Lucky Sully Chimney and Duct Cleaning

Invited them out to check and clean the 3 fireplaces, it had been years and we had trouble with smoking from one. After inspection, Lucky Sully determined only 1 needed and cleaning and the smoking was due to fireplace design (2 sided). We decided to install gas logs and the fire on ice in the unusual and small fireplaces, leaving the large one for wood. In spite of our late request and ordering the fire on ice during the visit, they had all work done and installed prior to Christmas! And the routine maintenance prices were outstanding. Thank you.

I called on Monday the week of Christmas to several companies, and Lucky called me back very quickly. He gave a price quote by phone, and was available two days later. He let me know Mike would be doing the actual work, but that they worked very closely. He provided his contractors number (which I checked, and it was in good standing) as well as the phone number to his insurance agent if I felt the need ( I didn't). On the before the appointment, Lucky called to confirm Mike's arrival time of 3pm. On the day of the appointment, Mike called to ask if it was ok to show up 30 minutes early, which worked great. He came in, introduced himself and what he was going to do. He was very friendly and professional. He set out a large tarp near the fireplace and plugged in his vacuum to catch any dust. Quickly up the roof, he reported everything was fine except for a couple minor cracks in the mortar that he offered to caulk. After finishing his work, he explained what he had done, what he found, and answered all my questions. He was there about an hour, as estimated, and I saw him working the whole time. I would do business with this company again.

Great experience. Mike was prompt, thorough and very good at explaining the workings of our fireplaces-one with a wide lip at the front which has caused fires to smoke since the day we built it. Who knew!

Great experience. I called on a Sunday and someone picked up immediately. Within an hour I had an appointment for 7.30 am the next day. Serviceman arrived early and waited until 7.30. Very courteous, professional, throrough, and clean. He also climbed on the roof to ensure chimeny cap propery in place. I paid $119 for this service. As professional as it gets...

They were quick and efficient.They also cleaned the ducts for my dryer. I am using them currently to convert our fireplace from wood burning to gas.

I first called Sully after I had a home inspection on a house we wanted to buy. He provided useful information to help me decide if we needed a comprehensive chimney inspection. I decided we did not need a chimney inspection. I called later to ask Sully to do the work suggested by the home inspector. I called Sully at 4:00 PM on Monday afternoon. I told him exactly what I wanted. He gave me an estimate and arranged to have Brian do the work at 9:30 AM the next day. Brian called at 9:00 AM to verify that he had the correct address. He arrived on time and did the work in about 30 minutes. He was courteous, professional, and pleasant. I was completely satisfied. I will call Sully again if I need more chimney work or air duct cleaning.

The arrangements were made by my husband over the phone. He was comfortable with the way he did things and his knowledge about things. I wasn t around at the time, but everything got cleaned and taken care of and I was happy. They were responsive, punctual and the price was reasonable compared to the other quotes we got.

I found Lucky Sully on Angie's List. We were having heavy rains and the water was leaking into the garage and I was fearful of mold developing. Brian came out within the next day and made repairs to the chimney cap and sealed around the base of the chimney. The leaks have been repaired and I appreciate him being so thorough and keeping me informed about what he was doing through the repair process. I greatly appreciated Brian saving me money by suggesting the cap could be repaired instead of replaced.

He arrived even a little early! As far as I can tell he did a great job. Very friendly and professional. The price came out to a little less then quoted over the phone. He cleaned up after himself and didn't make a mess. He was there about the time promised or maybe even a little less time.

Lucky Sully gave me a very straight-forward quote, so I knew what to expect. I checked their contractor's license on the CSLB.ca.gov website and everything looked in order. The only thing they were waiting on was workers comp insurance since they recently added an employee (previously, the job was done by the two partners). The technician, Brian, arrived promptly at the designated appt time. He did a good job of cleaning and was very conscientious about being neat and cleaning up any residue. He was very professional, polite and seemed very knowledgeable about what he was doing. The estimate of 3-4 hours was for 7 vents and 1 dryer vent. I ended up having 3 more vents and added a chimney so the job took 6 hours total. I was very pleased with the job and definitely feel the difference in air quality when I turn on my furnace. The only thing I would have liked was for them to let me know the requirements for equipment setup and electrical before they arrived on site.

Sully said I did not need air ducts cleaned because my ducts are just three years old. He was very pleasant, prompt, clean, and seemed to do a thorough job as chimney sweep.

Sully was on time and did a nice clean job.
