SPA Electric install review Dec 2020 For Excellent Quality Electrical work I am strongly recommending John of Electric Connection (916-988-4477). He was recommended to us, by Rob of Cal-X Fun Spas Inc. where we recently bought our Beautiful New Hot Tub. We had considered hiring a different Electrician for our job only to find out that the other guy had not installed our first Hot Tub up to code, and was going to charge us nearly double what John of Electrician Connection charged us. In Contrast, John of Electric Connection arrived on time, was very neat & professional, and completed our job in the time allotted. We had no idea that there was so much to setting up and installing a new Hot Tub. I am so glad that we hired John of Electric Connection instead!!!

John and his crew are amazing! Reasonably priced, honest and 100% accountable. They do what they say they will do every time, and within the given timeframe. I have used them before for small jobs and was always pleased. The whole house re-wire (1932 knob & tube wiring replaced) went very well, even with an old lath & plaster house with weird old add-on structures that caused some extra labor. His estimate was excellent, and even though he did a fair bit of extra work that was not in the original estimate, he only ended up charging us about $100 more!! We couldn’t be happier with the job that was done.

Excellent work and great guys! As soon as I met John for the free quote, I had a good feeling that everything that was stated in the reviews held true and indeed it has! I am totally delighted with the quality of work. John and his assistant had a number of things I wanted done and they arrived when they said they would and worked right through without even a lunch break to finish up by 2:00; AND not once did the power have to be shut off which really helped with my working from home. John called to say he could come earlier and we told him yes. He arrived at the time he said he would and was done with the work in 1 hour. We would definitely call him again if we ever need any electrical work done.

John is the BEST electrician in Sacramento hands down. His prices are fair, he is extremely knowledgeable, and he is a consummate professional. He rewired my entire 1948 home, added grounding, and installed a new electrical panel. The work he did is excellent and far exceeded my expectations. All of the other companies I spoke to said that they would have to put a bunch of holes in my walls, but John said he was good at working with older houses and that there would be very few. When the work finished I was ASTOUNDED to see that there was only one big hole and one small hole in my walls, which were easily patched. He is the old home whisperer!!! If you value your time, money, and want amazing service and excellent work call John. When the city came out to inspect for the permit they actually knew John and told me how lucky I was to have him as my electrician! This is literally one of the best contractor experiences I have ever had and plan to use him for all future projects.

It went great. We were expecting a lot of damage to the lath and plaster and tile to get the new lines, but only two 4 inch circular holes were cut to get to one of the switch locations.

John came over to the house on time at 8AM to fix a bad GFI electrical outlet. He explained to me what happened and fixed the issue easily. It took about 20 minutes to install the new GFI and clean up the wiring behind it. John is quite personable and we had a nice chat while he worked. This is about the fifth time that I've had John do electrical work in my house. Each time the work was done efficiently and quickly at a reasonable price. I recommend Electric Connection to anyone looking for a good electrician. Thank you John.

I couldn’t be happier with the work that was done at my home. John and RJ worked thoroughly and addressed every one of my concerns regarding my 90 year old house. In addition they cleaned up various materials that had been left under the house by workers in the past. They were knowledgeable and professional and I would highly recommend them for any electrical work.

This is the second time I hired Electric Connection. Again, I was very please with their work. They added a ceiling fan in my living room with recessed LED lighting, a light fixture over my dining room table as well as removed flurorescent lights in the kitchen and added recessed LED lighting with a couple of pendent lights over the breakfast bar. They also replaced other existing recessed lighting with the LED to match the newly installed lighting. I couldn't be happier it looks beautiful and their great work has totally transformed the main living area of my house. I would highly recommend Electric Connection for any electrical work.

John and RJ at Electric Connection are the best! I cannot recommend them highly enough. I hired them to do several days worth of major electrical upgrading and new installations in my home. Not only did they do an excellent job, they were a pleasure to work with overall. They were punctual, professional and the quality of their work from start to finish was excellent! John was especially helpful in answering all of my "many" questions and in advising me and making great recommendations for all aspects of the work to be done. I loved his "we can do it" attitude as well as the way that his estimates were broken down into individual tasks which then allowed me to prioritize and choose the work I wanted, and could afford, to have done. I will definitely hire them again in the future. In fact, I can't wait to have them back to complete some of the remaining projects on my to-do list.

On a rainy Tuesday morning, the power in our kitchen went out. I flipped the breakers in the circuit box, but I could not get one of them to go all the way off/on so the power to the kitchen stayed off. I checked the reviews on Angie’s List ( and on Yelp) and decided to call Electric Connection. John Seccombe answered my call and made time in his busy day to come to help us! Of course, it was that one breaker causing the problem. John was able to do what I could not and we quickly had a functioning kitchen! He was on time, professional, and courteous. At my request, he also gave me an estimate for a new box, breakers, and all that is required with that project. I would definitely call John again with no hesitation for electrical work. PS: the phone posted on Angie’s List (916-526-3225) did not work! I did call the number on Yelp (916-988-4477) and John answered on the 3rd ring!

John and Electric Connection were great to work with. Very responsive on the phone, showed up on time for initial appointment as well as the day or service. When I called around for quotes, a few electricians tried to do it just over the phone, but we had a lot of questions regarding the box upgrade and some funky wiring in our dining room. John was very helpful and figured everything out with Roseville Electric and came back to check the size of the existing conduit himself so we knew going in that we would have an additional cost of running new conduit (as opposed to the day of!). John was very understanding and easy to work with when our cooktop didn’t come in on time so we moved the work to the following week. The day of the work went great. John and the other electrician (I forgot his name!) showed up right on time and had all the work done by about 4pm. They even removed our old gas stove and installed our new electric one for us. They did excellent work and made sure that everything was done correctly and fixed some issues we didn’t even know we had! We will definitely use them in the future and have already passed on their info to family.

John Seccombe is an exceptional electrician. He understands electrical fields. I said, “There is a high field here,” and he immediately spotted the cause and knew how to disable it. He is skillful, pleasant, works quickly, and is flexible. A jewel. He came out three times to do things from my wish list; perhaps he prefers to work in bursts, which is fine. He himself comes, with trusty assistant.

John and RJ were on the job at 7am as requested and completed by 11am. We needed 2 chandelier lights and 2 hallway lights replaced. We also needed 2 ceiling fans replaced and 2 ceiling fans added. I also requested a new switch in the laundry room that wasn’t on the estimate. This 2 man crew was very punctual, professional. We were very pleased with the high quality of work performed at a very reasonable price. We did a walk through to test all upgrades as well as the dimmers and remotes. We’ve had electrical work done by John and RJ before and our neighbors have also hired them. We will definitely keep the electric connection’s number handy for future needs.
