He was professional and responsive to my inquiry and coordinated his visit with my elderly father who was the only person available to meet him for the appointment to fix the lights. He completed the work in one visit and was upfront about the cost for labor and parts. Everything went smoothly and I would ask him to do work again.

Everything was completed in a timely professional manner.

Richard arrived 30 minutes early to start the job. We then discovered that the included frame and plastic panel used to cover the rest of the window was too short. So he decided the best course of action was to build a wooden frame to hold the a/c unit. For a reasonable amount over the quoted price he built a sturdy wooden frame using the metal support bracket included with the unit and topped it off with a translucent sheet of plastic. The quality of work was excellent. Richard kept in good contact and was always early to the job. He was Courteous, Friendly and always went out of his way to explain exactly what he was doing and why. I am very happy with the work and would not hesitate to recommend or use him again.

Richard show up on time and did an excellent job in troubleshooting a total of 4 3-way light switches, replaced a GFI plug in our kitchen that was not working and tightened a loose kitchen faucet. I will be using Richard again for other jobs soon. Would highly recommend!

He knew just what to do to fix my door. It was a good fix and I appreciated how quickly he sized up the situation and solved my problem.

Working with Richard was a great experience. He was responsive to all of my phone and email messages and arrived right on time. He had confidence in what he did and that made me feel comfortable. He was easy to trust, and I left him alone in the house while I ran out to get the supplies that he needed. I did not tell him that I wanted him to lower a light fixture in the dining room until after he arrived. As a result, I needed extra chain and wire that he did not carry with him. Trustworthiness is extremely important to me. He installed dimmer switches, assembled a particle board dresser, and lowered and rewired the lighting fixture. Things went very well, from beginning to end. Richard was very prompt in getting back to me once I had sent him a message on Angie's List. Actually, he got back to me on the very same day. This is always most welcome! Richard arrived when he said he would. Getting into my Condo Complex is a little bit of a pain-in-the-you know what, but Richard had a good sense of humor about it. A major plus. I was most grateful that he brought a new disposal with him. This saved a lot of time. While working to replace the disposal, he found out that the new one was a more current model and he need some pipe to get it installed. This did not faze him. He asked where the nearest Hardware Store was and went out and got what he needed. This was great, because I know nothing about pipes! Once he had all that was needed, he replaced the new disposal quickly and efficiently. When he was done, he showed me all the receipts, and let me know what my total bill was. I wrote him out a check (love that he accepts checks, as I do not like having cash around) and he was on his way. Things could not have gone any better! Thank you so much Richard! I will definitely use your services again!

My garbage disposal died and was really beginning to smell. Called Richard Friday morning to obtain a quote and compare his quote to other handymen I called (Note: His quote was in the same ballpark as other estimates I received). Richard did state that he was booked 3 weeks in advance, but he was willing to come over the next day (Saturday). Shortly after we made arrangements for him to arrive on Saturday, Richard called me back and said that his Friday morning appointment was cancelled and he could come right now. YES! I was working from home that day, so I didn't have time to run out buy a new disposal. Richard kindly purchased a new disposal for me and had everything everything installed and operating within 45 minutes. When it was time to settle accounts, he charged me actual cost for the disposal (no markup...he showed me the actual receipt) plus his time. Very grateful. Smell quickly dissipated and I now have an operational garbage disposal!

Richard, was right on time, kept me posted on what he was doing, and was good at keeping it cost effective and not over doing anything. He also gave me good advice on a wall repair I needed that was a cheaper way to go than I was planning on doing. I will absolutely be calling RIchard again when I have other "handyman" services needed. THanks RIchard.

The TV wall mount was installed and works great and appears very sturdy. It was installed quickly, on Thanksgiving weekend even. We were glad to find someone who would do a relatively small job and not charge us an arm and a leg. We will gladly use him again.

Richard installed an exterior door on the house furnace chase. He did timely and excellent work. He even recommended a great Moulding and Door Shop in Brentwood. I would use his services again.

