Lucky Sully Chimney and Duct Cleaning

Brian arrived a few minutes early and was very friendly and professional. I explained to him my concerns about the draftiness as well as the seemingly long time it took for the gas to light. He got to work right away. He inspected and cleaned it. No structural issues, just needed a good cleaning. He then inspected the gas line going into the firebox and replaced the sand and lava rock and glowing embers as well as cleaned the gas logs themselves. He was very good about answering all my questions and explained several options to address the the draftiness without trying sell me on anything. Will definitely be using them again.

We are out of Town owners (SF Bay Area) of a single family home in Mission Viejo (Orange County, CA). Our Tenants complained that the fireplace was not venting properly when they burned a fire. We searched Angie's List for a local Chimney Sweep Service to inspect the Chimney and make necessary repairs. We contacted four local Chimney Sweep Services on Angie's List. Surprisingly, Lucky Sully's Chimney Sweep Service was the only one that contacted us back. They made prompt contact with our Tenant's. The day of the inspection, Dan sent us pictures of a damaged Chimney cap that had collapsed in due to corrosion and age. They removed the obstruction and ordered a new cap and spark arrestor which had to be custom made. One week later, the new cap and spark arrestor were in place. Dan sent us pictures of the completed job. The final price paid was under the original estimate given. Our Tenant's were very pleased to be able to use the fireplace again. Being out of town Owners, we have the confidence in Dan and Lucky Sullys Chimney Sweep Service to use them again. We would recomend this Company to others for an expeditious and professional experience.

They did a great job! The person who did the service was punctual, polite and hard working. He knew exactly what he was doing. I referred him to several friends after he finished the work for me.

He showed up on time, was very friendly and very knowledgable. He gave me an overall opinion on what needed to be done, estimated cost and was honest and upfront about me not needing the repair to use the fire place but should consider having it done somewhere down the road. I had every intention of setting up appointment but still haven't gotten to it. will inform once work has been done.

All events were as expected. However I had to change change my orignal service date and in the confusion the work was performed one day late.

We had a cold spell here in California and I noticed that I would freeze while sitting by the fireplace. I checked inside to see if the cap was closed and it was wide open so I attempted to close it and it wouldn't stay closed. I then looked on Angie's List for a reputable person who worked on chimney's and found Lucky Sully. I decided to call and have them come out to take a look. The gentleman arrived right on time and fixed the cap within 10 minutes. He then vacuumed and cleaned around the area. I am currently sitting in the same spot and there is "0" draft! Arrived on time and ready to work. Found chimneys didn't need cleaning (we were worried about birds in the chimneys). He cleaned the black carbon off of the gas logs. He also photographed our chimney top that showed cracks and fixed it with a guaranteed seal. He installed clamps to hold the dampers partly open per code. Did a neat and clean job. We were very pleased.

With four rabbits in the house, I need my dryer vents (their fur gets on the clothes, sheets, throw rugs) cleaned regularly. I called Lucky Sully to set up the appointments, and Michael Sully called me right back. We set up a convenient time and day; he arrived on time and proceeded to clean the dryer. I suggested we needed the heating/air vents cleaned. A date was set and the technician came and went about cleaning all the vents. The prices were fair, considering all the equipment needed and the time required. I will be calling again next year to have the vents cleaned. Mr. Sully and his technician were very trustworthy (remember, in cleaning the vents, they come through all rooms of your house), efficient, and perform quality services.

Fixed our fireplace quickly and was also helpful in teaching me how to fix minor things with it on my own in the future. Charged me very little considering how far away I live.

Brian showed up a few minutes early and after gaining approval to start did so. Job seemed professional. Asked Brian about some additional work and he said he didn't quote - call the office. I called. Perhaps a holiday but, looks like I need to call again.

Though there was a scheduling conflict (probably my fault), Lucky Sully's came right out when I called them and did a great job. He protected the area surrounding the fireplace very well. Overall, it was a great experience and I will be using them again.

Michael was prompt and friendly. He did a thorough job of cleaning our chimney and was thoughtful about keeping his workspace covered and the surround areas clean. As well Michael gave recommendations for keeping our chimney in the best working condition. We would use his services again.

