CR Gutters

CR Gutters worked quickly and took care of my roof/gutter problems. High level of professionalism. We are extremely pleased with their work.

Chris is so easy to work with. He came out the same day I called to inquire of his services. I called during a busy time, and had to wait 4 weeks for service. There was a hard rain there and had part of my gutters down, so that was not optimal. He did call a couple times during the 4 weeks and was concerned also with the rain we had, he was concerned, which I was very appreciative. Very punctual, work was all done on the same day. He has since called to make sure I was happy with the gutters the next time it rained. They function beautifully and the work is excellent. I highly recommend this company.

I tried the "contact Us" part of the CR-gutters website twice but was never contacted - I left both my email & cell #. I also left a voice mail saying I tried contacting them via the website to get a quote for gutter cleaning but never heard back. So I went with another provider but was disappointed that CR gutters had advertised in Angie's list monthly magazine but I couldn't get a response.

Chris and one of his crew showed up right on time. They said it would take about an hour, and were finished in a little under. The top floor gutters especially had never been cleaned, and were full of debris and grit which they hauled away. They were quite friendly, efficient and professional, and the price was reasonable. I plan to hire them again.

They came out when they said, but we weren’t home at the time. It was before any big rain, so we assumed he had done everything. When we finally got rain, we realized one of the downspouts was totally in mud, and they did not see it. He came back out, but didn’t do anything to remedy it except apologize. He wasn’t required to fix anything, but part of the job was to inspect all of the gutters.

Chris and Freddy were fantastic. A pleasure doing business with a real professional. They had to remove the downspout to clear the clog. The day of the estimate and the day of work they were prompt and cleaned up after the work was done. Everything was done without issue. I've worked with many contractors over the years and have to say Chris and CR Gutters are at the top of the list. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for gutter/downspout repair, installation and we will use them again in the future.

Chris came out to give us an estimate the same day that we telephoned them. He scheduled the work to be done approximately 3 weeks from that date. They came out when then said they would and completed the work within two days. Very professional company and excellent workmanship. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

I initially hired CR Gutters to clean my gutters in my split-level home here in Fremont, and also to fix one leaky seam. Chris and Toby arrived promptly at the agreed time, and were very professional and clearly take pride in their work. Chris pointed out one downspout that had started to rust through, which I agreed to replace for a very reasonable additional cost. He also fixed a second seam. I will definitely be using CR Gutters in the future and recommend them to the Angie's community.

Terrible. Got lost and totally missed our first scheduled meeting. Rescheduled for the following day and then didn't show up for that either calling me 8 minutes after the end of a 1 hour window that he proposed we meet in to say I never confirmed the meeting (for a second confirmation). No time for this crap. I can't confirm each meeting three times and wait for someone to get lost and not show up. Absolutely would not recommend for anyone that cares about their time.

A wind had taken a section of gutter off the house, and generally the gutters had been sadly neglected for several years. Chris is a very personable, easy guy to do business with . He returned my call promptly, was quick to provide an estimate, and schedule the work, did the work when he said he would, threw in some extras for no charge and gave me the 5% discount, and |a report of the general state and problems of the roof. I definitely recommend him.

Chris arrived on scheduled, which was important since I had to take time off from work to show him the job. My house is two story and the roof is covered with metal tiles. Problem area of the gutter is not easily accessible. Chris climbed up a ladder to the roof and carefully maneuvered laterally to the gutter problem area. He screwed the gutter back into the roof joist. We hosed the roof with water in the gutter problem area to check for proper gutter drainage. I expected only a cost estimate, but Chris did the gutter repair and testing in less than an hour and for a reasonable cost (less than the minimum quoted by others). Chris is very easy to walk with.

Chris, the owner of CR Gutters, and Toby, his installer, were absolutely amazing in figuring out a difficult gutter installation job. We were conflicted in making a choice in deciding who we were going to choose to do the job. It really came down to two companies because of location and scheduling and, initially, we thought it was going to be a flip of the coin. However, when we really discussed what each company offered, CR Gutters come out ahead. After watching these men work, I was extremely happy with our choice. Things came up that had not been noticed and Toby did a great job of not only configuring the gutters to be attractive to the architecture, but to perform well. I can't say enough about both men being respectful, industrious, and communicative. They needed a bit more time to complete the job because of some angles of the roof that added complexity, but they came back the next day and finished the job. I really appreciated Chris's initial suggestions regarding extra securing straps due to our high wind location, an extra down spout because of a long span, and painting the steel down spouts the same color as our house since the steel was not available in our color. Chris delivered!!! It looks TERRIFIC, and they left our home looking the way they found it...CLEAN!!! I would enthusiastically recommend CG GUTTERS to anyone!! Thanks Angie's List for giving me the tools to make this a wonderful experience!!!

Chris was very responsive and came out to give me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable considering the size and scope of the job. He was able to come earlier than we first scheduled and they finished the job even faster than they had planned. As a result he knocked some $$ off the original estimate. I found him to be professional, trustworthy and he did quality work in a very reasonable time for a reasonable price. I'd definitely hire him again for future gutter repair or maintenance.

