Guzman Contractors is very easy to work with, listens to what you want, they work through the project without drawing out the timing of the work, when they leave the leave the area clean and if anything needs changing they are responsive to these requests

I’ve used his services multiple times and find his work work to be excellent. His team is wonderful and I know them so well I know which workers to request. I have found him to be very available and he responds to my emails or phone calls (mainly emails) very quickly. He will be starting my kitchen remodel on Monday.

Carlos and his crew were always on time for work to be performed and did a very professional job. Was always kept informed at each phase of project. I am very pleased with the finished product. I plan to hire again for other projects at my home.

Even though Sun City was listed on his site as an area covered, when they finally called after I called and left two messages they informed me I was out of there area...There office is listed in Corona which is only about 30 miles from Sun City ??? Then it took about two weeks to get a refund on deposit which meant we received a bill from the credit card company and payed it before we received the refund on deposit...

All went pretty well, guys always showed up and sometimes worked late hours (until 7:00 p.m. at the latest). They cleaned up everyday what they could, were courteous. They kept pretty much to schedule and if they or we ran into a problem or concern, they always discussed with us and we came up with a solution. They never complained to me even though I know it was so hot in our house because we don't have central A/C. Another note: We had an old 35 year (approx) wood paneled covered built-in fridge that matched the cabinets. Carlos came up with the idea to remove the freezer wood panel of the old fridge to use as a faux cabinet above the new fridge area, genius! Matches perfectly and covers up the old area where the fridge grill and ceiling light panels came out of. He also used a panel of the wood to cover up a damaged area of our built-in kitchen desk. It was all damaged and Carlos was going to cover with another piece of wood but then decided to use the left over wood from the panels of the fridge because they match all the cabinets and desk!

We purchased a big deal for the service, and it was excellent. They did an outstanding job. They came out first, did an estimate on what could be done, and everything that we needed done, could be done in the time frame. The man came out and really worked hard, and they were just really good. They did a nice job. We are going to have some other work, and we are going to call them to come out and do it for us. I would highly recommend them.

They came out and gave me my initial estimate. He said he'd send an email with the cost he quoted me and the store he gets his materials, but he hasn't sent that email yet. He told me it would be about a month before he would start the work.

Carlos came to my house, said he would be able to do my renovation job in September, and that he would be contacting me with an estimate in a couple of days. When I didn't hear from him, I emailed him to check in---no response. Two days later I called his phone and left a voicemail asking him to give me a call back--no response. Two days later I called his phone again, it went straight to voicemail--no response. Two days after that, I called the 1-866# on his card and the phone was answered by a girl who took my message and told me Carlos would return my call--still didn't hear from him days later. I never heard from him again, despite him telling me that he would contact me in a couple of days after coming to my home. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional, and he wasted my time. I'm a project manager for commercial construction, so I work with contractors all day long--this type of flakey behavior is bad news and proves that at the end of the day he can't be trusted and that he's only looking out for himself, not the customer. Congratulations to him for knowing how to utilize Angie's List to get him jobs with his advertised deals, but he's obviously not prepared to do the work it takes to follow through on all of these jobs, and you're going to be the one who suffers. I recommend you go find another contractor you're able to get a hold of, who keeps their word, and who cares about your project.

They were professional, on-time and very cooperative and clean. They were very good.

1. Carlos did a wonderful job on our driveway. He completely took out the old cement, laid a new foundation, and poured a new driveway. We have a very long driveway, from the street to a detached garage. His team was very careful to ensure the slope of the new driveway would direct water away from the garage door, when it rained. We were very impressed with the quality of the work and attention to detail. 2. Carlos's team also completed several small construction projects around the house including, installing pot lights in the hallway, replacing several electrical plugs throughout the house, installing a new electrical outlet in our master bath, reworking a gas line under our stove top, replacing outside lights on our back deck, and replacing an electrical light switch in the garage area,. All work was completed on time and everything is working beautifully. Its so nice to get all these projects done! 3. We liked the work Carlos and his team did so much, that we had them re-do our shower in the guest bathroom. We were having trouble with tile cracking in the base of the shower, which caused the seamless glass surround to pull apart. Based upon Carlos's recommendation, we had the entire shower redone. His team tore out the existing glass shower walls, took down the surrounding slate tiles and completely removed all debris. They rebuilt the shower, re-did the walls, and re-tiled. An additional contractor came in to replace the glass surround. Work was done on time and as expected. We loved the fact that every effort was made to ensure that the new shower/tile work matched the existing floor and bathroom decor. 4. We highly recommend Carlos. His pricing is very fair, he does very thorough work, and the end product is beautiful. His team was a pleasure to work with. We especially liked the way everyone cleaned up after themselves so there was no construction mess.

