One Way Painting

I thought the original estimate was a very fair price and expected to pay a lot more. All damage to the house was repaired and any imperfections were cosmetically fixed. Jeff, the owner of the company, gave me some great suggestions on colors. The house painting came out incredible. My wife wasn't sure about the colors and almost changed the color scheme before it started. So glad she didn't. The paint job came out great. I'm pleased with the quality, the colors used, and the professionalism showed by employees of the company. Please spread the word. Great company.

Jeff came out and gave me a competitive bid for just mudding, floating, texture coating, priming and painting the ceilings. I hired his company because I felt he gave me honest & straight forward answers to my questions. As the project progressed I asked him to give me a bid on painting the walls. The price was good and based upon how his crew preformed I added the walls to the contract. They finished the project in good time and cleaned up after they finished. A week later I noticed some areas that were not to my liking. I contacted Jeff got and immediate response with the problems being fixed fast. Jeff McCabe and company are one of the very few contractors I have worked with that are truly exception and will gladly recommend and hire for future projects.

How do I being to tell you how nice it is to work with someone who shows up on time, does the job you ask them to do and leave the place clean as though they've never been there?! Contractors take note! When initiating requests for bids I sent two pages of questions that I wanted answered on the initial walk around. Five contactors out of eight returned my request and of that five only Jeff McCabe bothered to go through and answer my questions. When he showed up he had it printed out with his answers. No one else bothered to do that and in fact, one showed up with his girlfriend in the truck, walked around my house real quick and gave me a "ball park" figure. Jeff scheduled me about six weeks out because he had other jobs and it wasn't a problem for me as I wasn't in a hurry to have it painted. His foreman, Jose, showed up, spoke clear English and got started on the job. Everyday the men were on time and were clean and courteous. After they had painted a great deal of the house we decided the color was to white for our tastes and Jeff worked with us to lengthen the schedule and repaint the house a different color. No attitude from him or his workers, which was greatly appreciated. After the house was painted, Jeff walked the whole house with me to make sure I was happy with the work done and that the guys had cleaned up after themselves. This has been an encouraging experience for me after having heard horror stories from friends and neighbors who have had contractors do have the job and then leave and either came back to do a hasty job lacking in quality or some that never returned and then they had to start all over again to find a new contractor. I feel a little more confident in getting more jobs done around my house now that this has been exactly what I expected. Thank you Jeff, Jose and crew!

I cannot praise this company enough. They are very professional starting with the first telephone contact with Roxanne & the meeting with Jeff for the estimate. They listen to what you need and act accordingly. The 3 painters that worked on both phases of our job were not only excellent painters, they also were very careful to cover everything & cleanup each day when they were through. They worked so diligently & quietly that at times I forget they were here. Euriel who was in charge of the crew has an excellent eye for detail & he made sure that our requirements were met. As he worked along with the other 2 painters, he was also checking on what they were doing so that all would turn out right. He also took the time to explain the different paint finishes so that the right choices were made for our job. And he was always happy to answer my questions as they went along. There were a few minor touchups that needed to be done which were taken care of right away. I have already referred One Way Painting to a couple of neighbors who were very impressed by our finished projects.

I found them on Angie's List. From the beginning to the estimate/evaluation through the entire process till the end, they were just excellent. They were very open to questions. They were always accommodating if asked to do something or asked for information. I would highly recommend them. They were very professional. If we had any issues, they were accommodating to make everything like we wanted it. The pricing was very good.

Jeff (the owner) came to give the estimate and discuss my requirements and colors etc. He fulfilled my desire to have top quality paint and a job which would last for many years before repainting would be needed.I thought his estimate was very fair and accepted it right away.We set a date for work to begin. The power washing and subsequent covering of windows, concrete work and also the swimming pool with plastic sheeting was carefully done. The crew arrived early and left late and completed the job in three days.They were very pleasant to deal with and on the last day we had a "walk through" to examine all the details of the work they had done. Any little areas which might need another touch of paint were taken care of. They even painted the wrought iron railings in the front yard which had not even been mentioned in the estimate. I would definitely hire this company again and recommend them to friends.

