I had an excellent experience with with Pro Tech Appliance. My refrigerator was down on Sunday late afternoon. I contacted them that night via Angie's List with a request for a 4pm service on Monday. They text'd the next morning and were able to come at 4pm. The service tech arrived on time, was professional and was able to determine that no fix was needed other than cleaning the bottom of the unit. He also answered questions regarding my oven, microwave and dryer. Pricing was very reasonable. It was an A+ experience. I will use them for all my appliance repair needs.

Could have told me in one sentence that I was overloading the machine when I scheduled. I'm pretty sure that my description of the problem was enough for a probable diagnosis. Or when the tech got the order, he could have called with an "It's worth a try" suggestion. Would have saved me the $40 service call fee, and they would have ensured that I'll call them next time. The actual visit was fine, and unnecessary. I won't remove a star over this, but I could.

Xavier arrived on time, explained everything, removed the blockage from the refrigerator, did a nice job. Charged $75.

Jason was prompt, efficient and knowledgeable about my built-in refrigerator.

The older KitchenAid gas cooktop is missing the model & serial number requiring a trip to identify the unit to select the correct repair part. Pedro did that and working with Jason that chose a part that worked.

Pedro the technician who came was punctual, friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. He diagnosed the problem quickly and effected a rapid repair. I also asked him to check the drive belt while he was here as it had not been replaced in many years. The belt was indeed frayed and it was replaced. All costs were explained to me prior to any work being done and I was satisfied that it was a fair price. It's great to have our 25 year old clothes dryer working once again.

Is this company still in business? Called and left a message. I then went online and scheduled an appointment for my tenant. I gave detailed instructions with both mine and my tenet's contact numbers. They never showed up at the tenant for the scheduled appointment and they never contacted us about not being able to make the appointment. We both tried several times to contact them and left voice messages and text messages and no reply.

The work it self was fine. However I went to the other room to get the cheque but after they left the house, they didnt left any paper works. I called them and they said that they will e-mail it to me but I said that I don't do e-mails, he mention that he will sent it to my mail. I called him 3 times informing him that I will complaint him if ever that I wasn't been able to receive the receipt, until now I wasn't been able to received it.

I cannot say how pleased I am with the service of this company. We had an awesome technician (Xavier) who quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem. After the repair part was ordered and received, Xavier returned to install it. He also fixed the refrigerator door that wasn't closing properly, cleaned the refrigerator coils and leveled the refrigerator that had not been leveled properly at installation. Excellent service and excellent rates. I will definitely use this company again for any other large appliance repair.

On time, knowledgeable technician located and repaired range problem. Very satisfied, would call them again if needed.

ProTech Appliance is very professional, and he seems to know everything immediately about every appliance! I feel like I have a go to person for any appliance problem now.

Work was done neatly and at a fair cost.

The repairman was there for less than an hour and charged double labor for the time, at a flat rate for "each job." He replaced the ice maker, then didn't stay to see whether the dishwasher drained. It did not drain, and he had to return. The refrigerator problem also was not solved, and he had to return again, found the real problem was seal was faulty--charged again. Said the earlier visit was to replace an icemaker--but HE decided to replace the icemaker; so we paid both labor and parts for an icemaker we probably didn't need, because he didn't notice the seal was broken on the first visit. Hasty work and expensive.

Outstanding service, problem solved, even did a follow up at no charge.

We had a GE Monogram large refrigerator stop freezing. Jason came in and looked at it and said the coils were dirty and needed to be cleaned. He did this for $90 including a subsequent check-up call to ensure the freezer had started freezing. It had. As well, he performed a repair on a second refrigerator we have at a very economical price, putting it back into operation. A prior licensed large appliance repair company quoted almost $2,000 for the same repair as Jason did for $400 (including the second fridge). Great guy, great service you can rely on.

Jason, the owner/technician is incredibly knowledgeable and honest. It attempted to fix it and ended up ordering a part. When he came to install it the oven still wouldn't stay on. He ordered a new mother board in case the one we got was faulty. On his return visit he took all covered off and followed all the wiring. Come to find out it was loose wires. He spent a total of about 8 hours resolving the issue and only charged us for the first visit. Unbelievable ! He was courteous and takes his job and reputation very seriously!

Xavier from Pro Tech was able to diagnose the problem quickly, although it was not what I wanted to hear. He told me that the pump motor on the dishwasher was shot and in his opinion it would not be worth it to repair it ($300-400). He then took the time to give me recommendations for dishwashers based on his experience in the repair business. Although I did not actually use Pro Tech for a repair, I appreciated Xavier's expertise as far as the diagnosis of the problem and his professional recommendations.

They did come out. I did get them off of Angie’s List. I don’t know whether he was wrong or right, I didn’t get a second opinion. He told me that my refrigerator couldn’t be repaired that it was the compressor. Looking into it further, I did end up getting a new refrigerator based on that. I am looking into it further. I do feel other companies that would have come out would have done a more detailed investigation of the problem. He kind of only took off one panel and said it was the compressor, but like reading through what other people do, I think that they would have looked at it differently. I don't know whether he was right or wrong. So, I just went out and bought another refrigerator. On price, he was probably the cheapest. Which I’m not so sure it was a good thing, because I went with him and also, he could come out right away. Most of the people were more expensive than that. So, I guess on price, he was good. I also did not feel like he didn’t give me a good inspection, so I don’t know if it was good or bad. I’m not sure if I would use him again. It’s hard! I’m dealing with I took his advice and I’m not sure it was the correct advice. It was hard for me to say. If I knew for sure that he advice was correct, then I would say yes, so I don’t know how I would really answer if I would use them again. I would probably say I would look for someone else, I guess. I would tell others to get a second opinion. They didn’t really repair anything. They just looked, they just inspected it, they didn’t do any repair at all because they felt it couldn’t be repaired. That’s the dilemma. No work was done at all. Just came down and looked at it and gave me his opinion. I definitely would get a second opinion. I would guess no, I would probably go to another appliance repair.

I made a cold call to Jason. We set up an appointment. Jason arrived on time and evaluated the problem and told me what the situation was. ordered the parts. We setup another appointment for Jason to come back and repair the washer when e received the parts. Jason repaired the washer and with my approval serviced the dryer also. Jason was very qualified, very professional and thorough in the performance of his work. I will certainly use his service again. Jason rocks!

Quick efficient clean. When he tested the new pump it made noise so he scheduled a return visit on the spot to replace it again. All is good now.

Jason was prompt, technically knowledgeable, courteous and professional. He will service all of my major appliances as needed in the future.

Icemaker wasn't working, came and checked it out. Couldn't get it to work, so had to order a new one. Came back the following week with the new part and installed it. The two trips were included in the final price. The new icemaker was pretty expensive. Very prompt, and courteous serviceman
