The consultant arrived at our home on time. She seemed knowledgeable, having had ample experience with companies over the years. Problems arose when obtaining prices of the various window coverings. Apparently the office staff which she called was not clear on the prices or the promotional discounts being offered. There were some awkward communications between the consultant and her support staff. When she finally did e-mail the bid it was not clear what we were being charged for or if the discounts were actually applied. While she came out with samples of 3-day blind materials, we ended up with Hunter-Douglas products, the more expensive line, as being the one we should purchase. The confusion left us with some doubt as to whether we were really getting the best price and the best product. Consequently, we decided to move on to another company.

All of the work was done very well. The installers were very friendly and worked efficiently. They also showed up on time.

The design consultant was fine, showed me all the products and made suggestions. She showed up promptly when scheduled. But then I didn't hear from the installer for over a week (3 day blinds?) and had to call to track them down. I will say that when the installer showed up on the finally agreed-upon date, he did a fantastic job and was very efficient and cleaned up nicely -- no drama.

I was not happy with 3 Day Blinds Inc. The process started back in August. The time it took to get the product was too long. When it arrived some of it was damaged and they had to re-order. The installation company they used, the first person that came out was not experienced enough to do the work and ended up being quite rude to my wife. Since then they've had a different installer come out and he's been excellent. I would rate him personally an A grade. The people showed up when they said they would, but the office hasn't responded when they said they would.

This experience started out pretty good. The Associate called me back and asure me he would be prompt for our 10:15am appointment. He was on time, but when I opened the door I pretty much knew we weren't buying anything. The person they sent us had a checkered tie and a kangol hat. He wore mittens as to not have to shake my hand. He spent most of the time telling us how he was a music writer for Disney and how the royalties had paid for his car. Despite the circus act (this guy was a clown) he did measure the windows, but gave no input as to what a good alternative would be to shutters to save cost. He quoted us $7100 for shutters and pretty much bad mouthed the competitors. When I mentioned the poor reviews on Angie's List, he told me that was the Bay Area, and that they were seperate divisions....This review is for Placer county Area! Overpriced clown show.

Sales person did not arrive for scheduled appointment. Appr. 20 minutes after time due I called to inform them that no one had arrived. Scheduler could not reach sales person but left a message. About an hour after appt. start time we received a call from the sales person that there was a personal emergency and she had advised her district manager to please re-schedule her appts. I understand personal emergencies take place and would have been ok with re-scheduling but when I called back the main office for reason we were not contacted, could receive no satisfactory answer. At least would have expected referral to a manager at that point with a promise to investigate. The one plus was the people I spoke with were all very courteous.

The blinds were ordered, and came in within the time frame that was given. The installer came and took down the old coverings and installed the new ones very quickly and professionally.
Description of Work: Ric Piacenza, the design consultant was knowledgeable and very helpful and assisting me in determining what kind of window covering would be best. He provided a breakdown of cost for each window and gave me lots of options. He was invaluable in his service and expertise!

After waiting 4 weeks for my blinds I found out they were not even made and the color crisp white was no longer available. I cancelled the order what a disappointment. I am not sure why they are called 3 day blinds.

This was the worst service I have ever received.
Description of Work: 3 Day Blinds installed blinds in my house as well as in my father's house. Soon after installation the blinds in my father's house fell off of the casing. They did "fix" the blinds, but they broke again almost immediately. We gave up and sold that house as it was. Meanwhile the wand on my blinds snapped off and I have been trying to get it fixed for well over a month. I have called them at least 8 times. Each person I spoke to said that they would order the needed part again and that they would call me back toi let me know its status. Not one of them ever called me back. I started to try email and experienced the same exact issues. I received answers stating that the part was being ordered and they would email me back with the status. Needless to say, not one has emailed me back. Last week I received my VISA bill, and they had already charged me for this service. They make you pay up front, and now I know why. After reading the other reviews, I now understand that this company realizes there is no money to be made in warranty services. I wonder how many people just give up as imam about to do.

