Do yourself a favor and use a different company, as other customers have noted -- customer service is horrible -- from first hand experience, I agree. STAY AWAY. Good initial experience with in home consultant Georgia, however Invoice was increased by $100 during processing by Scott Mendez, VP Sales. When I couldn't contact the design consultant Georgia directly regarding the price discrepancy, I contacted the company call center and spoke with David A. David stated that my order invoice 51957.0580 was in the system for $2000.02 and he sent me a screen shot of the order to confirm. David stated that the order was placed although he would contact the design consultant to find out why 3day increased the amount to $2100 when the internal system showed $2000.02. After another 24-hours passed, I called the company call center again and this time spoke with Eric. Eric stated that I needed to wait for the design consultant to call me back -- I told Eric that the design consultant and I were having problems getting in touch with each other and that it had been four days since we spoke -- I asked Eric to please transfer me to a manager so that I could find out what was going on -- the conversation became heated between Eric and I -- when I insisted, Eric stated that no one was available -- I told him I would hold. After 40-minutes (I took a picture of the phone timer screen), Eric told me that I would need to contact Scott Mendez., the regional sales manager (he's actually the VP of Sales). I called Scott M. and he stated that I should not have received a copy of the invoice from the call center and that he (Scott M.) would NOT honor the original $2000.02 price, no matter what the circumstances. I felt deceived and mislead, typical bait-and-switch tactics not to mention "shady". I thought it was worth one more shot, so I asked Scott Mendez for his next level contact -- that persons name is also Scott -- Scott P. I left a voice message for Scott P. and I did not receive a response. Needless to say, I went with another vendor and you should too.

They were very reponsive to my call, The salesman had good suggestions, arrived on time, and knew his products. The installer was also punctual and helpful. From the time of the initial call to installation was less than a week.
Description of Work: Installed cellular shades in the family room for two arched windows and their rectangular component. Also installed a split shade over a sliding glass door and an adjoining window. Moved one existing blind into the laundry room and repaired another.

I needed the small staples used to secure an indoor shutter louver to the vertical tilt rod. My shutters were not initially sold by 3 Day. I phoned 3 Day Blinds and was told that it is the company policy not sell any repair parts unless the shutters were sold by 3 Day Blinds. It seems to me to be a sad attitude for a company to have toward customer service. They now have one less potential customer.

I never made it past the phone call to schedule a consultation. While asking for my information, the customer service person was curt and had a harsh tone. She sighed often and seemed annoyed that she had to speak to me. I decided to take my business elsewhere.

It turned out as promised. It wasn't the most custom or nice, but for the price difference it was fine. The installation was done very well. They have held up over the last two years. The quality was what hey promised.

It was a very workman like quality. The mechanism in one of the blinds was not working properly. They had to come back take it down and replace it. There was no problem with them doing that. I will obviously use them again. I would have been happier if it had worked in the first place but that kind of thing happens. I didn't check prices against anyone else so I don't know how they compared to others. The last blind that was here was one long one. The designer spent quite a bit of time with me. I though they did a very good job at the design end of things. I choose to have somebody come out to measure.

We had a big problem with them because they messed up the order. What they brought over did not match what we requested. They had to reorder and it took a long time. They finally had to send out an executive form the company to get it right and it was a big struggle. We were very unhappy for a while but eventually they did come through.
Description of Work: They were making shutter for my son’s bedroom window. We had asked for everything to be do the same way as another bedroom that they did a year before including molding, which they did not provide.

It was great. It was absolutely terrific, I would highly recommend them. The good thing about them is that they do not do other things. They do one thing and one thing only and they are skilled at that. They are expensive. They came to my house. They brought their samples. They measure the windows. They came back out and took old blinds away. They came with the new blinds already unpacked. They were in and out of here in a flash. I have used them three times. If they make a mistake in measuring the windows the first time and they do not fit, you are not responsible for that. They are responsible for their mistakes. That is a big thing as far as I am concerned because measuring oddly shaped windows can be very tricky and difficult.
Description of Work: They put in blinds in my whole apartment. It was in about ten windows.

