Lucky Sully Chimney and Duct Cleaning

I used a coupon that I got from Angie's List. I liked the guy that came out and he had to come out two or three times because the job kept getting to be more complex. It turned out to be a lot more than I originally called them out for and I don't think it was their fault though. I think they were able to do a repair that was unanticipated until they actually came out and did the cleaning. The price was a bit high but having never had a fireplace fixed before; I can't compare it to anything. I was very surprised and kind of unhappy with the price but that doesn't mean that was their fault. They were very good and responsive. I do think they are on Angie's List.

We had purchased an older home about a year ago, we knew the gas line was broken, and it needed to be cleaned. We just wanted it to be checked out thoroughly so that it would be safe. We had already decided we wanted ceramic logs instead of wood, and I explained that to Brian. He drew up an estimate and I was so surprised at the price, I thought it would have been much more. He said that he was available to do the whole job right then, so I just had him do it! He did a wonderful job, cleaned up all his mess, and the fire looked so beautiful that night. When my family got home, they were so surprised! I am so glad that I called this company and I will have them back for all the maintenance needed.

We had Lucky Sully come to our newly renovated house to sweep our chimneys (two side by side wood burning fireplaces). During the inspection, we were advised that we ought to repair the flashing around the chimney, as well as install a new chimney cap (the house did not have a cap when purchased). The cleaning was more needed than we realized, as a lot of construction dust had gotten caked onto the walls of our chimneys. We opted for a more expensive chimney cap (a single stainless steel cap that spans both chimneys), which was a little bit more expensive than we had hoped for ($425), but at least it has a lifetime warranty, and looks great.

The guy did a good job and covered stuff in my home so nothing got dirty. He was very nice and friendly.

My wife, toddler, and I recently purchased a home with a fireplace. The previous owner (since 2004) had not used the chimney, but the house was built in the 1950's, so I wanted a thorough inspection prior to starting a fire. Mike arrived exactly on time, explained what he would be doing, did it quietly (a nap time was just starting), and explained everything in great detail when finished. He was professional and nice. And here is the best thing, I had been quoted a price of $275. Mike said that since the chimney didn't need to be cleaned, he was only charging me $199! When I have burned my cord of wood, I'll be bringing Mike back again to see how the chimney did.

I had my chimney cleaned and inspected. I needed some work done added a flu, a cap, sealed cracks and a heat shield. I wanted to restore the gas feature. The repair man Brian didn't excellent job. He was quick, clean and knowledgeable.

I believe his name was Bryan or Brian. He did an excellent job. He was very professional and knew what he was doing. He wasted no time, but was very pleasant. My husband was impressed and he is not easy to impress.

The gentleman that came out was polite. There was no fuss and no mess. I was very pleased with the service and he did a great job.

Brian arrived as scheduled and was very friendly and professional. He made sure that the area around my family room was covered so my carpet and furniture did not get dirty. He explained the proper procedures in lighting the fire and cleaning out fireplace. He also packed up my old gas logs for me. Would highly recommend. Very professional service from the time I made the appointment to the finished work.

Great customer service from the start. I was given an appointment time and they delivered. Brian called 30 min before to let me know he was on his way. He was really polite and courteous and he answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns. When he was done with the inspection and cleaning he explained what he had noticed throughout the inspection. He was honest and thorough with the few issues he came across. He didn't try to hard sell anything, he merely brought it to my attention. I asked him if he'd be able to correct the issues that same day and he said of course! Start to finish from the time he got there until the last repair was done, Brian was there about 2 hours. I really appreciate his professionalism and prompt service. These guys are awesome!! I would definitely use them again!!

Lucky Sully arrived early, which was just fine by me! My dog greeted him (top hat and all) at this truck and Lucky gave her a warm hello and a pat on the head...always a good sign : ) Our home was built in 1924, so I wanted to be sure we didn't have any structural issues or other surprises that would keep us from using our fireplace on these chilly evenings. He inspected the chimney from within the house as well as from the roof and gave it a good sweep. He provided me much appreciated information about the structure or our fireplace and hearth (it had been altered a bit from the original), the type of grate that we would need as well as where to build the fire for optimal burning efficiency. For such potentially messy work, he was was careful to keep the carpet and wood floor clean by using a tarp and vacuum. All told, I was very happy with his service and his affable nature as well!