Not hesitant to recommend Richard for any of the items that were accomplished. He is very professional and goes about his agreed-upon tasks without delay. Would definitely have him back any time items accumulate on my 'to do list.'

The project went smoothly. Since I live over an hour away from the project, I gave Richard the keys to the entry gates and shed and he handled the project on his own without a hitch. He did say that it rained the day he worked, so got he got quite wet. He left the keys in the shed, as agreed and emailed me the bill with his information. Richard was easy to communicate with and quite informative. He did a fine job; I would hire him again and probably will; I can certainly recommend him to other home and property owners.

Richard was on time, he was very professional. Had to return another day, because spackling had to dry. At that point, he touched up paint. Will definitely call him again.

Richard is a true professional-he was on time, came totally prepared, performed his work diligently. He made a small suggestion to improve the look of the closet and he was right. He even offered to take down the porch light he installed so he could show me how to install one. I am having him back to install new closet doors and to remove a wall a/c unit and patch up the hole.

I would highly recommend Richard to anyone. He is dependable, provides high end service and everything he did for us came out perfect. Richard is definitely on our speed dial!

Richard did an excellent job on my kitchen sink/faucet install and the installation of 3 bathroom faucets. There was a problem when the kitchen sink was installed that he quickly remedied. A mistake was made on the side the faucet was installed on. Because of where the knockouts in the new sink were, it wasn't possible to remedy without using an aftermarket plug. Richard instead purchased the exact replacement sink. I am 100% satisfied with the work performed. The new faucets work great and look fantastic! I requested a bid on some additional items once he was done with these as well.

It went really well. Richard was professional and a very likeable guy. What we had for a patio roof was this corrugated steel that had started leaking and it was looking like construction from a third world country. Being the genius that I am, I said, "I'm going to tear that stuff off of there and replace it with 5/8" exterior plywood and make it water-tight." Well, I got the old stuff off without a problem, then I realized that I'm and old guy (62) and didn't want to be lugging 50 pound sheets of plywood up a ladder. "Maybe I should call someone!" Generally, I do that "Get 3 bids" thing, but when I saw the grades that RC&G Handyman services got on Angie's List, I knew that Richard was the guy for the job. He was here when he said he would be and within a few dollars of his estimate. The work looks professional and it was apparent that Richard knew what he was doing. Of course, the rain will be the real test, but I have every confidence that we'll be leak free. We've got some other jobs that need doing, and hope to use RC&G Handyman services in the future.

Arrived on time, and fixed the blinds in 10 minutes.

I found Richard on Angie's List. Called him about 10:30 this morning, he came by a couple of hours later to look at a toilet that wouldn't stop running. He turned off the water for me and told me how to fix it & said that I could do it with a $5.00 part or he could do it & charge me $75.00. Money being what it is I opted to try & do it myself. I offered to pay him for his time but he would not take any money. Wow, when was the last time you experienced that! We will definitely use Richard in the future!

Richard mounted two televisions and hung various other odd sized and heavy items in our apartment. He was very responsive from the moment that I first called him. He was able to schedule our appointment very quickly and he was on time. Richard was very knowledgeable about how to mount our televisions. He went above and beyond and visited the hardware store for items that I didn't provide in order to do the job well. One of our TVs was even very heavy and he made sure that it was very well hung. He was very friendly, professional and efficient and I would highly recommend his services! We will be hiring Richard for all of our handyman needs in the future.

RCG was courteous, professional, and punctual throughout. He returned my initial call immediately and came the next day to provide a free estimate,, which he followed up overnight with an emailed written estimate. He came to do the work on the agreed day and time. He started work immediately and proceeded through the list in a very efficient manner. When we discussed replacement light fixtures, he was very cost conscious and saved me some money. The work that actually had to be done was less than we had anticipated, so he reduced his price and applied the Angie's List discount. His work was very skilled, professional -- and clean. I would use him again and happily recommend him to other users of Angie's List.