My excellent experience using Lucky Sully started with the first call asking about pricing and setting a date. I understood exactly what was going to be done, the cost and approximate time it would take. Michael arrived promptly, he has a great attitude, is very pleasant yet professional. He immediately made me feel comfortable and I trusted that he would do a great job. It was a simple process to clean the chimney, Michael also fixed the flue that wouldn't open (at no charge) then climbed on the roof to inspect the chimney. Thankfully no issues except a missing chimney cap which we decided to replace since the rain entering the chimney was causing the flue to get stuck. The entire process was over within 45 minutes, everything clean and the price I was quoted plus the cost of the chimney cap which was very reasonable. After using Lucky Sully I can guarantee they are the only chimney sweep company I will be using from now on.

There have been many vendors whom I've called and left voicemail messages for who never call me back. Lucky Sully was one of the few vendors who was extremely responsive even after several bouts of "telephone-tag" over the holidays. Their extensive work hours and days of availability were both a huge selling point for me. I work full-time and live alone so most jobs around the house need to be done on the weekend. One of Lucky Sully's technicians came on a Saturday morning ahead of schedule (he called to make sure I would be home.) Although cleaning chimney's can be pretty dirty, the technician laid out a huge tarp in my living room ensuring that everything stayed neat and clean. Job done was fast, efficient, detailed and comprehensive .... and left plenty of time for me ask questions. Will definitely use them again when my fireplace needs servicing again in ~5 years. The price for a standard chimney cleaning is $129. But I paid an additional $18 for a damper clamp that was missing and had it installed for me. I knew about the missing damper clamp when I bought the house, but never got around to fixing that until now.

I believe the name of my tech was Brian. Very friendly and professional. He was running a bit late due to traffic and the long drive from his previous job, but he did call to give me a heads up so I didn't mind the delay. He swept the chimney from inside the home and also went outside on a ladder to clean the top exterior portion. He kept the work site clean, offered tips, and answered questions I had.

They came out, they were quick and what I really liked was their honesty.

Went very well. Arrived early. Discovered chimney cap was cracked and broken, but spark arrester was OK. Had materials on hand to repair immediately as opposed to returning at a later date, which I appreciated very much.

Brian called prior to the appointment time to say he was running a little late and showed up promptly according to his revised estimate. He cleaned the chimney, did some repair work and placed a new cap. He took care of the premises to ensure cleanliness and completed the work in an efficient manner. Their pricing was competitive and I would certainly call Lucky Sully again for future chimney needs.

The inspection and repairs were made and he left after payment was made.

I purchased a Big Deal for $129 for chimney sweep cleaning for a condo we rent out. I know it had not been cleaned in 10 years. I also asked Dan to please call me (I was in a different city at the time) and our tenant is not very good about telling us when things need repair. He said the chimney and fireplace were fine, that they just needed a cleaning. However, the dryer vent was leaking and was very dirty and a fire hazard. The dryer vent also needed replacing. Dan replaced the vent for $30 and cleaned the vent for $89, which costs were reimbursed by my tenant.

I purchased a "Big Deal" to get my chimney cleaned and inspected by Lucky Sully. The response and appointment scheduling was very quick. They were able to work around my needs and times and come out to clean my chimney within a week. The technician was prompt, courteous and neat! I couldn't even tell that they had been there. They did let me know that there were minor repairs that needed to be done and gave me a quote for the future repairs. I am very happy with the service and plan to call them to complete the repairs.

I bought a new house and needed to have the chimney swept. I found Lucky Sully's on Angies List and called - luckily they were able to fit me in right away, even though it's now the busy season for chimney sweeping. (Apparently no one thinks to do this in the summer.) They were on time for the appointment and got the work done quickly and efficiently. Not only that, they went the extra mile - they kindly vacuumed out the area under the furnace where the return is, which was absolutely filthy, at no charge, and showed me how to change my furnace filter. I thought the ducts needed cleaning, but they inspected them and told me that they weren't actually that dirty. It would have been easy for them to rack up another job, but they chose to do the right thing. I'll be calling again.

From beginning to end this was a smooth experience and a job well done. We thought we were going to have to spend more money to repair the flue, which had not moved for years, but Brian fixed it at no additional cost. There was no mess and everything turned out beautifully.

When I made the appointment with Scully, he was very nice and accommodating. I rated Brian's punctuality as 'B' because he was late. However, he called to let me know approximately when he would be at my home. He was pleasant and polite during the entire appointment. I would definitely use of this service again and recommend them to all.