I don't usually submit reviews but this man (and his company) went above and beyond and I feel that this is the best way to repay him, Chris has no gimmicks or sales, just solid prices and quality work. His bid was way below other larger companies. He showed up on time and completed everything he said he would. He even offered to fix a couple of shingles and touch up some of the paint around the gutters at no extra cost. However, he had to leave suddenly before he could attend to the last two details because his fiancee had a kidney stone. Even though he was under no obligation he returned the next week to finish the extra work. You don't see that dedication and work ethic very much any more. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again and would recommend him to anyone looking for quality gutter work at affordable prices.

Chris is a very likeable and professional person. He was very knowledgeable and reassuring. I was so impressed that I recommended his work to my son who is readying his house for sale. I would definitely hire him again without reservation.

Chris arrived early, evaluated our leaking gutters, and provided a very reasonable estimate for repairing the leaking gutter seams. He offered to repair only the bad ones or all of them. However, because the roof and gutters were done in the past 4.5 years ago by the previous owner, he recommended I contact that company to see if they would cover it for free under their warranty. I called the company and they are going to repair it free of cost. He even told me exactly what to tell the other company so the gutters are repaired correctly. Chris' professionalism and honesty saved me a significant amount of money. I would most definitely use him again.

They were very professional, punctual, everything was good and their price was actually competitive. I ended up choosing somebody else because I needed some carpentry work done as well so I got another firm that could do everything I needed, whereas CR Gutters would just do the gutters. It is definitely worthwhile to get a quote from them.

Hiring Chris to replace my gutters (Cr Gutters) was a great experience. Not only was he super friendly and professional, but he took a lot of care to listen to my needs and focus on doing the job "right". He was upfront about what he wasn't sure about (as I know well, dismantling parts of a 100-year-old house is prone to opening many cans of worms), and when some unexpected contingencies arose, he was extremely accommodating and reasonable in fixing them and worked with me on a fair and well-priced resolution. Once the demo was done, he and his team did a fantastic and beautiful installation job. I was really worried about the look of aluminum gutters and how well they would fit in with my old house, as I often find they can look cheap. My fears were put to rest when I saw them up... the color was beautiful (Chris worked with me to help select the best match) and the workmanship was outstanding. The seams fit perfectly, they used plenty of mounting braces to prevent sagging, and they did a great job fitting them around all the weird, irregular eves of my home. All in all, CR Gutters was fantastic to work with and I'd highly recommend them to anyone needing gutter work.

We contacted CR Gutters. Chris, the owner came prompty and on time. We told him our problems. He listened to us intensely and with good professional demeanor. He went on and inspected our entire roof and gutter system. To make the story short, during the initial and subsquent inspections and conversations, we were made clearly as to what the entire job entailed. The quotes we received were the most detail and complete statements of work I had ever received from any prior contractors we worked with. They clearly stated the locations of the problem, the work required and the cost of each of the items. Chris and his partner Toby came and did all the work as promised. They finished the entire job ON TIME. Thoughout this process, CR Gutters was diligent, professional and treated our property with great respect. When finished, it was clean and without any debry. It was a very pleasant experience. After the work was done, Chris contacted us and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. We said it was. But the main test of their work would be with a major storm. Well, about ten days ago, our area was hit with three rain storms within a period of a week. A couple of days after the final storm passed, I received an email from Chris and I quote: " How have you been fairing with the recent big storms? Any leaks or issues that I should be aware of? I hope the patio downspout, entire downspouts, rain flow and gutter repairs are working well for you." We checked the entire house. The entire gutter system worked perfectly!

The owner Chris came over and gave me a quote of $300 and told me it would take 3-4 hours for 2 people to do my job. Chris tried to talk me out of not putting back my gutter guards. He kept saying that my gutter guards weren't good quality (even though I just installed them last year) and it took him a lot of time to put them back. After I insisted , he put back part of the gutter guards. He didn't clean the downspouts sections which are connected to the ground and told me to ask my gardener to do it. It took Chris and his co-worker 2 hours to finish my job. After they left, the floor is messy and dirty. My gutters and downspouts cannot survive the first rain of this year. I have to hire another company to do it again.

Everyone we dealt with at CR Gutters was wonderful. Chris kept in touch with us and worked within our time frame. (We had a specific week in mind because my husband was off work and could be home.) Chris explained exactly how the day of service would go - that he and Toby would arrive at 8:30 AM, that Chris would then leave for about an hour while Toby cleaned out all the gunk from our gutters. CR Gutters arrived on time, got set up and Toby began cleaning the gutters while Chris headed out for an hour. Chris arrived back and both he and Toby finished up all the work. The entire job took from 8:30 am until about 3 pm. I was a little worried about my garden because the yard is super small and I've planted a lot of stuff near the back porch where CR Gutters was going to install new gutters and a downspout. When I came home, not a single plant had been damaged. True to their word, they were extremely careful and cleaned up everything afterwards. We are so pleased with the work that was performed! It rained within days of the installation, so we were able to see how effective the new gutter on the back porch is, as well as see how well CR Gutters sealed the leaks in the existing gutters.
