+ -1 moreThe new system will prevent gutter sagging and overflowing by draining rainwater off the roof faster and evenly. The gutter and downspout material is high quality and is custom fabricated onsite. CR was responsive without delay to our request for visit and bid. Before they started work, Chris made sure his crew knew the scope of the job prior to starting work. Chris and his crew worked safely. He made sure the site was clean of scrap at the end of each day. His crew was first class. They communicated well and asked questions to make sure we were on the same page. CR Gutters delivered more than what was promised on the job. There was no surprises. The gutters replacement was part of an bigger exterior repair and repainting job. We were juggling 3 different contractors. Chris communicated well with the painting contractor so both jobs went smoothly. We believe the price is competitive with other gutter contractors in the area. There are not a lot of quality contractors specializing in gutter replacement in the area.
Description of Work: CR Gutters replaced all the gutters and downspouts on our 2 story house. In addition, Chris Seeger, the owner, suggested design and functional changes to the gutter and downspout system to improve performance over the inadequate original gutter system.

Description of Work: Owner Chris Seeger from CR Gutters promptly responded to my request for an estimate for replacing my galvanized gutters installed in 1999. He noticed places where they failed and places I never noticed until now. Due to failure of proper cleaning and lack of drain lines, my gutters collected standing water with the corrosive oak leaves. He and his crew of two guys formed preprimed baked on stainless steel gutters matching my old gutter profile. Since I live in a hilly area of Orinda, Chris pressed out the gutter at the court with a generator and walked the 40 foot length gutter up my private driveway. His crew painted the new gutters and downspout to match the old paint on the fascia board and body of the house. To prevent further damage, he blew out all my existing old gutters of debris and installed his own custom made drain screens for all of my downspouts. Despite all of my old drain screens, too much debris fell into the drains that no matter what, I will always need to hire him to continuously maintain my gutters on a regular basis.

+ 0 moreChris was a pleasure to work with. He completed the work on time and under budget. We have solar water heating for our pool on a portion of our roof, and Chris identified that as the source of some rust stains we were getting on our eaves. He used a rubber sealant on the interior of the new gutters in that area to prevent the problem from happening again, and painted our eaves so everything looks good as new. These gutters look like they'll last forever, but if we ever move and need gutters on another house, I'd call Chris again for sure.

Description of Work: Extensive repairs, re-secured gutters, applied elastometric sealant to all corner miters after removing worn existing sealant, flushed all downspouts, removed existing ineffective gutter screens and installed EZ lock gutter screens into existing gutters. Removed all debris and did an excellent cleanup.

+ 0 moreNice guy but results are questionable. I paid for a seam to be repaired. When the rain came, I noticed that the seam was leaking badly and that the repair was not effective. I left a message on Chris's cell phone as well as on his website. I never got a response.

Description of Work: Well I was hoping to find someone to give me an estimate for a large job. Apparently, he has many good reviews. I wanted to hire some reasonable but does good work. I had a good feeling when I saw all those reviews. However, I sometimes wonder when one company has so many more reviews than others.

Description of Work: Called to replace what I thought was a defective gutter. After he inspected the gutter, Chris said it only needed to be cleaned and he refused to take any money for his work even though he drove to our home and spent at least 30 minutes on the issue. Amazing customer service and display of good will.

He spoke with our painting contractor to ensure time lines would be met and to find colors that matched to new paint. Make suggestions about moving existing down spouts for better draining. Offered advice on styles of gutters and down spouts and explained their differences. Very professional crew. I highly recommend them. The best contractors I have worked with to date. Everything went smoothly.

+ -1 moreI called a number of gutter replacement companies and chose CR Gutters because the owner, Chris, was very professional and very informative. Chris explained to me in detail, what he would do and why each step was necessary. He took his time and treated me with respect, unlike some of the estimators from other companies who treated me as if, in their eyes, I was a woman who could not possibly know anything about gutter replacement. Chris gave me a date, a time, and a reasonable price for the work to be done. All the work was done by Chris and his assistant in one day, and they cleaned up after the job very well. Everything looks good, but until we have some significant rain (in our drought plagued area), I won't know if the gutters and spouts work efficiently. I trust Chris knows his business and everything will function just fine.

Description of Work: Chris arrived on time and was very pleasant. He inspected my gutters which haven't been inspected for 10 yrs ( after a new roof was put on the house) and he informed me he didn't want to charge me for services, I didn't need at this time. He stated my gutters were in great shape and educated me on what to look for if a problem arise in the future. His honesty and positive attitude is a rare find.

+ 1 moreChris answered my call and set up time to come take a look the next day - he came right in the middle of the window of time he gave. He's super polite and self sufficient. He explained the particular set up we have, what his best case scenario was (clog in the downspout) and what his worst case scenario was (clog underground). He was also honest about what he's legally licensed to do (worst case scenario would require underground clog removal). We scheduled time for him to come back the next day and start to clean the roof and see if the downspout was clogged and if he could fix it. He also repaired two scutters (I think that's the right term) that had eroded and that I had done a very poor and temporary patch on. I would happily recommend Chris to anyone looking for honest opinions about the possibilities for repairs on their gutters.

+ -1 moreWow! If you want a contractor that knows his craft, has great staff, keeps you informed every step of the way, and is very responsive, this is the company you want. I had had it with a leaky seam right over my back door. Turns out the gutters on the house (which were 25+ years old) were on their last legs. Chris (the owner) arrived promptly on time, inspected my house, SHOWED me the problems, emailed a detailed estimate that day. When the start date arrived, so did they. On time! Great team. Took care of my landscaping and cleaned up every day! We had one blip that was not their fault. Problem with the extruder, BUT I was informed immediately, and it was fixed by the next day. I really appreciated that I was kept in the loop every step of the way. After the work was done, Chris took me over the job in detail and made sure I was satisfied before asking for payment. I plan on having them back for gutter cleaning every year! If you want a nice bunch of people who know their craft - this is who you want for your next job.