OMG these guys are Great! Fantastic Job !!! Very Professional, we were lucky enough to get them in early cause they had a opening. Everything was done in our new home with out any need to have them come back and touch up. Attention to detail is amazing. We had new carpeting and tile through out our new home and they didn't get a drop on anything. I would recommend to everyone... Showed on time stayed late Even came on Sunday to finish cause they knew we were moving in on Monday/Tuesday. Painted all baseboards Sanded Doors Ceiling and 2.5 Bathrooms in different colors. Did the trim in a White and casings and Walls in a French White the full Bathrooms in a Tiffany Blue and Half bath in a Green as we requested. We selected the Colors from Dunn Edwards as that is the company they use. Left us a bit of paint in case we needed to touch up later on after moving and banging walls. It turned out Amazing Could not be happier :))

This is a great company. Jeff McCabe is a pleasure to work with and his entire staff and crew were great. They came as scheduled and exceeded our expectation throughout their work. Great attention to detail and wonderful quality. They were very professional and accommodating. We are vey pleased with their work.

The price was really good. They were very friendly. They completed the work in 4 days. Everyone there did a good job. I felt very comfortable leaving them at the house alone to do the work.

Jeff and his crew were great! Not only did the walls and ceiling look great, they left my house as clean as when they arrived. We will use Jeff again when we need painting done.

From start to finish it was great. Jeff came out to give us a quote and was punctual, polite and knowledgeable. He explained exactly what they would do and how they would do it. He promised me a quote the next day, which I received. The painters were on time, kept the house as neat and clean as is possible. They were very good about going back over areas we weren't 100% happy with on first pass. You don't pay a dime until the job is complete and Jeff personally came back out to check on things near the end to insure we were happy. We even added additional painting requirements at the end which he quoted for me and then finished about a week later, but did not request payment until ALL of it was done. This is a great company that cares about its customers and I will definitely be calling them up in the future when the outside needs painting.

Jeff came out to do the estimate. He was on time and was thorough in his explanation of their services. I received a quote via email later that same day. His quote was the middle of the three that I received, but I decided to go with One Way because I was impressed with Jeff and he had a crew that would be able to do the work in a time-frame that fit my schedule. The first morning of work, the crew was on time and got to work right away. I went over the colors I wanted with the foreman, they power washed the house and sanded the wood. Prep was impressive. They repaired the stucco and patched the wood eaves expertly. The only problem that arose on the first day was due to power washing. I learned the hard way that some of my doors and windows are not watertight. It was a good thing I was home when the backyard french doors were power washed. I would have come home to an ugly situation. Roxanne at One Way called twice over the course of the job to check on progress and to gauge my satisfaction. Both workers were professional, friendly, and they were busy for the entirety of each day and did a very good job. At the end of day 3, I walked around with the foreman and pointed out a couple locations that I thought needed touch ups, which the guys remedied before they left. I am very happy with the result and would definitely use their services again.

Our 33-year-old home badly needed an exterior paint job. There was a lot of deteriorated wood trim and siding including dry rot and termite damage. We thought perhaps we needed a carpenter to come first but after reading Angie's List reviews, we knew that One Way would be our answer to one-stop shopping for beautifying the outside of our home. The job was immense (3200 sq. ft. house) but the crew (Antonio and Juan) was incredibly thorough and meticulous. The job took longer than expected (thanks to extra repairs), but the crew never hurried or rushed and just kept plugging away making our house amazing. Our expectations, which were quite high to begin with, were exceeded! We plan to live in this house for years to come and we wanted a finished product that would last us a decade and we feel we received that. Jeff McCabe, the owner, is very professional, always available, humble and fair. We requested the highest quality paint (Dunn Edwards Evershield), but Jeff said that's One Way's standard paint--no mark up! Jeff didn't take one dime from us until the job was completely done to our satisfaction. With the wood repair and the rich, quality paint, our house looks brand new!

