I bought the Angie's Big deal for $849 fo a 40-50 gal. water heater. There were a few more parts that were needed, for another $150. Even so, the price was good. They came right away since I was concerned that the leaky water heater would turn into a flood.

It went well. The workmen arrived on time and performed work as described in Angie's List offer. I knew ahead of time it would cost more than the advertised price of $849 due to the City building permit of $69. There were some other costs not anticipated including the addition of a hot water ground and attaching pipes to the wall behind with some wood blocking. Also adding a copper down spout pipe per code. Total came to $279 additional cost above Angie's List price. They did a nice job and cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them to others and use them again.

First of all out of all the coupon providers I purchased this company called me the same day I purchased the coupons to schedule the visit and they were able to come on the weekend big plus for a person like me who works odd hours, He called to let me know he was on his way and was on time, First thing he did was check out the age and model, only one year old, did not need much service so he inspected the line and declared them in top shape and proceeded to flush the water heater which he stated was to be done primarily once a year, showed me how to do it and took me step by step through all the maitenence details that had to be done as well as what could go wrong if not done, So not only did I get the work done but got an education also, So now they are on my permanent list of providers and if I never need anything will "think Fast"

Unable to use their services after all.

I was unable to use the big deal due to the additional costs involved with the service being performed. The gentlman I spoke with was very responsive,professional and polite.

They were ok. I’m not sure if I would use them again, it would just depend on the price. They didn’t dry it out good enough, and I had to call them back again.

It turned out really good. I would recommend them to others. The technician that came was nice and very sociable. Their price was very reasonable.

Our initial call was with David. He was very professional and gave us several options to replace our broken water heater. He was able to make a next day appointment for us, which was great because it was a Sunday! Sunday, right on time, Joe arrived to replace our water heater. We was very nice and gave us all the options to replace our broken heater. There was no high pressure sales. After speaking with him a little more, we figured out that the larger water heater we wanted would not fit due to the height of the tank and the water intake and output pipes being in the way. He suggested going with a tank 2 gallons smaller and the tank fit perfectly. After the install, Joe took the old tank away and cleaned everything up. While he was installing we noticed a $75 off coupon here on Angie's List. We printed it out and he was happy to make the adjustments to the final bill. Overall I have to say it was a smooth transaction. This company is friendly, professional and easy to work with.

From the begining the people were courteous and responsive. They were honest (I'd had my trusted plumber look at the problem, and he said he couldn't get the part that was needed, but he told me what was wrong.) and didn't try to up-sell me or try to convince me to buy a new water heater, which wasn't needed. Work was done quickly and correctly, and he didn't leave a mess behind.

The representative, James Bond, was punctual, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Everything was completed as promised, when promised. I placed the call in the morning and by afternoon the unit was installed and working. I would definitely use them again (but hopefully won't have to for many years).

They were fast with the work and they came out and did the work the same day that we called. They did an excellent job. They took away our old hot water heater. They were clean and polite. I would recommend them.

Their service was good. They put the outlet for the overflow running into the garage and the inspector did not approve that. They came back to fix the work and the inspector approved it after that. They are very fast and efficient and people.

The service turned out well. They did a very nice job. The guy that did the install was terrific. The toilet was a little higher than the older one and he had to go purchase a new hose. He did a very nice job.

The gentlemen showed up on time and evaluated my water heater. They, quickly, determined that I simply needed a new, braided hose. They showed me what to buy, from H.D. I purchased the hose for $16. and replaced it myself

My water heater had a leak and ran out of hot water during the weekend. I couldn't find any company that is able to take my job during the weekend, so I went to Home Depot. The service rep at Home Depot connected me with FAST and they ARE indeed fast and was able to install a new water heater the next day. Before installation, they carefully went through all the requirements and regulations and discussed with me about the possible overhead on top of the quotation that they gave me while placing order at Home Depot. The price is reasonable and they are very professional. The job was done within couple of hours and the my disaster was reversed ever since. Thanks to FAST and I will certainly consider to have them taking care my plumbing problems in the future.

They promise same day installation however, when it came down to scheduling the install, they told me that they were all booked for (4/6-7)Friday and Saturday. They could come out on Sunday but I would have to pay extra since it was Easter Sunday. I wasn't in a hurry so I scheduled an install for the following Saturday (4/14). Installation went fine, technician was on time and friendly. A week later (4/22 night ), I was greeted with a cold shower. I went to my water heater and noticed that the pilot light was out. I followed the manufacture's direction to turn the pilot light on and no luck. I called Fast Water Heater (4/23 morning) and they told me that all of their technicians were busy and booked for the day and the earliest appointment available was Tuesday (4/24). They suggested that I call the Gas company to see if they can turn it on for me. I called the gas company and they came out during the day. The technician said it wasn't user error; told me that GEs are notorious for having problems with their pilot lights and and that they a lot of calls. They haven't been recalled YET. He told me to call a plumber to get some parts replaced. I call Fast Water Heater again to confirm my appointment for 4/24 and the operator tells me that the earliest appointment is between 3-5PM. I asked if I can get somebody to come out earlier because i won't be able to bathe and he said he will call if and reschedule with me if there are any cancellations. To summarize, my water heater is about 1 week old, already broken and the technician won't come out until a day later. How is that "Fast?" Not to mention that I had to stay home from work and ask friends for a hot shower...

After inquiring with 5 or 6 sources (mostly from Angie's list, HD and Lowes), I decided to go with Fast Water heater. Another factor influenced my decision was that Fast Water heaters was installing self cleaning GE heater which does not require yearly cleaning activity at a reasonable cost Their technician came on time. I told him that I don't want any water or scratches on my wooden floor. He placed some cloth sheets and card board boxes on the floor before starting the work. He explained me what is missing to bring the new installation up to city code. He took the check & verified my id before starting the work. He emptied the old heater first, removed it and installed the new heater. The entire work took about 2 hrs. He explained me how to light the pilot, how to adjust the temp etc. he patiently answered several questions I asked him during the 2 hr of installation. For the last 4 weeks the heater is working fine and is very quite. The work was handled quite professionally.

This is a follow-up to my initial report on this company. I got a call from Mike apologizing profusely; he assured me that this is not the way the company routinely does business. He offered to do the work at a substantial discount from the initial estimate. However I'd already had the work done and he offered a number of incentives to make up for my experience. Based on this, I have upgraded my initial rating and would give this company a second try.

Went well, company offered to come out the same day and were as good as their word. They offered initially to take care of all permits but when it became apparent that the water heater couldn't be brought up to code without moving it (not 5' from the property line) they offered a waiver. A little disappointing but understandable, as there is no place to move the water heater without major expense. Were very clear about explaining everything, were neat and tidy in the work.
