It turned out pretty good. There were a couple of areas that needed to be redone but they were redone properly without any problems. We liked working with him and he cleaned up completely. He is very organized and flexible because he was working around other people’s schedules. He is very professional.

I chose Richard because of his high ratings on Angie's List. He came out and gave a written estimate based on the work I wanted done, with the understanding that I was buying all of the components. We ran into some additional problems which necessitated repairs to our toilet (the ring was broken, which caused the toilet to wobble). Also, the tub and surround that were removed were sold as a unit. I initially only wanted to replace the surround, but after seeing how tacky the old tub looked when compared to the new surround I knew it wouldn't work. I called a few businesses that re-surfaced tubs and couldn't believe how much the wanted. I also heard that the fumes were terrible. Richard quoted a price to replace the tub, even though it meant removing the toilet and installing new drywall.... a lot of new drywall. There were a few leaks that we noticed coming from the sink and toilet, and Richard was back at our house first thing in the morning (it was due to old parts). Throughout the entire experience, he kept a smile on his face. When it was time to pay, there were several things that he didn't charge labor for, only parts. We have a rental in Sacramento and I plan on using him to get it rental ready. I will recommend him to my friends/family.

Richard responded to my email immediately, came out on my schedule and gave me a free bid, then came back to fix everything. He has a wide range of capabilities and is very reasonable in his charges. He brought a new garbage disposal and gave me his contractor's discount. In my previous experiences with home repair with others, I was sorely disappointed in their reliability and honesty. Just lately I had to pay a large visit fee just for a handyman to come and spend 5 minutes fixing a door. It was very refreshing to work with Richard who comes when he says he will and works around my busy schedule. I think anyone would be happy with his help.

It went incredible as always, I have used Richard three times and every time he is excellent! Richard is always polite, on time and pays great attention to detail. I always have jobs that take his entire day and he is always patient and takes the time to do things right. I own a Daycare so all the tasks vary and require that they be done right for licensing and coding and I always pass. Richard is amazing and I wont use anyone else! :)

Everything went very well: it was no problem at all to get in touch with Richard; he came by on a weekend and looked at the damage; shortly after he sent a bid for the job and scheduled it within a couple of days. On the day of the job itself, after having realized that there was more wood rotten than had been visible beforehand, he went out of his way and got more material which was time-consuming. But he still charged the original prize for his work. We will definitely hire him again!

I'm a property management. Our handyman was on vacation. Richard helped me to work on the project during his busy schedule. He did a lot of extra works to match the style without charging. The quality is much better than I image. At the same time, the communication with him was excellent. He was a pleasure to work with.

The work went well. I had pre-purchased the materials but it turned out we needed a different fitting. Richard made a quick run back to the store to get the right part and the work was completed. Everything worked out fine.

No matter what I did, I couldn't unplug it. His prices were excellent and he was able to come out right away (within a couple hours). He was very clean and made sure that he cleaned up his mess and laid down a tarp to prevent any messiness. He cashed our check right away instead of having to wait through the next billing period. He was a nice guy and our toilet worked better then before it was even clogged.

Richard and his daughter were great and did a solid 8 hours of work on the exterior of my house!

Very responsive to my e-mail. Came to my house and assessed the job I was requesting be done (involved electrical work)...very honest with me and advised what I wanted done was not in his area of expertise. Offered a solution, but ultimately, I decided to pursue a different alternative (not due to this providers assessment, just changed my mind entirely about what I wanted to do). I was impressed with promptness and honesty and would not hesitate to call again, for a job more suited to this providers expertise.

Richard responded the same day to my inquiry regarding repairing 2 fence gates at my house. He came to my house that nite and looked at the job and said he would provide me an estimate that nite for the job. He emailed me an estimate for labor to do the job and I agreed to pay for the materials at time of completion. We scheduled the job for the next day. He came today and completed the job perfectly! He is very competent, courteous and professional. I am completely satisfied with his work and would definitely use him again.

Besides being a generalist handyman, I found him extremely diligent and reliable. I live in San Jose, 70 miles from this house in Antioch. Richard simply assumed the much required ownership on this project. I would definitely recommend him for his trustworthiness.

My side gate to the backyard was almost falling down and I called Richard for the job. He was very professional and knew what needed to be done. He fixed it in a timely manner and now the gate works like new again.

Mr. Hofmeister was very polite on the phone, he came to my home on time, he asked me what I wanted, and explained what I could expect from him. I asked for a bid to paint my living, hallway, and two bedrooms. I also asked what it would cost to repair several ripped and missing screens. He asked me very specific questions regarding trim, color and then spoke to me about pricing. I was very impressed because he was informative and I felt very comfortable talking with him. I felt like he understood what I wanted. The price was very reasonable for what I was asking him to do. He informed me of the material price, and gave me a start date. He was at the job on time, he did the job in the time frame he said it would take and when he was done it looked beautiful. Everyday that he left the job, everything was cleaned up. When the job was over, I felt like I had a brand new home. I will definately be recommending this company to my friends and co-workers. I am a single mother, I work full time and I work hard for my money so when I spend money, I want to be able to appreciate where it went. I can tell you now. It was the best money I have spent in two years. Thank you Mr. Hofmeister. You will be hearing from me again.

Richard replaced the water heater for my rental house. He was very knowledgeable on what he was doing and communicated well with me on every step. He also recommended me to purchase the water heater from a wholesale which saved me some money. I will use him again.