We had three windows that we needed new blinds put in. After looking for blinds on my own I called three day blinds after looking on Angie's list. Someone came out to measure the next day and helped me select the fabrics for the blinds (only took an hour). I rec'd the blinds through FedEx the next week on a Mon. and then they came and installed them by Friday. They look great and I am thinking of using them again for another window once these are paid off.
Description of Work: They came out to measure three windows that I needed new blinds for. The decorator recommended certain styles according to the light, color and size of the room. Ordered the blinds and rec'd them through FedEx about 5 days later, they came out and installed them 4 days after that. Maybe a little more $ than I wanted to spend, but for the service and the quality of the blinds it was worth it.

I attempted to contact the company about purchasing the parts to repair two large honeycomb shades in my living room. The continuous loop pulley system frayed and eventually broke on both shades leaving them completely inoperable. The only way to contact the repairs department is through their e-mail address. (So if you don't have the internet you're out of luck. Sorry!) I sent several e-mails and only got one response saying "sorry for the delay, write back", which wasn't helpful at all. I got tired of this fruitless e-mailing and ordered the parts over the phone with one of 3 Day's "consultants", Rita. After two weeks I still hadn't received the parts and called to get a status. They wouldn't let me talk directly with the repairs supervisor, only another consultant named Dwayne. He said he's have to contact the proper department to check the status and he'd call me the next day. He didn't. Another week passes, still no parts. I called again and talked to another consultant, Omar. Dwayne's not in, he tells me, and neither are the folks in the repair department. He'll find out the status and call me back in a couple days. He doesn't. (No surprise there.) The last call I make is the following week. I talk to another consultant, Manny, who puts me on hold to check the status of my order. He returns after 15 minutes and offers to refund what I paid for the parts I never received. After attempting to get adequate customer service from 3 Day Blinds for over two months, and coming up empty, I'm now stuck with the hassle and cost of replacing two inoperable shades that supposedly had a lifetime warranty. Lovely.
Description of Work: This is a review of the company's central customer service, located in Southern California, not this specific location. (According to the 3 Day Blinds web site there are no locations within Oregon, so I'm not sure what this Beaverton listing is about.) This review is about my attempts to get the parts to repair two blinds that were purchased at and installed by 3 Day Blinds less than four years ago.

When we called the "800" number we found on the internet we were connected to someplace in California. We explained the situation and they said they could send us some clips for free (they could not guarantee they would fit our blinds) but we would have to pay $6.00 to ship them (I figure 3-4 of them could not weight more than 6 ozs. and $1.00 to ship) so without knowing for sure if they were the right ones, I informed them I would take my business elsewhere to some company that was more reliable - I probably can find suitable replacements at Home Depot or Lowes, but that defeats the idea of having a warranty and a local dealer.
Description of Work: We had 3 Day Blinds installed in our house years ago and now we are in need of some clips for top face plates and find that 3 Day Blinds has left Nevada. So much for backing up their warranty!!!

The initial experience of measuring and design help was fine. It went downhill from there. I ordered the blinds in December and they were not installed until the end January and were finished in February. None of my phone calls were returned and I finally called corporate headquarters. I would never recommend the use of this firm (at least in Las Vegas).
Description of Work: I had cellular shades and one vertical installed throughout the house.

Stay away from this place! When we were in the store browsing we witnessed a distraught customer trying to resolve some measurement errors the company had made while installing his shutters. The worst part was the store rep's indignant attitude to work with the customer to resolve the issue. Rather the store rep flat out denied any wrong doing and the customer left steamed. Really sad.
Description of Work: We're looking for curtains and draperies at a reputable store.

My experience with them was excellent. He first came over to finish our consultation. He gave me the options, and the package that I chose was better than that of any of the competitors. The insulation is pretty smooth. I would give them top rating from every dimension.

They were more reasonably priced, and I had a terrific experience with them. They sent out somebody with all the books to show me what they had. We went over just the way different things would look, and it really went very well. It was like having a designer in my house. It was really very pleasant. They have been in business in California. They used to have a lot of retail stores where we could get in. Since the economy has taken a toll on them, they have closed some of the stores. However, I have been very happy with them. The people who they send out are usually pretty knowledgeable.
