Lucky Sully Chimney and Duct Cleaning

Originally had no response to 2 phone messages but after the 3rd call there were no problems arranging appointment and completing installation. Brian was a courteous, friendly installer.

Pleasant on the phone. Upfront with cost. Very professional. They took my information, worked around my schedule. They sent an email and text confirmation along with the technician's name (Brian). Brian texted me that he's on his way. Came in on time. Very nice and pleasant. Did everything quickly and neatly. He even played some classical music on our piano for me and my 3 month old. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Excellent; and from what I've been able to ascertain, their prices were competitive. Based on excellent service, fair prices and generally good reviews, I suggest you need not shop any further. I highly recommend this company, as well as the technician, Brian, who was efficient, courteous, neat, and professional. (An aside - if you have a piano, ask Brian to play a few minutes for you - he is quite good.) Interestingly, the chimney was swept from the top, up on the roof. Also, although I had expected at least some small amount of soot to get into the house, absolutely none did. Oh, a comment on costs. The initial chimney sweep and inspection was $139.00, as indicated below. The repair work came to $550.00.

Mike is one of the most pleasant people I've met. He called to say he was ahead of schedule and asked if he could come early. Worked for me! He had also sent an email after my initial call to confirm the original appointment time, which I appreciated. He showed up in a top hat (or is it a stovepipe hat?), which was a wonderfully whimsical touch that further demonstrated his commitment to his profession. He laid down heavy duty cloths to protect the flooring before cleaning the fireplace. He cleaned from both inside and outside, going on the roof to clean the chimney. It about an hour. It is nice to deal with people who know their business, do it efficiently and with genuine friendliness. We'll feel safer now that any creosote buildup has been removed. He even removed the ash and residual wood from our last fire and left not one speck of anything on the hearth. We are looking forward to the next cold night! Thanks, Mike!

Excellent! They were there on time and spent a hour to hour in a half clearing the debris from the pipe. Repairman Brian was very friendly and very knowledgable and answered all my question! GOOD JOB!

Very professional, great sense of humor. Came to the door in a top hat. Sorry that I do not have another chimney for him to clean. Cleaned the chimney and removed the bird that was in the chimney. Put a special screen that keeps the animals and rain out of the chimney. He did a better that fantastic job.

Ask for Dan. He fixed my fireplace problem over-the-phone, FOR FREE. What he saved me paid for an entire year of Angie's List, and then some. So anytime we lit the gas logs, a terrible smell blared from the fireplace. It was a really bad smell. Dan diagnosed it and helped me get rid of the problem. I'm grateful.

Brian showed up on time, in fact about 10 minutes early. He completed the inspection, showed me a video of the findings and quoted the cost of the repairs. He said he could do the job on the spot, and a little more than an hour later, he was finished. He showed me a video of the repairs and installation, and agreed to send before and after photos for my records. He removed an old TV antenna while on the roof, at no extra charge. His work was done well. He was courteous and efficient. The cap carries a 6-year warranty and crown repair carries a 10-year warranty. Brian also advised when to call for a follow-on inspection, based on a predicted number of uses of the fireplace. I had had an inspection from another chimney sweep found on Angies List. They quoted the same work, plus a "wash" of the external brick chimney and a waterproof seal to the chimney. They quoted $968, and did not offer any warranty. Additionally, they could not perform the work right away, and stressed that every chimney should be inspected every year.

Scheduling was a little challenging as they seem to be busy but it was worth the wait. I love my new, awesome, fire and ice fireplace. It provides all of the heat while looking amazing and cool. It really updated an old, kinda neglected fireplace. Wish I had done it years ago! The technician was early and efficient. Communication went well and he tidied up after he was done. Even through the heavy, filthy, old gas logs away.

Everything went smoothly; and smoothly and good as far as I am concerned.

After Brian cleaned my chimneys as quoted, he gave me recommendations, which I accepted without hesitation since I hadn't used the chimneys in 11 years. Completed all work in 2 hours. Enjoyed the fireplace with my family over the Christmas holiday.

This is the second time we have used Lucky Sully! They are the only Chimney Sweeping company for us. Mike G. Sullivan is just wonderful and does a very thorough job. He arrives on time!! He cleans from the top of the chimney down and from the bottom up. He is the only person who has ever done the cleaning this way. He and his company are also very honest. I asked if having him come every two years was proper for the amount of wood we use and he said yes. He didn't feel we need the chimney swept every year based on our wood usage. We are very happy with this company and his service. I wanted to write a second review as it has been two years since my first review. I found them on Angie's List originally and I am so happy I did!! This is a quality company who gives AAAAAAA service!!! I cannot recommend them enough!! Thank you Mike, again. Thank you Lucky Sully, again!!!! Now I can't wait to light our first fire of the season and feel safe about it at the same time!!!

Brian was great and he arrived on time. He inspected chimney and cleaned it. He used a drop cloth to protect the floor. He gave me reasonable quotes for a chimney cap and explained that a it is not an urgent matter, so I felt no sales pressure. Brian was extremely polite and professional in every way.

Brian is great. The first visit he showed up in a top hat, which was funny. He worked really h****** our chimney. We recently bought this home and the previous owners had never cleaned the chimney, meaning the inside of the family room always smelled like a campfire. It is much better now. The second visit was a bit of an emergency. I was going out of town for three weeks, and the dryer stopped drying clothes completely. My sister was going to be housesitting, and I didn't want to leave her with a nonfunctional dryer. The appliance repair person said it was the ductwork. The dispatcher at Lucky Sully made a special effort to make sure we got scheduled immediately. Brian came out again at the end of a busy day for him and cleaned our duct, which also had probably never been cleaned, as evidenced by the copious hardened globs of lint that he wrestled out. He had an issue with the electricity (something else we need work on), and had to access the panel to make sure it wasn't a breaker. As part of the repair list for the sale of the home, the former owners had installed a new panel. That was fine, but whoever stuccoed around the edge of the panel managed to stucco it shut! Brian went out of his way to neatly chip along the base of the panel so we could get the door open. Sorting this whole problem out was't easy and added close to another hour to Brian's already very-long day. He was super friendly and was a good sport about the trouble and extra work. This is a company that gives me faith that service still matters to some people.

This was an excellent service. They were totally professional from scheduling through the repair. Timely appointment, clean neat work. I am DELIGHTED and would highly recommend.
