Sconce Electric

Description of Work: Needed a new breaker and outlet installed for my convection/induction range plus a few tidy up's of fire hazards that the flippers of my house left for me. Sent a team in with his foreman - all were polite and professional. Had a little moment where they started blowing sawdust all over my kitchen, but adjusted, apologized and cleaned up the mess. Made a little change on the fly when I asked for an extra outlet. | |Will definitely be using them again as electrical projects come up (there will be more, 1965 house!)

Description of Work: Replaced GFI switch

Description of Work: He came out and did a walk thru but we needed to find out info on the spa's wiring. Our discovery determined that the spa is a 6wire and requires a proprietary box. We haven't been able to afford the parts in order to have him do the work. But will hopefully in the near future.

Description of Work: Mr. Sconce was punctual, professional, pleasant, and helpful. He diagnosed the possible source of an intermittent clicking sound and suggested how to pinpoint it. He also offered solutions to 3 other electrical questions I had around the house. He did not charge us for the visit. I definitely would use him again.

Description of Work: Greg quickly responded to my cries for help. Any time a large appliance was turned on my entire house electrical system would shut down. I should say that my knowledge of electricity is zero, zip, nada. Greg replaced an element in my outside breaker box and it solved the problem. Now, given my knowledge of electricity is nonexistent, Greg has my utmost respect for his integrity -- had he wanted to he could have led me down the garden path and charged me thousands of dollars doing unneeded work. Greg is an outstanding electrician and a honest tradesman -- he will get all my electrical work in the future and I recommend him without qualification.

Description of Work: I telephoned Greg Sconce on 2/14/13 in the afternoon and he said he could come by tomorrow around noon and would give me call with a definite time when he was in route. I received a call around 11 am and he arrive 15 mins later. I was having trouble with a photoelectric control for my exterior lighting that kept the lights on all day and all night, when the lights should have turned off at dawn.. In short order Greg found an interior wall switch by the front door that would over ride the photoelectric contol which was causing my problem. A simple fix don't turn on the switch and the system worked as expected. I asked Greg how much the service call would be and smiled and said no charge. What a great guy and company.

Description of Work: They cam to create a ceiling outlet for ceiling fans. Came on time, charged what was agreed and were fast and cleaned after.

Description of Work: We have a rental home in Roseville that was having electrical problems. Not knowing who to call but knowing I wanted the problem fixed fast I checked Angie's List and contacted Greg Sconce who had lots of great reviews. He answered the phone, was able to see the home on the same day and fixed the problem which was replacing the Buss Bar and Main Breaker at the panel. Problem solved!

Description of Work: Sconce Electric did a job for us on Saturday January 28, 2012 and did a wonderful job. They arrived on time and did the job in a workman like manner and we were very satisfied with their work.

Description of Work: Before I contacted Sconce Electric, I had contacted others from Angie's list. While all were helpful, they were not comfortable with doing work low voltage in residential homes. The name they all referred me to was Sconce Electric. I called Greg Sconce and while he was busy with other work, and said he probably could come out on a Friday, he came to my house two days earlier and fixed my immediate problem and did it quickly and efficiently, (could not turn off bathroom lights). He and his assistant also fixed my outside lights which was of concern with the change to Pacific Standard Time. I did not want anyone coming into the house to struggle with dim light. I was impressed with his work, and I know a few things about low voltage problems from past years in this house and past experience. I knew he was giving honest information. Anyway, I am having him come back to work on other minor electrical problems I have deferred but have decided to do because I respect his professionalism, courtesy, efficiency and honesty. I also had him order some reserve equipment so should (more accurately when) I have a repeat problem in other areas of the house, we will be able to quickly address the problem. I cannot say how delighted and happy I am to have had Sconce Electric help me and give me the Angie discounts to boot.

Description of Work: I used Sconce Electric to put in some outlets and some lights. They also did some interior wiring.