I called the main number to One Way Painting and was greeting by a very nice women. I asked her if we could schedule a time to get a quote on some interior painting in my two story condo. She asked how many rooms and I told her one bathroom, a vanity, hallway and some drywall repair. She told me that during the summer they can't take on small jobs. I asked what a large job consists of and she said five or more rooms. She was very nice but I was caught off guard by the fact I was turned down for service. Good for One Way painting for being busy during the summer but it might be time to grow your team so you can except small jobs during the summer.

Jeff gave me a competitive estimate and project finished this past week. He sent two guys and everything was completed in three days. The workers came on time every morning at 7 am and worked quietly and efficiently. They did a good job of cleaning up after themselves which I truly appreciate. I'll be hiring them again on future jobs.

Jeff's paint crew was fast, professional, and detail oriented. They really respected my home. I would have these guy over for a beer. They ended up using more paint than anticipated. I paid the additional cost but it was worth it. I rather them do the job right then skimp on the paint.

I got four bids on this job. One Way Painting is the only company that proposed doing the job correctly i.e. priming all surfaces to be painted and using an oil based paint that would match the existing woodwork not needing painting. The other three companies, in addition to bidding much higher than One Way, told me the job was very difficult because some of the existing paint was oil based and some was water based. None of these companies planned to prime all the woodwork to be painted nor use an oil based paint matched to other woodwork such as around the fireplace. In addition to painting woodwork I also needed to have repairs made to woodwork damaged by earthquake and three generations of dogs. I rank One Way painters among the best in the business. I was truly astonished by the results. The repairs are faultless. After the painters left, I washed the woodwork they did not paint. Now all the woodwork looks fresh and sparkling. I highly recommend this company. I intend to use them for annual maintenance on the exterior of the house and when the exterior needs painting it will be OneWay Painting that does the job.

From my first call to Jeff, everything went perfectly! Jeff called back quickly and we set up an appointment for an estimate. Jeff showed up on time. The estimate was very reasonable (I also got estimates for two other painters). I also requested that Jeff use a very special oil based paint for the baseboards and doors. Jeff's painters showed up on time and did a superb job. They were truly professionals and covered everything so well. We referred them to my daughter and her husband and they will be using them as well. You won't be disappointed!

My wife and I were looking to get the exterior of our house re-painted. We knew going in that the job would require a bit of pre-work before the actual painting started. We called One Way Painting based on the Angie's List recommendations. The owner, Jeff Mcccabe, came out on the appointed time and gave the house a thorough inspection with my wife and I tagging along. He was quite thorough in seeking to understand what we wanted and was very clear on explanation of his pricing and proposed timeline for job completion. He also explained some specifics on the paint products I was considering, showing his knowledge of his craft. All in all, it was a good initial experience with this contractor. Jeff did explain that being an older house he was required, as a contractor, to test for lead before proceeding with removal of old paint. Sure enough, the older original paint on our house had lead which required additional abatement procedures, and hence higher cost, for removal. To my surprise, Jeff actually came back to the house and repeated the test for my wife several times at different locations on the house to show her the results. I felt this went beyond a "trust me" approach. Work began on schedule. Manuel, the foreman on the job, was very good. He and his crew worked very h****** the preparation. My wife and I did walk-arounds each night as the work progressed. Manuel was always willing to listen and act on our comments without any issue despite putting in a long day. He also assisted us in deciding our final color choices. We had five different colors applied to the house which we knew would increase final cost regardless of contractor. The actual painting seemed to proceed without a hitch but we and Manuel found that the paint supplier had mixed one of the colors improperly. The color in question had a subtle greenish hue. Manuel called Jeff. Jeff took our concern seriously and uncovered the error at the supplier end. To his credit, he quickly took care of the problem and the correct color was applied without additional cost. I was extremely satisfied with the preparation prior to painting. Preparation required a fair amount of "Bondo" patching, the only way to go, as well as some wood replacement from termite damage. The crew also put up at no additional cost some new replacement light fixtures we had purchased. The house now has new life and even the neighbors have commented on the great job we received. We were not required to put down a pre-payment. Payment was only due when we were completely satisfied. How refreshing! To summarize, we got a great job, at a good price, done on time that exceeded our expectation. This is a great company and I will certainly look to them again for any future painting needs.

