One Way Painting

I have not used them yet but Jeff came out right away and went through my condo to prepare an estimate for the interior painting of my whole condo. He was personable and very professional. The next morning I had a detailed estimate of all the costs along with what work would be done. I was very impressed on the throughness of the quote along with his honest estimate of when they would be able to do the job if hired. I plan on using them within the next 4 weeks and will update my review at that time. Update to above - on 3-7-2013 Jeff and his crew came out and started the project. Within a few days my home was transformed into a beautiful, clean environment. I was amazed on how efficient his crew was and how respectful they were of my home and its belongings. There were no paint spills, stains or dirt left behind. Only beautiful walls, ceilings and trim. Before I paid a penny Jeff walked through the finished job with me to make sure I was 100% satisfied and I was.The entire process was amazingly easy and I would highly recommend Jeff and his crew to anyone no matter how "picky" they were.

I cannot emphasize enough how great it was to work with Jeff and his team. I contacted Jeff after reading the glowing reviews on Angie's List. I was in escrow for a brand new home and needed the interior painted before we moved in. Jeff went out of his way to meet with me in the evening, so that I could get an estimate ASAP. Because we were meeting in the evening after work hours, he asked if he could bring his girls (to which of course I said yes), and they were adorable. We might on a Friday evening and he sent me the official estimate on Monday morning. He did give me a verbal estimate during our meeting, so I had some idea of what to expect. I changed my mind a few times about the number of doors and closets I wanted painted, but his office manager Roxanne was great about sending me updated estimates each time. We tentatively set a start date on the date my escrow was scheduled to close. Well, escrows never go as planned and we ended up having to push the date back several times. Jeff and his company were very patient with me throughout this process. I finally got my keys on the Thursday prior to the weekend I wanted to move in, so I felt extremely rushed. Jeff was very accommodating of my situation and my need to have the painting done ASAP. In order to get the job done in time for my move, he sent multiple crews out to paint. I was so grateful!! He and his team met with me in the morning and we walked through my home with the 5 different colors I picked out. I wanted one main color, one accent wall in the family room, dark doors, son's room, and master bath. Jeff suggested a different color for my master bath because of the undertones (which are always so hard to tell from tiny paint chips!), so I took his professional opinion and went with it. The painters were all very nice, professional and clean. They really did such an amazing job in a short amount of time and I could not be more pleased with their work. They are true Pros. I have already gotten several compliments about the quality of my paint job and I absolutely love love my dark doors. I really enjoyed working with Jeff. You can just tell he is a sincere, genuine person who cares about keeping his customers happy. I feel so lucky that I stumbled upon his company. I would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to all my friends and family. Thank you again!!!

Jeff was so great to work with from beginning to end. I contacted them via their website and got a response the same day. We scheduled an appointment for an estimate and Jeff provided it the following day. Jeff picked up the keys the day before painting, since they were painting on a Saturday. I arrived Monday morning and absolutely loved my new office! They did a fantastic job. Visitors and clients have even noticed the attention to detail around the trim and ceiling. I am starting on a home remodel this month and plan to call Jeff for the painting.

Two courteous guys came out a did a beautiful job is less than 8 hours. I am somewhat of a perfectionist and the workmanship was excellent. I highly recomment One Way Painting.