Originally when we called them & had someone come out & give an estimate, the sales person came out the same day & the price was right. However after the job was done incorrectly we had to contact them. The people who answered the phone were rude. We finally got a hold of the sales lady who didn’t return our calls. Finally we reached her & she said they’d take care of it. Months later, still no results. It took about 6 or 7 months just to get them to replace the front picture window blinds. I made call after call & she was always out of town or on vacation – excuse after excuse. I called again & got a hold of her again & she said that the blinds would be shipped in a couple weeks. I called to follow up on this & she told me they were shipped to the wrong address. When the man finally came out to put up the correct blinds he insisted he needed to take the old, wrong blinds back with when we’d agreed with the sales lady that we’d keep them & have them cut them to fit in the bedroom as an apology for the inconvenience. But that never happened. They also said they’d dispose of the original blinds that were there before we contacted them but they never did that. I called again in December to ask the sales lady if we’d ever get the blinds that were supposed to go in the bedroom but after multiple calls I never got a response & finally gave up.
Description of Work: Last March my sister bought a house & had them do all the blinds for the whole house. After her work, I had them do the blinds for my picture window & back sliding glass door. The blinds were put in wrong even with the directions available & they were the wrong size leaving a gap at the bottom. It took from March to January/February of the following year to wrap up this story.

After the densigner sold me on horizantal blinds for my sliding glass door and I can see that was a big issue to use these blinds for a highly used door. I called 3 day blinds and told them that I was very unhappy. The horizantal blinds make the slider hard to use, had to do a lot of pulls to bring the blinds up or down and I am hitting my head at the bottom of the blinds all the time. With that I would have to keep the blinds up and I wanted blinds to have privacy at night. 3 day resent the designer out to take measurements and I was assured to get veritcals for my door. 3 weeks later and still no results, I call almost everyday and get the run around. No one has help me get this issue resolved. They promise to check into what can be done and call back but no one has ever called back. I call everyother day and still I wait.
Description of Work: Home designer came to my house because I wanted vertical blinds for my sliding glass door, the designer sold me on getting horizontal blinds and also an up sale to the pull cord. I explained that this was a highly used door and she assured me that I would love the blinds. When they were installed I could see that these now made my door non functioning, I would have to pull the cord over 40 - 60 time to get the blinds up and down and I hit my head on the bottom of the blinds all the time. as of 3/4/13 3 day blinds refuse to fix the problem, even after they said they would. BEWARE

I used 3 Day Blinds' online reservation service to have someone come to my home to give me an estimate on replacing a older set of blinds. I went on the online chat to ask whether the person might also be able to advise whether the current blinds could be repaired and was informed that they could. I received an email confirming my in-home appointment. I remained at home from work for three hours waiting on the representative to arrive or to call. No one ever arrived or called. I then called the phone number on the email and the person, after putting me on hold for three to five minutes, came back to say that I didn't have an appointment. I stated that I had an email confirming the appointment. I was then told that I should have called to make the appointment. What use is the online feature when it doesn't work? The representative guessed that perhaps the individual on chat had misunderstood and thought my appointment was for repair and cancelled the sales visit and just cancelled it (without telling me, no matter what actually happened). She explained that sales and repair are two entirely different systems and I should speak with customer service. I was transferred to customer service and began to discuss the problem needing repair. The choices I was offered were to 1) have a repair person come to my home, 2) take the blinds to a repair center, or 3) ship them. Since the closest repair center was in Sacramento (I live in Oakland), that was not really an option. I was told the cost of the visit would be $85 on top of the repairs and that the repair person would call to arrange an appointment but the company could not guarantee at all how long any repair might take. I was then informed that no order for the repair person to call to make an appointment would be made without paying up-front. At that point, I just let them know that I couldn't do business with a company like this and would find another to meet my needs.

