Richard was responsive, knowledgeable, and focused on meeting our requests. He came to our house and gave an estimate that was reasonable. Turns out his work was high quality and affordable. We appreciate his professionalism and would definitely hire him again.

Richard painted my townhouse kitchen, which was such a small job, it was difficult to find someone willing to do It as well as remove wallpaper from 2 walls and painted an additional 3 walls for $711. He came at the designated time, and I could find no fault with his work finding it to be of excellent quality. I would definitely use him again.

Richard has been very professional, courteous, punctual, and knowledgable. Stabilizing our dishwasher was an added on job that we asked if he could help us with. He immediately set about fixing that after the fix on our sink leak. Richard is a true handyman. Judging from the two visits we've had I'd be willing to bet that there is nothing he couldn't fix. And on top of that, his billing is very commensurate with the jobs we've asked him to do. Replacing our fence had an unusual problem, in that some of the posts had been sunk into a small retaining wall which was part of a driveway. We did not want to damage the integrity of the retaining wall or the driveway. Rich (the R of RC&G), expleained how he was going to do the work without breaking up the retaining wall or the driveway. He was the only one of three bidders that assured me that he could do this, and with his explanation of how he was going to do the work, he satisfied me that he could handle the problem very nicely. They did the work quickly and accurately, and the fence came out looking terrific, and the retaining wall and driveway still look great with no patch jobs, or saw marks at all. These guys are really good. I could not have been more pleased and would ask them for a bid on any sort of work that might arise in the future, in or around my home.

Richard was punctual, for both the estimate and the days he worked in our home. He was very professional and gave us options for prices. He gave us advice as to what we could do to save money! He was very honest and did a fantastic job! We are very please with his work and HIGHLY recommend him.

Piece of cake! Easy to talk to and to have in the house. Richard is responsive, efficient and knowledgeable about all I needed him to do. i threw a couple extra things at him and instead of rushing the jobs he said he had to make another appt so he could be on time with his next job. I really appreciate that. He came back promptly the following week and finished the other tasks. I will definitely be calling on him in the future!

We were getting a new security screen installed in front of our front door. One week prior to the installation, the shoe and connected brass plate on our front door started to shred leaving some sharp pieces of brass sticking out toward the street. I knew this would obviously impact our ability to get the new screen door installed. I called Richard and explained the situation. While he was extremely busy that week he managed to squeeze us in within a couple of days. He arrived an hour early (very prompt) and started to work on things. Our situation should have been a simple fix but as Richard started working on things he discovered other issues with the door; for example, our house has shifted over the years and that has resulted in the door being out of alignment with the door frame. Additionally it was causing our deadbolt to be out of alignment with the connector on the opposite side. Richard actually removed the entire door from the hinges and sanded it down in some places so it would properly fit into the door frame. Richard went above and beyond what we expected from him - he even went to the hardware store for us because I was working that day. He fulfilled not only the scope of our original order but he did much more and I know he didn't charge us extra for it. Richard is prompt, professional, courteous and extremely capable. I would not only highly recommend him to anyone but I plan to use his services in the future. Great job Richard!!! Thanks for doing such a great job on our front door!!

Richard came by to give us an estimate. He had a full schedule and would not be able to come back and do the work for another 2 weeks. He offered to take it home and work on it in his spare time. He returned it a week later and my daughter loved it. Richard did a great job. We plan to utilize his services in the future and would recommend him to others.

Richard did all the work he said he would do and he did it when he said he would do it.

What started off, in what I believed to be an organized job, turned into my headache. BathFitters goofed, which threw the project timeline back a whole month, so what orignially was suppose to occur on May 29-30 with Richard coming in on May 30 became June 16 & 19 in which Richard came in on June 23-25. Needless to say my home from was a mess. Cabinet boxes and stuff from the bathroom all over the place. Anyway, RIchard was nothing but the perfectionist as he has dealt with other businesses messing up in which he would have to reschedule. With all the blunders, (Richard discovered a hole in my new cabinet door in which I had to go and reorder a door, then the setup of the cabinets were not seamless) Richard's patience shined through, as mine didn't withstand the test of endurance. I would recommend him again. He is on time, ready to work, polite and professional. He always cleans up afterwards. I will be calling upon Richard's services again to lay some linoleum flooring and baseboards in my other bathroom. Thanks Richard, your a gem!!!