Brian arrived on time and was courteous and professional. Took proper care to protect my floors and furniture. Documented finding from inspection via video, which made it clear what additional work needed to be done. No hard sell on additional services, and all work was completed promptly, and for a fair price. Will definitely use again.

I called and left a message. They called back within an hour. I scheduled an appointment. He called before arriving to let me know he was on his way. On time.The chimney was swept He told me it was good to use as it was ,however he made a recommendation for the additional repairs. These were repairs I had been expecting and had planned for. He had all the items for the repair on his truck, and was able to complete the work in one visit. Fireplace is better then new. Couldn't be more satisfied!

I purchased this big deal in January 2012. The tech's name was Brian. He arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. He protected the area around the fireplace and kept it very clean. Brian provided tips on proper fireplace use and even used a mirror to show me that the flue my husband and I thought was closed was actually partially open. He closed the flue (confirmed with the mirror), and after ensuring there were no further questions, gathered his tools and made sure the area looked as it did when he arrived. He then checked and cleaned the clothes dryer vent, and gave some tips on keeping it clean and safe. All in all, a very good experience. If necessary, I would not hesitate to use this company again.

Inspected and cleaned chimney. Worked very cleanly. Replaced back and bottom, cracked fire panels. | |Employee was late over an hour than timefre given. Called to tell running late but still inconvenient waiting longer than expected. Left to return to bigger job, our appointment interfered with. Was prompt and on time for follow up repair appointment. Quality of repair was very good.

I made the appointment over the phone the week prior. On the specified day (Sept. 17) Dan from Lucky Sully arrived. He was prompted and very professional. He inspected the interior and the exterior of both fireplaces in the house. He also recognized that the crown of the chimney needed some repair. In addition, we needed to add a couple of spark arrestor caps at the top of both chimneys. The spark arrestor caps that we wanted were not available at the time, but Dan assured us that in a week, they would return to install the caps (we wouldn't have to be home for the work to be done). Once the work was done, Dan called me and told me as well. Overall I had a great experienced with this provider. I plan to call them again for regular service.

Prompt, professional and pleasant. Haven't used the fireplace since cleaning (hasn't been cold enough) but was told the chimney was very, very dirty. Actually hadn't been cleaned in approx. 9 years (embarrassed to admit that) and felt cleaning was way overdue. Inspection found no defects. Very pleased w/the service, price and will use their services again!

Finding a company like Lucky Sully is the reason I joined Angie's List in the first place. I called on October 23 and left a message on their answering machine. A couple of hours later I received a return call, and was able to get an appointment on the following Monday. That was great, as I requested that day! Mike Sullivan arrived 20 minutes early for our appointment. That was fantastic!! There he was smiling at me in his stove pipe hat! He has a big, infectious grin that immediately makes you feel not only happy he is there,but you are actually in the presence of someone who enjoys what they do for a living!! After a quick moment to snap a picture of Mike in his hat (just had to!) he went right to it. He laid out a tarp and put an industrial vacuum up inside of the fireplace. He went outside to start cleaning the top of the chimney from the roof. After that was completed, he changed into a white protective suit and mask and cleaned the bottom of the chimney from the inside. He was professional,quick,clean and neat! I was charged the $129.00 just as quoted on the telephone. We are so pleased! Plain and simple, I am done shopping for people to clean our chimney in the future. Lucky Sully is my "go to" place to deal with our fireplace and chimney from now on!! If you go on their website, you will see Mike in the same truck he arrives in, wearing the famous hat!! We have dealt with a ton of contractors, believe me. Getting someone to call you back, actually show up when the appointment is made, and do a great job at the stated price, is getting to be something quite unusual these days!! Thank you Lucky Sully!! He charged full price even though he didn't have to clean everything he thought he would. However, he did a great job, including clean up.

Brian was at the house when I got there and he was really efficient. He cleaned out the chimney, didn't find any damage, got on the roof and looked at things up there. He gave me options on what to do with a damaged damper. I elected not to repair it, but just remove it which he did. He was done in under and hour and he was very thorough.

It went very well. The young man that came was extremely courteous and he came on time. The price they quoted over the phone was what they charged.

He solved the problem. They were on time and did a good job.

I called on Tuesday and got an appointment at 7am the next day. Brian was on time and completed the work for the price that was quoted and within the time frame that I was told. He was knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. It is refreshing to have a company that actually does what, when and for how much that you were quoted. I will be scheduling this service yearly.