We needed to have the exterior of our house painted. We have used Angie's List in the past and were quite satisfied with the results. One Way Painting Inc., was at the top of our local Angie?s List providers. They state on their AL page that they are EPA certified and use ?Green? practices. We first met with Jeff when he made the site visit to our house. He toured our exterior for the estimate. He said he knew the area and could tell when the houses were built. He said nothing about lead testing or precautions. Our house and our tract were built before 1978 Lead paint restrictions were in force. There was no lead testing done by One Way Painting before the work was started. He did not give us the Renovate Right booklet for us to read, and sign acknowledging understanding of remediation requirements and methods before started the work as is required by law. I grew concerned when I looked outside my house after the pressure washing of the stucco, wood shingle siding, fascia and eves and saw the amount of paint chips and debris in the flower beds, lawn, and driveway. I talked to the workers on site about the chips and my concern about contamination; they were very polite and offered to power wash the chips down my driveway into the street. They also offered to use a leaf blower to clean up the rest of the chips. I requested that they sweep them up with a broom and to get as much of the other chips up as possible. I consulted another EPA Certified Contractor who told me that the house should not have been pressure washed without water collection and plastic to control the spread of the paint chips. He also told us that most painters do not pressure wash anymore because of the difficulty in collecting and disposing of the potentially contaminated run-off and debris. He also told us that we should have been given the booklet and signed it before ANY work commenced. I spoke with Jeff on the phone that day and in person several times in the next few days expressing my concern, and requesting that the soil be tested for contamination from the run-off. Jeff assured me that he KNEW that these houses didn?t have lead bearing paint, only 30% or so ever used lead paint. He also said that we weren?t given the booklet because of the small area involved. At that time he said, it was only required if more than 20 square feet were disturbed. The law requires it be given regardless of the size of the disturbed area. My husband pointed out that the disturbed area was far larger than 20 square feet. Jeff said he was sure enough to do the painting without any of the preliminary testing of the structure. We kept insisting that we wanted the soil tested to determine if there was any contamination from the run-off. . He suggested we go get a daub test at Home Depot and test it ourselves. Not particularly practical AFTER the pressure washing and after the painting over of existing paint nor would it indicate ground contamination He also told us, testing wouldn?t be a good idea since if it came back positive, we would have to disclose it on selling. Several days after completion, he tried to give us the results of a daub test of chips that he said he had taken from the drop cloths around our home to show there was no contamination. There was no indication that those chips were from our property. We wanted a qualified third party to do lead test the soil properly and that One Way Painting pay since he did not follow the EPA guidelines. He suggested Patriot Labs for the testing, told us what the cost would probably be, but he wouldn?t pay for it as it would eat up all the profit on the job. He knew what the cost for the test and for each sample. A few days later, he provided us with the results of a two sample soil test after telling us that it would take at least four samples. These samples were supposed to be from our front yard and back yard. Again, there was no practical validity to the test as the alleged samples were taken without our knowledge, when we or our sons were not home as none of us witnessed the sampling or gave permission to enter the back yard for samples to be taken. Although our dogs are very friendly, we don?t allow strangers to enter the gated back yard without our knowledge or permission for liability reasons and to ensure the gates are closed when they leave. He admitted in an e-mail that if he had followed the law it would have more than doubled the price. He claimed he bid it as a paint-over and not a re-paint. The first item on the contract was to place plastic as required. He failed to place plastic as required by the EPA regulations. 1. The law requires that contractors provide the contracting party with the Renovate Right booklet before work starts. He did not do so. 2. The law requires, we sign and acknowledge reading the booklet and to know what the required remediation steps are needed BEFORE work starts. We were unable to sign because he failed to provide the booklet before work started. He did not provide the booklet until after the work was completed and we asked for it. 3. The terms of his contract as written by him said plastic coverings would be placed as required. He did not place plastic as required by EPA regulations to catch run-off. 4. When asked to have proper testing performed to determine if there was contamination, he twice attempted to use questionable methodology to satisfy us. After being informed by another EPA Certified Angies?s list approved Painting Contractor what is required, and also as stated in the Renovate Right booklet, that the run-off from pressure washing and other paint debris is to be collected and disposed of as hazardous material, we determined that it was necessary to properly test to see if our property was contaminated by his willful failure to follow the EPA regulations. We asked that he pay for the testing . He advertised as EPA Certified. He purposefully didn?t follow the EPA requirements We want to be reimbursed for the costs of the qualified testing, $450.00

I couldn't have worked with a better company than Jeff and his team. I felt completely at ease and trusted everything he said as I believed he would fulfill his commitments and more. He did! Now I sit and wonder what colors I will change in the next few years because having my place painted by One Way Painters was so painless, the work completed was perfect and Jeff and the team were such gentlemen and true professionals.

The workers did an excellent job. They were very conscientious as to details and constantly checked with me to ensure I was satisfied. They seemed to take pride in their workmanship and did not rush just to get the job completed. I would not hesitate to use the company again for any of my painting needs.

Called for an estimate. Jeff promptly returned my call and we set up appointment for estimate. He was right on time and very professional. I told him what I wanted done and he explained exactly what he would do and answered all my questions. I chose One Way because Jeff seemed honest, experienced and gave a fair price. His crew was punctual and professional. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to family and friends.

This is the third time I've had my house painted and this was by far the best and most professional experience I've had with house painters. Manuel and his helper were very meticulous in washing, scraping and sanding everything. I've never seen a crew work so hard prepping a home before painting it. He was also very good with helping us pick out colors, getting and applying sample paint for us mutiple times until we were happy with the colors we chose. They cleaned up their mess every night before going home. They fixed everything I asked them to fix. Jeff made sure we were happy with the entire job before asking for payment.

Their quote was higher than the painter I ended up using. They were very prompt when they came out and even followed up on their quote.

They did a great job. The guys were very good with the spray gun. They were very conscious with their work. They finished in a good matter of time with great results. They are all A's, from the salesmen down to the workers. They were all very polite and professional. They worked very well as a team.

It went great and the guys are always friendly and profesional. I like how they see things that need done and just take care of it for free without making a big deal of everything. They are also great about coming back for touch-ups and very flexible to make you happy.

