I am completely unimpressed with 3 day blinds. The MD saleswoman came to my house, and I ordered blinds for several windows. I was told that I could not do inside mounts, which turns out to be completely untrue. Several weeks later, the blinds finally arrived (not 3 days) and I got the installer to come out. The saleswoman had ordered the wrong size for one room. The installer claimed to take down the new dimensions, and place an order for replacements, but fast forward 6 weeks and I still did not have them - even though I kept contacting the salesperson who assured me they were on their way. When I finally called someone in corporate, I was told they were never re-ordered.When the new blinds finally came, they were still slightly too small, but I cannot see going through this ordeal again...The quality is decent, definitely nothing great - especially for how much they cost!

My experience with them was pretty good. I thought the representative they sent was very knowledgeable and efficient. The guy who installed the blinds was very nice. I wanted something changed and he did that as well. They had to actually order a new blind and he came back and put that in. He was great. I would recommend them to others. I think their quality is good. I will use them in the future if needed.

Professional consultant was nice enough to call me regarding a delay in our appointment. It was no problem for me--just about an hour difference because of the previous client's location. She was very knowledgeable and had years of experience. Previously, I purchased a Groupon Coupon that made a considerable difference in my price. Much less than I had braced myself to pay. The blinds are so delightful to see. They even held my blinds for an extended time so that I could have plastering work done -- (over 1 month before install). Installer contact returned my call when ready and was on time--finished the job in a decent time. What a great Christmas gift to wake up and see every morning. Love them--just love them!!!
Description of Work: She custom measured master bedroom and den for Faux Wood Vinyl Blinds, made recommendations and printed all information at time of appointment. Professionally hung and excellent service during consultant's and installer's visits.

The installer flaked out. He didn't install the pleats correctly so the blinds kept falling down. I called him and he came in and installed them incorrectly. I have to call them again to have them come back out to fix them. I think the company recently expanded and it has created some problem with their work.

Oh boy, where to begin? First, the installer was extremely professional, courteous - a very nice guy! The consultant that was sent to us was rather pushy and opinionated as to what we should have - believe me, I gave my opinion right back as it is my house. I was concerned that her measuring skills were a bit fast and I wondered if she was getting exact dimensions as the windows are all different sizes. (see results below). But I must say she was accommodating as to returning when my husband was home for his opinion. When she did return, she brought her husband who was a little to free with his political opinions (opposite of our) - I had to leave the room! The faux blinds for the kitchen and bath measured perfectly and are exactly what I wanted (although the rods to open for the bath were not the same - one a nice wood, the other cheap plastic). When the installer came with the roman shades though, he discovered that 2 out of the 3 were measured wrong - I knew it!!! And the 1 that we left in is still about 1" too short. It took another 2 weeks or so to get the 2nd round of our "3-day blinds" back - ok, now they fit well. There is a 'cheapness' to the quality of these woodweave roman shades - but THERE ARE NO REFUNDS! So, I guess we have to live with them till we can afford to redo them - and guess who will NOT be getting that job! Lastly - DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE NAME! 3-day is if you pay quite a bit more that the estimate. 3-days became 45 days.

My first red flag should have been that you had to pay for all of it up front. Ordered in Jan 2011 and order was FINALLY completed in Sept 2011. Very frustrating. 1. Valances for blinds were measured wrong. 2. The templates for arches were lost and had to be redone. 3. Installers did not show up one day, did not call either. Wasted a whole day waiting for them. 4. Overall...I would NOT recommend them unless you have lots of money and time to waste.

Before she left, she went out to her car and got her laptop and printer. When she left she handed us the estimated amount with installation. We signed the agreement on the spot. Her price without any discount was less than Major Blinds. The blinds arrived two weeks after we met with her rather than 5 to 6 weeks as the other companies were promising. The installer, Kathleen, called two days after we received the blinds to schedule a set up date for installation. They were excellent.
Description of Work: Lori Patnode is the design consultant with Three Day Blinds. She measured the 5 windows and presented her materials, which were very comparable to major blinds.

The consultant was exactly on time to take my order. He measured whatever we wanted and even took some bllinds off with no irritation. Gave us a four page receipt with his card. It took two weeks to install the blinds. They were short of two blinds on the order. It took about another week to install the two blinds. I was satisfied with the whole service that they provided. Also gave me the 20% discount that I used from Angie's List.

