Electric Connection

We had the electrician out and we determined there were so many additional things that needed to be done that it was not cost effective.

This is the second time I have used this company and the owner and one assistant were as punctual, clean and efficient as on the first job when they installed LED can lights in the kitchen area. Despite it being a late Friday afternoon job, these guys clearly love what they do and have fun with it. They were a pleasure to have in the house; they drop plastic everywhere to contain the dust and the insulation as much as possible, and what little escaped was cleaned up after the job. And, best of all, the lighting looks fantastic.

John and RJ came in and and installed 4 canned light from the deal I bought from Angieslist, and also installed an outlet for the media niche that I provided the supplies for. They did a fantastic job and was done in less than 90 minutes and no mess left behind. They were very professional and I would definitely use them again.

These guys really know what they're doing. They fixed all the power in the sun room and were extremely helpful. They showed up on time, called first and didn't waste a minute while being courteous and friendly.

They were there on time, and a slight problem with our light box. My husband removed the box and they installed the recessed lights.Sometimes the small print is too small. Anyway, they did a great job putting in the lights and their recommended placement. I really opened the kitchen.

Well so far so good that they're not through because I bought the wrong fixture. Other than that they had been very gracious and very kind, they were here when he did what he could do and I had to go back to store and buy another fixture truck and he'll come. I'd call and left we left a message this morning or yesterday and said that they were ready for new orbit. He's got other job for this doing and that's okay because I'm not up against it. I would use them again in the future.

It was great! They came and put down plastic fleeting to keep the dust in place. They were really fast –within 1 hr. I would us them again in the future.

The electrician worked very fast and efficiently to narrow down all the shorts. Turns out I had more than one. Very businesslike and very polite. And nice.

They were friendly, on time, and explained everything they were going to do, making sure we were on the same page. They respected my home, and made sure to protect my property from any messes and cleaned up after they were done. The finished job looks great, and I will definitely use them again.

The provider arrived at the scheduled time. He replaced a defective bathroom fan with a much better quality and stronger fan, as arranged through an Angie's List Big Deal. As previously arranged, he also replace five outdated smoke detectors with smoke/carbon monoxide detectors. He also did some trouble shooting that was not previously arranged, and ended up replacing a defective four-way wall switch and a cracked light switch faceplate. All work was completed in a timely manner and at the rate promised. The provider cleaned up the worksites and tested all the functionality. His demeanor was pleasant and professional. He did an excellent job and I would not hesitate to hire this company again or to recommend it to others.

He does a very good job. He is very thorough, very imaginative, and has good ideas on what work needs to be done and how he is going to do it. He is very prompt, punctual, and he is reasonably priced.

I have used these electrician for years, and I wouldn't use anyone else. Always on time, always considerate and fair on price. They removed old under cabinet lights, and replaced with new lighting. They added another light under cabinet, where there wasn't one. Highly recommend these guys.

Electric Connection are my main electricians. It's a dad and son operation. I've had real positive experiences with them. He's a straight shooter. He tells you exactly what needs to be done. He talks to you and then, he's actually a go-getter. His price was very fair with the parts. Timewise, he goes above and beyond. We had severe electrical problems up in the attic, so basically, he re-wired all the GFI circuits, in this house, which is 3,000 square feet. We use him whenever we need electrical help. He's done about $3,000 of work, total, in my house. He added a sub-panel. On the GFI line, he added three more breakers and lines to the house. He ran an electrical run to the backyard, for a big hot tub and then he ran a 220 line to the shop, way out back, which was a long run, through the house and out to our half acre yard. He ran electric to the shed and put lights in. He put two security lights up. He wired an RV plug and outlet, on the side of our garage, for the trailer. There were several splices without being in the box -- illegal wiring that he fixed. So we brought the house up to code again and fixed all the stuff that was supposed to be done. With all that work, having charged me a total of $3,000, I think that price is very fair.

John was the lead on the project. He came out and did the initial survey and estimate. I found him to be professional, knowledgeable and helpful. I had some ideas on what I wanted done and he gave me some suggestions on how to do them. He was very fast on the quote; which was nice. The day he and RJ showed up to do the work, they were on time (except for some traffic delays, which they called me and told me they would be a few minutes late) and ready to go. Everything went smoothly, for the most part. You can't really know if what you have planned is going to work, till you open up the wall/trace the circuit and really look. When some tasks turned out not to be as easy as we hoped they would be, they found a way to solve the issue and completed the job, in the manner we wanted it done. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

John Seccombe removed the old, broken metal lamp post in my front lawn. He had to dig out the old base to do so. Then he installed a new metal post, pouring concrete to anchor it, and rewired. He reinstalled the original lamp on the top. He installed some temporary supports to stabilize the pole until the new concrete sets. He tested the light before leaving and it works perfectly. He cleaned up the surrounding area to my satisfaction. Oh, and he worked in the rain! I will contact them for any future electrical work.

John worked closely with our concrete contractor while setting the wires and running lines before concrete is poured. He installed light switches in the house so I can turn on and off the lights outside manually if I didn't want to set timers. I thought I could not have lights because I did not plan them until late in the project and finding the right lights that fit under the bullnose finish was a problem. But John called around for me and came up with the right size boxes and light plates.

They went through the Main box and made room for the Spa, RV outlet , 110 outlet, 220 line to shop and freed up 3 extra slots. When they started the box was full and I thought they were going to add a sub panel. They hook up our swim spa and added a RV Plug at the end of the garage with an outdoor regular outdoor 110 V outlet. They also ran a 220 v line out to our shop in the back of a 1/4 acre lot. Johnny and his partner work non stop and finished this job in one day as promise. It was rainy that day and didn't stop them from doing the job. A course it stop rainy when they were finished. They cleaned up the area and you didn't know that they were there. Will be using them again.

Did a lot of extra work to make the box fit into a physical space to meet code, which it never had before (installed before we bought the house--an old house built in 1932, so nothing was easy or accessible). Also home had never been properly grounded. I feel a lot safer now. They were quick and efficient. Dennis who came the day after I called, for an estimate, was very very knowledgeable regarding code and local electric company requirements. I have had 3 previous estimates, and not one of them mentioned that our current box location would not meet code, and that our electric company preferred to be included in any such complicated matter up front. Nothing is worse than finding out all the work that you just had done doesn't meet code and local regulations. They had an opening and were able to show up the next day and completed everything in one day so we didn't have to go overnight without power or on a generator. They cleaned up very nicely and both the City inspector and our Electric Provider signed off right away without requiring any corrections or changes. I had been dreading getting this done, but couldn't have been happier with this company and the excellent outcome.
