wait until Monday to check with the factory as they were closed for the weekend. Monday afternoon I had heard nothing so I called them again only to be told they did not have an update for me. On Wednesday, Feb 19, I heard from them again only to be told that the factory had misplaced the template for my blind and it would be ready to ship in 7 to 10 business days. When I asked for an expedited date I was told there was no way to rush the factory. Then on March 1 I received a call from them saying that the measurements written on the template didn't match the shape of the template and they would have to send someone back out to re-measure and make a new template. When their contractor was here to make the template we discussed what had happened and he showed me a picture they had sent him of the template they said was incorrect. It WAS NOT my template, it was not even the same shape as my window. The factory had apparently dropped the ball again but was trying to blame someone else. Re-measure was done and this time I took pictures of the template before the guy left here. I had been assured that the build would be expedited this time and I would have my blind soon. On March 16 I had still heard nothing so I emailed yet again. This time I was told the blind would ship on March 20. On the afternoon of March 20 we received a call stating that the blind had been overnighted and should arrive Monday March 24. (overnight???) They scheduled the installation for March 24 between 3 and 5. When the tech arrived to install the arch I showed him the window in the study where this was to go. He then asked if he could see the blind!!! His records showed that I was to have the blind here. When I told him that was the first I had heard he called 3 day blind cust service and they told him they had shipped it to me and it had been delivered that morning. He asked them for the shipping address and they gave him the address of their warehouse which is over an hour from my house. So we had to reschedule - again. Since I have an international trip planned 3 day suggested we wait until after the trip and install then. I said absolutely not since I wouldn't be home until May. Installation was arranged for today, March 28. After the blind was installed in the arched window you can imagine my frustration when it is not what I had asked for!!!! However, rather than start over with this company that laughingly calls themselves 3 day blinds rather than the more accurate name of 68 days for a single window blind to be done wrong, I will simply wash my hands of this company, their horrible design services, ridiculous joke of a customer service department and cut my losses. The only thing positive I can say about the entire experience is that the company they contract to do their installations was pleasant to deal with. If you are looking for custom blinds avoid 3 Day Blinds completely. This has been nothing but trouble for the truly 68 days it has taken to get the blind that in no way matches what I requested!

Stay away! Very poor customer service. The blinds look nice, but they delivered the wrong valence for our kitchen blinds. It was white instead of birch color. Reordered again (after a week of phone calls). They called and said it was in and scheduled a installation date between 12-2pm. After waiting 2 1/2 hrs i called and they said installer was running late. After another 1 1/2 hrs he called and said he couldn't find the valence, so no installation. Next day called and they said it was in another warehouse so i arranged an installation next day between 8-10am. No show, no call, left at 10am. One of the worst companies i have ever dealt with. Do not use 3 day blinds !!!!!!!

The first order of blinds in one room had the cord on the wrong side and so they had to reorder it. Blinds in the master bedroom are a mess. They do not close fully.They have come out twice to attempt to correct them and have not. They left me extra slats to do it myself saying warped slats were the issue but it is not.

I love the look of my whole house thanks to finishing touches provided by 3 Day Blinds ! The selections were vast and the end results are amazing ! The installation excellent and the salesperson Barbara accommodated my special request which included supervising the installation ! When I read the negative reviews on Angie's List , I almost cancelled my order , however , they assured me that I would be 100% satisfied if I let them do the installation ! I am 110% satisfied ! The in-house consultation was excellent. But there are multiple problems with the followthrough: 1) if you really want the blinds in 3 days as the name say, you have to pay a premium for shipping. The least expensive way is ground shipping - but that's not three days. 2) I scheduled the installation for two weeks after the consultation/purchase date due to the Christmas holidays. When I hadn't heard ANYTHING by Jan 8, I called the rep who did not respond. So I called the company line directly. They told me that the order was on hold and not placed, but no indication why. Later that day I received an email from the sales rep who said that the order hadn't been placed plus there was a shutdown of the factor over Christmas week. OK - I knew the factory was shut down - hence the two week install date. But there was no consideration given of the fact that the order hadn't been placed. So the new delivery date was Jan 17. 3) Received a call from the installer and planned for installation on Jan 20. Just got a call this morning (Jan 20) from installer, that blinds haven't been delivered yet - supposed to come tonight. So we rescheduled installation for Friday Jan. 24. So right now, I don't have the blinds. My credit card was charged for the full amount in December. They are - IF installed on Friday - at the very list 5 week blinds, not 3 day blinds. In Summary: 1), the installer has been very professional and responsive - he just hasn't received the blinds yet 2) the in-house consultation rep was excellent, follow-through has been lousy 3) the company's support line was responsive 4) I can't comment on the quality since the blinds haven't been received. 5) the 3day blind premise is, at best, misleading. You have to pay a shipping premium to actually get them in 3 days and then you also have to have an installer appointment. As a company, in my experience, you have failed to live up to your promotions and committments. 6) I still don't have my pre-paid blinds installed,