I did not have 3DB perform any services, so I can not rate them in this category. The sales pitch was bad enough!
Description of Work: 3 Day Blinds (3DB) sure has it's problems. Two very important things to keep in mind when doing business with them: 1) They do NOT do shutters. They use a subcontractor for all shutter jobs (they use Danmer), and 2) In the San Francisco Bay Area, there is only ONE office. 3DB has been closing all of their offices over the last few years, and they are instead going with in-home sales and service. If you need something done, you have to go through a "call center" and you will not be speaking to anyone local. To add to the confusion, if you are ordering window shutters (aka plantation shutters), 3DB does not manufacture or install these--it is all subcontracted out to Danmer. When the salesman was in my home, I asked a simple question about the warranty on the shutters. Instead of coming back with an immediate answer, he fumbled around looking through paperwork for the answer. I had my laptop in front of me, and all I did was a quick Google search and i found the warranty. For whatever reason, he did not believe the web page and instead got on his cell phone to call headquarters to find out what the warranty is. He was bounced around from person to person for about 15 minutes before he ever got the answer. I thought to myself "Wow!!", if the salesman has that much trouble reaching someone at Danmer, then just imagine how difficult it will be for a consumer. The salesman also did not know the product AT ALL, and every question i asked him was met with the usual ridiculous answer that everyone gives these days which is, "You know, I've never been asked that question before". He's never been asked about the warranty?? There are also other online reviewing sites that give this company a HUGE thumbs-down--do your research and you will see how rotten 3DB is. They might be a tad cheaper than everyone else, but you get what you pay for. I went with another company because they knew the product and explained the various categories of shutters (Type 1, 2, and 3). Make sure you learn what the differences are before you go shopping so that you will be informed before the salesman shows up at your door.

The estimate went well, with Jason, the estimator, arriving on time and being very professional. However, he gave us a range of installation dates that were one to two weeks away. I asked him about the three-day part of the company's name, and he explained that 3-day service would require a surcharge of about $400. I opted for the normal delivery, and the installers came in about 10 days. It was the idea of three days that made me call the company in the first place, so be aware that if you need window coverings that fast, you'll have to pay extra. The installation was very professional, but after the installers left, I realized that the blinds on one window opened right to left, when they were supposed to open from the center to each side. I called Jason to discuss this; he acknowledged that he had written the order wrong and put in a work order to replace the head rail free of charge. So far, so good. However, after hearing nothing more for three weeks, I called the central customer service number. The woman there was very helpful and, after researching the problem, found that the head rail had indeed arrived at the installer two weeks earlier and was just sitting there. Part of the problem appears to be that many of the installers are separate companies under contract to 3-Day, so there may be some communications issues between them. Anyway, after not hearing anything for another week, I again called customer service and within a few days an installer came out with the new head rail. It took him and me only a few seconds to realize that the new head rail was a foot shorter than the original it was supposed to replace! The meant that he had to take it back and send in an order for another replacement. This time, the replacement was delivered directly to me, and I had to call to seek an installation appointment. It took another two weeks (plus calls and an e-mail to the company) before an installer came out to replace the head rail. This time, the replacement head rail turned out to be too long!! At this point, my wife lost her patience and demanded that they take everything off that set of windows and refund our money. The installer, of course, didn't have authorization to do this, so my wife called the main customer service phone number. The agent steadfastly refused to take back the bilnds because we had signed a contract, but he did agree to (again) replace the head rail. When my wife said she wanted it done within 3 days, she got the story that they can't guarantee a 3-day delivery, despite the name of their company. By an large, the product and installation were fine. However, the company stumbled with the replacement. While everyone was very polite, it seemed that the replacement order kept getting lost in the cracks, requiring me to call to find out what happened. Perhaps 3-Day is just getting too big, and it's too difficult for them to keep track of everything. Moreover, there's really no excuse for delivering replacements that are too short or too long, especially since the company's agents did the measuring, not me. If/when I finally get the new head rail installed, I suppose I'll forget about the long delay, since I'm satisfied with everything else about the blinds. However, given my experience, I wouldn't do business with this company again. I also wish they'd change their name to something less deceptive.

I agreed to buy the blinds from them when they came. It took a while for someone to get in touch with me. I had to get in touch with them to find out the status of the blinds. I got in touch with them yesterday to check what was going on. I was told that the blinds had been delivered and someone will contact me and someone did contact me. The person who came out was professional. I would not use them in the future.

We used them in the past and everything went well. We then contacted them in April and they came out to measure. Once the order was placed it was one big fiasco. originally they said the shudders would take 6-8 weeks. The other blinds were supposed to be within two weeks. My husband took off work to wait for the delivery and they never came, this is at the end of June. A lot of them did not fit and they then had to re-order more blinds. We are still waiting for the products and have paid for much more than we have received. The customer service is awful and we are now approaching 3 months.