Consultant, Lora, came on July 12, 2012 and measured for three shades for my kitchen. On July 26th the installer, Jim, came. Two of the shades were obviously not the correct size (didn't install) and upon installing the third over the kitchen sink, I noted it too was not cut to the right size (width was short). Installer said he would leave the third shade there but not attach the cord as I was unhappy with the "gap" between the shade and the bull nose tile. I was told at the time I ordered the shade that the shade over the kitchen sink would only reach the bull nose on each side and not the frame. I accepted this. Well neither side actually reaches the bullnose but on the right side (facing the shade) there is a 7/8" gap that lets the sun in. It looks and is the wrong size!I had a large family gather, people in town for a long week end, so I was unable to call Lora until Tuesday . She was unavailable Tuesday July 31, 2012 or Wed but would contact me. Friday Aug.3, 2012, I contacted her. She's very busy but might be able to fit me in @ 1:30 this afternoon. I decided to call the nation customer service line and spent 20 minutes explaining the issue to no avail. I left it that the installer should come and get the third shade as it doesn't fit properly. The customer service person did offer to send more shades. I didn't see how this was going to work since no one remeasured for proper size and frankly I believe this company just doesn't give a hoot. Who really wants to be aggrevated again by a company that doesn't stand by its product? Very poor customer service. Example: on 7/30/2012 KC or Casey from the company called and left me two voice mails. First, that he had heard of my issue but was unable to reach Lori and wanted me to call him. By the time I heard this message he had left I second message telling me he talked with Lora and the shade should be fine and I have to accept it this way. He has never seen nor asked for a picture (of which I have several), so how would he know? I called him back but only got voice mail. Left a message but he has not called me back. I thought I was dealing with a reputable company but I was sadly mistaken!

This was really a waste of my time. The appointment was set for Saturday, June 16th at 1200. She was fashionably late. We reviewed the process she was to take in measuring the 23 plus windows in the home. I also viewed her samples and selected the matching white plantation shutters to go with the existing trim. I was told originally to plan on about three hours to perform this process. I blocked out the time on this Saturday to be at the home for her. About 45 minutes into the process she took a cell phone call and exited the house, standing in the driveway for about a 30 minute personal call. She then re-entered the house and said it was time to "get back to work."She finished and began packing up her things. She said she would get back to me on Monday with the price estimate. I told her Tuesday would be fine, as well. I have never heard back from this company. I total waste of my time.
Description of Work: There were no services performed. Although the "design consultant" made it to the location and measured all of th windows fort plantation shutters. i reviewed the samples she brought. I never heard from this company with an estimate.

Bradey of 3 Day Blinds came to my home and measured the windows, showed me samples, advised me regarding window treatments, and then emailed me a quote. After that we talked on the phone and exchanged several more emails, and he responded promptly to all my questions and requests for clarification. I ended up getting quotes from three different providers, and I had a hard time making up my mind, since the prices were similar and they all seemed like they would do a nice job.

The process is great. You can book the appointment online and they are very punctual. However they didnt have blinds suited for our needs. We have bigger arched windows in the living area and apparently their faux would blinds are too heavy for that(As per the sales person) They offered us aluminium blinds instead which i was not looking for and for a very high price. I had another company do my blinds and I got faux wood blinds which seem to be good quality for a lesser price. Based on my experience i would definitely not recommend if you have a low budget.

I was not crazy about this company. I would not recommend wasting time with getting an estimate from them; there are other great companies out there. They were definitely the most expensive, and the estimate took forever for 7 windows. The representative was a bit intimidating in her design "expertise," which made me feel uncomfortable. Other companies were just as expert, and were much more friendly and provided the same blinds at a better price point.

Salesman who came to home was new with the company and brought a shadow with him who tended to be a distraction. The window coverings I eventually got were not a very high quality compared to products I have had in the past. they did not meet deadlines. The company is in California, the installers are in Arizona and the communication between them warrents an "F" rating. Imagine sending a product to be installed that is wrong, they know it is wrong, yet instruct installer to hang it anyway. They must think that the customer will take what it gets, rather than what they want. It has taken a couple of months to rectify the mistakes. They promised some kind of discount reimbursement because of the multiple problems and inconveniences with the order. When I inquired about this, they totally ignored the promise. They respond to inquirys with a boiler plate statement and appear to have no knowledge of their product. I would suggest that noone use this company. They are disorganized and not very pleasant to deal with

The roll-up shades intalled in the bedroom were of low-to-moderate quality. The installation was of poor quality and they had to return two times after original work was performed. They do not have a showroom, so it is not possible to see the quality of the merchandise before buying.They demand 100% payment at the time of the order so one has no recourse if the products and service are unsatisfactory.Do not use this company for window coverings in your home.