I called Guzman Contractors, it took a couple of calls but we arranged for an appt date.. Two gentlemen came out, and between the two of them they knocked out a great tile job.. one got started removing the cracked and broken tiles in the kitchen while the other started the task of attaching metal T brackets on the patio beams. They worked quickly and cleaned up as much as they reasonably could (there was quite a bit of powder and dust afterwards, its expected, fine powder was everywhere.) They also replaced a larger granite piece that was broken around my fireplace (I did already have the tile on hand for them to replace it with, along with all the tiles and grout for the kitchen). In the end, my kitchen counters look new.. the floor clear of those bothersome cracked tiles.. and my fireplace no longer has a broken tooth lol.. I'm very happy with their work and professionalism, I would definitely call them back for future work.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It was for 8 hours and he had an additional guy and we needed a little more time so it added on an additional cost. It was good and they did a good job. They did what they said they were doing to do. It took a little more time and the additional cost was a little more than we anticipated but the work itself was good.

The install went pretty. I have to make several trips to Home Depot to purchase and return various items. My wife and are happy with the appearance of the work that Guzman contractors performed.

Very professional. Project was done on time and on budget. We had just gone through a pretty bad experience with Preferred Builders remodeling of our kitchen and it was a pleasure dealing with Carlos. Like any remodeling project you need to be involved closely with the progress of the job pointing out immediately things that you do not like. Unlike Preferred Builders, I did not have to stay on top of the changes and repeatedly address the same issues over and over my changes. Carlos took note and immediately addressed any concerns that my wife or I had. We are perfectionist when it comes to quality of workmanship and we did see some things that were not very good from Carlos workers but he immediately jumped in and fixed it to perfection. Two biggest issues we had. 1) The installation of the tile in our bathroom. Be aware that the norm is to start from the center of the shower and tile towards the outside leaving partial tiles at both ends of the shower. In our case it worked well but in some cases you could end up with very small pieces of tile on both ends and you may prefer to start from one end instead of from the center. 2) One of the shower water lines developed a leak and we suddenly saw a sagging ceiling in our living room. This happened on Sunday night and on Monday morning Carlos was there with his crew and replaced nearly half of our living room ceiling and repainted the entire living room leaving it the way it was before. I know it should not have happened but Carlos took ownership of the problem and dropped everything he was doing to fix our issue. I was so happy with Carlos work that I hired him to turn a bathtub into a shower at my parents home. We did not like at all the way that the tile was laid out around the soap insert into the wall but once again Carlos accepted our criticism of how the tiles were laid out, explained the rationale used by the installer and proceeded to fix it the way we wanted. In my parents shower because it was a white (marble like) tile he used what is called "invisible grout" and the bathroom looks beautiful with barely discernable grout lines. Yes, some problems, but you need to expect that in any remodeling work. What I find unacceptable is delays in getting the issue fixed, pointing the finger back at the customer and not having a good project manager on site. Those are the reasons why I would not hire back Preferred Builders and that is the reason why I would recommend Carlos and his team to anyone considering a remodeling job. I plan to hire Carlos in a few months to remodel the kitchen at my parents.

Carlos estimated about four weeks from start to finish,he Finished in three. Carlos's crew showed up on time and were very professional and courteous ,overall I was very satisfied and plan to use them when I remodel my bathrooms.

My wife delt with the contractor. Mr. Guzman came out and talked with Valerie about what was to be done. Then there were a couple of dates and times that the work was to be done that ended up as no-show for the contractor. Valerie had to call Mr. Guzman to find out what was happening. Again, this happened at least two times. Finally one of the employee's showed up "early" and we had to authorize the "go ahead" over the phone. My son was home at the time. We were at a doctor's appt. The work was completed and he did a good job of installing the toilet and cleaning up. We felt that because "our job" was small, we were put on a low priority list. Mr. Guzman did say he was busy when Valerie called on the first no-show. Mr. Guzman did compensate us by charging only the price of the toilet. We wish that there had been better communication.

They showed up on time and got to work right away. The work was completed exactly as we wanted. We will definitely use them again in the future.

Kitchen job started on time but ran a little longer than expected, which you can't always tell but the work was done well and turned out beautiful. Backyard was done in less than a week and was more than I expected, it came out great!

I contacted them to install a trash compactor, but they said they didn't do that. They did say they would bring it inside and plug it in, but I could do that myself. I wanted them to cut a hole in the wall to install an outlet in the wall to plug the compactor in. There was already a space available, it would have needed a very small amount of work to make sure the compactor fit, but they said they don't install outlet and couldn't do the job, so instead, I got a refund from Angie's List.

Mr. Guzman stated the conditions of the Big Deal. Made his measurements and agreed to install on the date of the cabinets installation. The cabinets that were installed had one unit that was different in size than what was initially measured. That meant that additional counter space was needed and it exceeded the allowable surface area of the Big Deal. Mr. Guzman agreed to an equitable solutions that allowed completion that same day.