Everything as promised. Timely and professional. Installer left area spotless...took packing materials and old blinds with him for disposal.

. They came out and measured the window. They assured that I would be completely thrilled with everything I get. So I ordered it Three weeks later they came and installed it. The blinds came out very nicely and the blind installation was really good. However the valance was not very satisfactory. I would not use them in the future.

I am NOT happy with the 3 Day Blind Product. About 2-3 years after we had the blinds installed in our home, some of the stringing came undone on several of the blinds. When I inquired about their guarantee I was told over the phone that I could get the blinds repaired if I took them down and shipped them to California. I would have to pay for the shipping and any other costs involved plus the inconvenience of going weeks without any window coverings on several of our windows. At this time, I would not buy another 3-Day Blind product.
Description of Work: I was very happy with the in home consultation and the installation of blind coverings on multiple windows in our home. Very professional and punctual. The amount spent on the blinds for multiple windows was 600-800+ (not an approximate at this time) as it may have been more. I destroyed the original receipt/paperwork after I was told the only way a repair could be completed would be by shipping the blinds to California-no local repair available. This information was not given when the blinds were installed.

I submitted my contact information online for a quote for shutters to be purchased and installed in 2 rooms of my house. One set of shutters was to be measured and installed on a set of French doors on the rear of our house, the other requested quote was to be for a large front bedroom window needing coordinating shutters. I promptly received a response, and was impressed with the scheduling agent. From there, things went downhill faster than I could blink. The sales agent (the ONLY sales agent or "Window treatment designer") contacted me, and scheduled an appointment to come measure and quote us the next morning. I cancelled my morning appointments to be available for the sales rep. 10 minutes before our scheduled appointment, she called to cancel stating she had been held up in Austin overnight. She rescheduled for the following evening around 5pm. Again I made myself available and cancelled plans to be sure to be home. Again, she called an hour before our scheduled time and stated she had over booked herself, and would not be available to meet at our second scheduled time. As I'm a sales executive, I can appreciate scheduling conflicts. We made a third (and final) appointment for Saturday at 10am. Saturday morning she called me at 8am, so explain she was having car problems, and would not be able to make our appointment. At this point, I was a little annoyed that she was rescheduling a 3rd time, and didn't feel she was reliable. I expressed my concerns about her scheduling issues, and stated I would just look into another blind/shutter company. Upon hearing this, she leapt into a curse-filled tirade. I explained that I didn't appreciate her inability to keep an appointment and was no longer interested in having her come to our home. She hung up on me, then called back 20 minutes later to continue her sob story about how she is overworked and underpaid. (I can appreciate that, but again, if you don't like your job...find another career.) Again I kindly explained I had already contacted another company, again she mumbled something derogatory, and hung up. I called 3 Day Blinds to explain my plight. They told me she would be reprimanded, and that a Houston rep would contact me to provide a quote. I never heard from her, or 3 Days Blinds ever again. Lousy Service, and a VERY unprofessional rep for the San Antonio/Austin area. I would look elsewhere if you are shopping around.

They were very very good on the phone. They came out when they said they would. The guy was very very helpful. He left his cell phone number if I had questions later. I was very pleased. They were very professional. They clean up after themselves. I couldn?t tell they were here. Their work is very very good. I would tell other people to call them when they are ready. They are prompt. Their price is comparable to a lot of other people. Even if it is on the high side, it didn?t matter because they were so good. They said they would call back. They called and said they were on their way and would be here by 10 o?clock. They were here promptly at 10 o?clock. I would recommend them.

In terms of initial installment it all went well. My only complaint is that if you do have a problem it is difficult to remedy on the other end. To dismantle something and take it in, mail it in or get them out here it is too difficult and expensive. I would probably use the again in the future with some reservation.
Description of Work: Originally I went into one of the three day blind stores. We did multiple rooms. The black out blinds that we used are really effective if that is something you want for the bedroom. The other blinds, which are regular, we are pleased with.

After making an appointment through the call center a voice message w/contact number was left by the consultant. I returned the call within a couple of hours that evening and left a voice message for the consultant confirming our appointment. The next day the consultant was a no show. I called the call center, they tracked him down, he indicated that he left a message that he would not be available...my caller ID doesn't indicated there was a follow up call to his initial call. The call center offered to contact another consultant via e-mail. She never contacted me nor did anyone else from 3 Day Blinds. Very disappointing since I had rearranged my schedule to accommodate the initial consultant, waited nearly 45 minutes while the call center tried to reschedule.