I was waiting to receive something and I finally called them and asked for the quote. They apologized and sent it to me through an email and I couldn't believe the cost. They did come out when they said they would and they were professional.

They were punctual and Manuel , the lead painter, went the extra mile to attend to every little detail that we brought up. He is an asset to his company. Jeff, the owner, checked in on his team but really didn't have to. They did a great job.

Very good experience. We contacted One Way Painting back in July and met with Jeff McCabe soon thereafter. He gave us what we believed was a fair estimate. Jeff was very honest with us about the fact that if we hired them that the company probably wouldn't be able to start the job until September. As it turned out, that worked out much better for us and in fact the office manager, Roxanne, kept us informed of any earlier openings that occurred. The crew arrived by 7:00 AM on Monday, prepped and began initial coats in a few rooms. All of the large furniture was carefully moved to the center of the rooms and covered. Protective paper was taped securely in place over our wood floors and plastic sheeting was hung all around to further protect carpet and furniture and newly scraped and painted ceilings. The crew politely asked how late in the day they could work, so I felt that was respectful of our evening, after work time. When it became apparent that they would have to work fairly late on the third day to finish, we were concerned about the quality of the finishing touches. However, the crew realized this as well and said that they would have to finish on the 4th day in order to do a good job. We were impressed with this and indeed they returned very early the next morning and completed the work. We are very happy with the way the job turned out and with the courtesy and professionalism shown. We will definitely consider hiring One Way again.

The best house-painting experience I have ever had. Jeff and his crew were totally professional and zealous in their attention to detail. Very neat and clean work. Most importantly, they were not rushed and took the time to get things right. They made the extra effort to work with me and get the stair and cabinet finish looking they way I wanted - which resulted in extra time not in the estimate.

We contacted One Way Painting after seeing the great reviews on Angie's List, and received an email from Jeff the next morning. We set up time for him to stop by and give a quote, and he was there to the minute! After getting what we thought was a very reasonable quote of $2850 for the entire house, we hired One Way Painting for the job! They actually painted the house while we were on the east coast on vacation, and did the job in 3 days. We absolutely LOVE how it looks! We are first-time home buyers, so we were concerned with our color selection, and Jeff was a great resource. His advice to go "one color softer" than we wanted for the pink girls bedroom was right on the money! The neutral "bone" color that we used as the base for most of the house also looks great, and plays off the white baseboards and dark cherry floors really nicely. They were also able to accomodate our request to use a low-VOC paint which we much appreciated. Obviously, we weren' t here when they painted - but they left the place in pristine condition. It was a very high quality paint job, Jeff and his team are incredibly professional, and we will definitely be using their services again. We HIGHLY recommend One Way Painting! Thanks.

After deciding that the ceilings in the house were just too tall for me to paint myself, we decided to get a few quotes for someone to come and paint the interior of our new home. Since I had purchased the paint already because I wanted a specific color, and it happened to be on sale that weekend, we just needed to pay for labor. One-Way Painting wasn't necessarily the lowest quote that we received, but with the Angie's List discount and a small credit, they came within a few hundred dollars of each other. We ultimately chose One-Way Painting primarily because they are a Christian based business and also because of favorable Angie's List reviews. And to top it off, originally they were booked up for the time frame we wanted to have the work done and I was going to have to hire a different painting contractor when One-Way called me because someone had cancelled and they wanted to see if the opening worked for us and low and behold...it was the exact days we had originally wanted it done! Divine intervention! The guys were on-time and finished within the quoted time frame. They were very courteous and conscientious of making sure to cover our new hardwood floors. After settling in, I have found just a few spots where the wall paint accidentally got on the door jams, but nothing worth complaining about...I will eventually need to touch up the doors anyway now that the walls look so fresh! Very pleased with the work that was done by One-Way Painting.

I am going to use them in the future for interior painting. They are doing my neighbors house right now because of ours.

This company is awesome!! At first we were only planning on having exterior work done. Ron Bartz came out and provided an estimate. They were about mid-way in price to three other bids but we selected them because my husband was so impressed by Ron's professionalism and the fact that full payment was not due until completion and walk through of the job. Jeff McCabe arrived on the first day of work (prep day) and thoroughly went over the arrangements and introduced the crew (Antoni & Juan). Again, Jeff''s professionalism could not be faulted. By the second day we were so happy with Antoni & Juan's work we decided to ask them to paint the inside of our sun room. After a quick call to Jeff, arrangements were quickly made for the sun room to be completed the next day! We are so happy we went with our 'gut' feeling and chose One Way Painting! Without a doubt, the company is the best we've ever had the pleasure working with. Antoni & Juan's work ethic was outstanding! They were punctual, worked diligently to such a high standard and were both so pleasant to work with. We loved them!! We will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.