While it was great to have someone come in my home and give ideas and suggestions for blinds for my home, I am unhappy with two aspects of the service. First off, the salesperson suggested shades with a pull string for several windows. But she neglected to tell me that this style of shade is extremely hard to get up and down. The large one over a set of sliding glass doors is almost impossible to use. They look great, but only if you don't want to actually change their position. We had to get a second set of pull strings installed for two of the blinds, because the ones she ordered were way too short. Secondly, we wanted blinds over two skylights. The salesperson estimated the size and placed the order (charging my card) but said the actual order wouldn't be placed until the installer could measure the windows. She took pictures to show the installer. After seeing the pictures, the installer said we'd have to have a platform or scaffold installed before he could install the blinds. We said no, but then weren't refunded the money that was charged to my credit card. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Why would anyone place a charge for something that hadn't been ordered yet. We still need replacement blinds for the skylights, but won't be using 3-day again.

The consultant was average. She gave us one style of blinds to consider, and it seemed as if it was almost a chore to give us samples of that style. I had to ask multiple times to understand and see a selection of shutters. In the end, I ordered through them, but looking back I wish I would not have due to the following. 1. The consultant was only average. 2. It did NOT take 3 days, it took about 3 weeks for the shades, and 3 MONTHS for 1 set of shutters. 3. They got a portion of the order wrong, and it never got corrected, I have given up on getting it fixed. 4. The woman who calls to set up the installs is awful. She seems to hate what she does, does not provide any flexibility, and it took about 4 days for her to get back to us both times we called her. 5. I did not shop around on price, but pretty sure these were middle of the road shades, sold at a top of the line price (which should have come with top of the line service).

BADLY. I needed a replacement blind for the glass portion of a door in our bedroom, as the blinds purchased from Home Depot had broken. I made an appointment for 9 a.m. on October 1, 2013; the service technician was over a hour late - having left only about 15 minutes to get from her home in the San Fernando Valley to my home on the West Side of L.A. in rush hour traffic (normally an hour's drive). She measured the glass poriton of the door, and then quoted me an installation price that was about twice the cost of the actual blinds (they have a minimum of 3 windows' installation), and gave me the option of having the blinds sent to me and letting me install them. The blinds arrived, and we made an appointment with our handyman to install. When he got there, we found that the blinds were approximately ONE FOOT too narrow. It took quite a bit of doing to get someone on the phone at customer service, and then some additional angst getting someone out to the house (we'd been living with a "window on the world" in our bedroom for roughly 8 weeks at that point) to re-measure. They did come out and re-measure, but it was several days from then that they actually even placed the order for the replacement ("3 days" seems to be a metaphor). Getting someone on the phone at customer service is a trial in its own right - first off, the phone tree is voiced by what seems to be a teen on an overdoes of Red Bull, who actually says, and I quote directly: "Please listen CLOSE as our menu options have changed." Now, when I was in Elementary School, we learned the appropriate use of adjectives vs. adverbs. This girl was evidently out sick (or at the mall) that day. Furthermore, when you've made your selection, you're informed by the same teen that your hold time is 5 minutes or less (which, as it happens, seems to be from the same mythical kingdom as 3 Days).The voice then comes on every thirty seconds during the entire hold period (waaaaay longer than 5 minutes or less - in fact the "3 Days" seems to refer to the hold time, not the time for making and installing the window coverings) and tells you the same thing - 5 minutes or less (it might be useful, or at least less annoying, if they updated the information rather than just repeating it every 30 seconds). I actually raised this (including the "close vs. closely" issue) with the rep when I finally spoke with her, and she said that I'm not the first to complain about it, and that every time someone does complain, she sends an email to management. To no avail. As of now, December 9, I am still waiting for my 3 day blinds, and everyone can still see in my bedroom. When we first moved into the house 17 years ago, I had 3 Day do my blinds for several windows. At that ime, service was fast, prices were reasonable and quality was good. Something bad has happened in the meantime.