The plantation blind in the kitchen is very good but one of the willow blinds is still not functioning so we had to call them back. They are very slow and on something things they are extremely expensive. They don’t tell you everything that one needs to know when one makes a purchase. So if we are buying some plantation shutters we might call them again but if we doing rollers or something like that we will not call them again. In the future we would probably avoid them. There are other places around.

The blinds are very low quality and didn't work. I returned these blinds with the promise that they would be replaced in one week. We are now in mid May, and I have been told it would be another month before they can bring these blinds in. I have asked for a refund three times and been denied. I feel if a company cannot fulfill their time commitment in a reasonable time frame they should provide a refund, because they have had over $500 of my money, and I have no blinds. This is a dishonest company. Don't do business with this company.

We received the first sets of shutters without incident. It takes a couple months between the consultation and when you get the final product. We eventually decided to get matching shutters for our third bedroom. We showed the consultant exactly what we wanted and she assured us we could get exactly the same shutters. She ordered the shutters for us and told we should get a call about setting up the final measurement appt in a day or two. After a week with no call, we called 3-day blind customer service. Apparently, our consultant never placed the order so absolutely nothing had been done on our account. They called the consultant snd she placed the order and set up the appointment for getting the final measurements. When the guy representing the shutter company came to measure the window, we discovered that the company our consultant set us up with didn't have the shutters we requested. We were fairly irritated at this point, since we were assured we could get shutters that match the ones we already bought from 3 day blinds before. We decided to go forward with the closet style we could get. The guy measured our window and told us we should receive a call about installation in 6-8 weeks. After two months passed without hearing about our shutters, we again called customer service. The customer service representative did a little research and found out they had not even started manufacturing our shutters! At this point we asked for a refund, which they gave us after a lot of arguing. At no point did we feel our consultant did any actual work for us. She basically took our credit card info and moved on to the next client. We found another company that made sure to keep us in the loop every step of the way and even rushed the order after hearing this story.

Every time I open the blinds 1/2 way either 1 or 2 of the strips fall off the cheap plastic clips. I sued but the company is non-responsive and too far away. They refuse to return mail or phone calls. They provided inferior installation, inferior home assessment and advice, and an inferior product. As of today, 4, 2012, they refuse to respond. Buyer beware!
Description of Work: The consultant came to my home to assess my needs as I did not want to risk messing up the measurements. The consultant failed to consider that there are handles to open the window. The installer never notified me that the blinds could not sit on the ledge because the handles were in the way. They should have suggested installing the blinds on the wall outside the window but I only learned that after-the fact. Again the consultant failed to explain that a blind hung on the wall on top of the door might impede opening the door. When the installer came out and hung them he told me that there were 2 extra strips. He did not advise me that I could only open the door half-way because the hanging strips could not be pulled back enough. When I phoned to complain 3 Day blinds offered to extend the rod so that the blinds would extend over 2 feet across a wall past the door to compensate for this problem.

The lady that came out was very helpful. There was an error on the paperwork with the blinds, so she took care of it right away. Overall, I was very happy with their work.

I took pictures of the blinds, about 20 photos in all. I wrote several letters to my card company and copied these letters to 3 Day Blinds. I praise my credit card company for their handling of the claim.
Description of Work: 3 Day Blinds came to my home and measured 4 windows for blinds. When they delivered the blinds and attempted to install them, they would not fit. The installer actually told me how I should fix them myself! They brought out replacement parts and those replacement parts would not fit either. The blinds looked so bad, hanging sideways and dragging. 3 Day Blinds did not return my calls and finally offered to return part of my money, which I declined. I contacted my credit card company with photos and a letter of explanation. 3 Day Blinds disputed this claim, but I followed with more photos. On January 24, my card was credited with the whole amount of the claim.
