Description of Work: Bill is excellent in anything he does. Last year he added a closet in a room that needed one and you could not tell it was an addition. This time he added two grab bars to a shower. When he does something we don't have to worry that it won't be right.

Description of Work: Bill Garrett gave us a reasonable bid for fixing a leaky rain gutter, repairing some dry rot on the eaves of our home, trim around the garage door, as well as some rotting boards around the base of a post on our front porch. He did a nice job, and we were comforted to know there was no termite damage; he was honest enough to tell us that he'd rather refer the painting of the house trim to someone else, but we felt the work he did was well done and a good value. Bill seems to prefer to use the phone to communicate and wanted to drop by a written bid rather than attach one in an email, but as he was responsive to calls, that was fine. I actually am planning on calling him about another job soon. I would feel comfortable referring him to any friend for household repair jobs.

Description of Work: Bill repaired the drywall in the garage where we had the plumbing installed for the washer and dryer. He also installed the venting for the dryer. |It went smoothly and Bill showed up when he said he would. The work was well done. He is very friendly and seemed to be honest. |The one disappointment was that he did not do any painting of the wall and he did not make that clear at the time he gave the estimate. I thought that the estimate included painting as he mentioned painting when he gave the estimate but it ended up he was talking about something other than painting the wall when he mentioned painting. |I felt that the estimate he gave was fair for including painting of the wall but a bit high for not painting.

Description of Work: I called Bill to give me a price for replacing a post and some beams. We had an extensive discussion about it and what it would take and alternatives. Ultimately when we decided on the best solution, Bill evaluated what he would would have to do and decided it was at least a 2 man job and he only works by himself. He gave me the name of a contractor he recommends.