Richard was very prompt responding to my inquiries and made a trip to my house in order to come up with a quote. He sent me a bid within a day. Upon my acceptance, he gave me several day/time options to choose from. Thus, i was able to pick a time that worked best for me. He completed all the work today. He's punctual, efficient, fast, and goes out of his way to satisfy the customer. He made an unplanned trip to Home Depot to get a light switch, which was something that just came up and not included in his bid. He also showed me how to use a tool so that i can do the work myself next time. I've used other companies that have equally high ratings, but they always fell a bit short of what they promised to be. Richard is an exception. He sets customer's expectations and comes through with what he says he will do. I'm sure i will be calling him again. Oh, and he gave me a 10% discount for being an Angie's customer. :)

Very responsive and punctual both to complete the job and to schedule it. Excellent phone and email communication. Someone you can rely upon to do what he said he would do when he said he would do it. Professional quality job. I realized the day before that I had a Dr appointment 10-11 AM the day of the job. I asked Richard to come either after or before 10-11 AM so that we could meet before I would have to leave home. He rescheduled to 9 AM, showed-up at 8:58 AM, and completed the job before I had to leave home. I had asked for an emailed invoice and got it a few hours later.

Richard was prompt and professional when he met with me to provide the estimate and when he performed the work. Richard walked me through the process of buying the new door and the contact person he recommended was friendly and easy to work with. He made sure all the details were taken care of with respect to the door buying process. When he provided me with the estimate, he had under estimated the amount of work involved (which was evident in the bid price); however, he performed a thorough job and honered the the original bid. Great working with him.

Richard could not have done a better job. He was punctual, arrived prepared, and absolutely met all expectations of quality. Thanks to him we now have a working gate and a fence not even a small puppy can penetrate. Furthermore, the price was most satisfactory, and we will gladly call on Richard in the future for any needs that may arise. We will also encourage our neighbors to do the same.

It went fine. He started with the dry wall repair as it takes a while for the joint compound to dry. He also replaced some drywall fasteners (screws, I think, which you can't see in the final product, but which keep things in place.) Then it had to be textured, which has to dry. Then it had to be painted. In between he did the other things and had a lunch break. He arrived around 9:00 AM and left around 3:00. Richard was critical of his matching of the drywall texture, but I know from experience that it is not realistically possible to perfectly match texture on a drywall repair. The alternative would have been to replace the whole ceiling, which i opted not to do- too much time, money and hassle. I am very satisfied with the work done- it looks very neat. I felt like he knew his business, and other handymen have declined to do the ceiling job. He cleaned up after the job and even cleaned out the bathroom fan, which was not part of the job.

It was a pleasant experience with the job done by Richard. He contacted me quickly after I sent him an service request email. He showed up on time and sent a written estimate which clearly listed materials, labor cost line by line next day. After getting my approval, he came to work on the gate and fence. The job was well done without any hidden charge or surprise. I am glad to find him at Angie's List. I definitely will hire him again for other home maintenance projects in the future.

Things went well and according to plan. The only bump in the road was that the handyman lost a tool during the work and it was thankfully and professionally NOT added to my bill. Otherwise the handyman showed up slightly early, got to work and did everything according to spec. We are very happy with the new fence!

As with his previous job of installing closets/doors, Richard was wonderful. He is always on time, does perfect work, and charges a very fair rate for work performed. I high recommend him.

Persistent rain delayed the start of the project but Richard kept me informed via email every step of the way. Once underway he was very efficient, & cheerful. The job took 3 days due to concrete setup and rain delays but my gates are built to last. It can get quite windy in my area and these gates needed to be well reinforced. I plan to use RC&G again in the near future.