What a class act. The best contractor I have ever used. Very professional and courteous. The drywall repair and painting was of very high quality. They have my business whenever I need painting.

This is an excellent Painting Company. This is our second time that we called Jeff McCabe. Jeff had previously done the interior painting of my Mother-in-Law's home-located in Laguna Woods, Ca. They did an excellent job! So, it was time for my husband and I to begin working on our home (33 years old). We had Jeff come out for an estimate of painting our exterior home. I love the fact that Jeff is very pleasant to work with and that they are a Christian Paint Company! Jeff understood what we wanted: basically our home is huge: we just repeated the dark wood trim and to have the beige stucco repaired and also include our beige brick stucco walls on the exterior of my home-located outside the courtyard area. I believe that Jeff began working on our home approx. 3 weeks after the walk around estimate. We did not have to give a deposit--Jeff would only accept payment after our approval was met! (now this was really nice!). Jeff's painting team came by mid-week: I believe it was a Wednesday. They arrrived between : 7:30AM-8AM each day. Juan and Antonio were very nice to work with. They both were very competent in what they needed to do. My home has extremely high vaulted ceilings--almost Cathedral like. They had no problem with their ladder--getting up to the ceiling for patch, crack and repair work. They used one small area of my backyard to store their tools,etc. These men are extremely hard workers! I don't remember them taking many breaks--they do take a lunch break. The total number of days to complete my house:5 days -almost all consecutively--because they did NOT work on Sunday. So basically they arrived between 8 AM-4:30PM on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They took Sunday off-and returned on Monday. The job was completed on Monday. I was at home-but I felt comfortable without supervising. They protected my interior appropriately with plastic draping--for example-my formal dining room table/formal living area. Jeff came by to check on the Painters-halfway through the project and asked how things were going. At that time, I was happy with what the men had accomplished. It was great to see my home look rejuvinated!! :)!! It is not easy to paint dark brown wood around stucco--which is light beige. They did a very nice job! Jeff returned a couple of days later--after the Men completed their work. We went over everything. Their were only a couple of minor repairs: they extended the outside line too high above my front door. It was partly my fault: I did not see this until after the fact--but they came back to do the stucco over the dark paint--looks gorgeous. Also-minor areas inside; Just 2 areas where the ceiling and the wall met--needed some clean up. Like I mentioned before--my ceilings are cathedral like-they repaired them by re-sanding and making the lines look cleaner. This occurred on Friday--3 days after they completed the work Overall: Very good work!! My husband and I were quite happy with the entire outside and ceiling work. Jeff is very reliable. If you need to get in touch with him--he always calls you back . The painters cleaned up the one area of my backyard where they put their tools- and returned paint cans to the garage, got rid of all trash, returned all vases outside and patio chairs to their original spots,etc..Also, the painters laid down plastic and tape -to the entrance of my home--all around the exterior--and removed all of the plastic and tape-when finished. Everything was put back in good order. So to sum it all up: Good job everyone!! Thank you so much Jeff We will call you again--if we need any painting done in the future! They are on Angie's List. They were excellent. Their price was reasonable and pretty comparable to another guy. I decided on picking them because they sounded really reliable. They had good integrity. The company was really good. It took a week to do it and they did a great job. I would definitely use them again.
