About an hour after the repair the problem occurred again. A different technician return and replaced the thermostat which corrected the problem. They wanted to charge for both repairs even though the first repair did not correct the problem.

.Atlas did a great job. They were very professional in every aspect, from the estimate and planning to the installation and follow-up. They took pains to keep the work areas clean. They were congenial and easy to work with. We are thrilled to have central heat throughout the house.

Excellent service. Atlas had to reschedule the first time because a storm caused massive power failures, so they called me and asked if they could reschedule, offering a 10% discount as an incentive. They came back on the date and did a thorough service, tuneup and specific adjustments. My HVAC filter is expensive and needed changing. I told the serviceman that I could get a replacement online much cheaper than Atlas, he made sure I knew the specs and how to replace the filter and did not push me to buy his more expensive filter.

They were good, but I was unaware up front that it was a two day job which means I had to take an extra day of work off. We ended up being out of heat for one day and there was a little confusion in the pricing, but the gentleman that came out was very kind and worked hard. We had some trouble getting an appointment set up, but once it was set, they came on time. The work done seems to be great!

They gave us the 10% discount on the service call fee. The price they gave us for the repairs was reasonable, though the furnace was 40 years old so we decided to replace not repair. They had an estimator come out right away. Their estimate was in keeping with the others we received.

One unit was difficult to access and had not worked properly in years, but it looked and operated like new when they were done. Very knowledgeable and professional.

I have found that Atlas HVAC in the East Bay is always good. However, in Marin County Atlas HVAC does not have as knowledgeable and experienced technicians.

Installed a new furnace and a/c unit. It was hot out and the install took to days so they made sure that the a/c system was up and working on the first day. Thanks to the installers for doing that. they left the work site clean every day. Very professional company. I would use them again.

Installation work caused some problems. These problems were corrected. As of 12/24/13: Atlas Heating read my review and called me in an attempt to rectify the situation. They did, and did a very good job. I willingly gave them an all "A" review. They were extremely helpful.

We are extremely happy with Atlas. We hired them largely because of great reviews on Angie's List. We wound up with a great system. The original installation was beautifully done, and they stuck with us until we were completely happy. As originally delivered, there were some problems with the way the wireless thermostats communicated with the central system computer, which caused excess airflow and temperature fluctuation. After carefully evaluating the situation, Atlas replaced the thermostat system and the zone control system (at no cost to us!); the result is the quiet efficient system we wanted. Dealing with problems is the real test of any company's commitment to fulfillment and customer service. Atlas really came through for us.

They used to come once a year but charge me to come out twice a year. I find that customer is not the same since management changed about two years ago

We're very good about reminding us of service schedule.. I don' know if Ivan is still there but he was terrific.

Installed a new furnace and duct system.

Atlas gave the best estimate, worked very efficiently and on time. They had to remove a number of very old (1930s to 1970s era) heaters. They also had to make a new heater system work in a 1920s house with limited room and options. Great job - it still works as well as it did almost 14 years ago.

The technician came out and found that we may have had a problem.T he company that installed the unit years back installed the air vents and ducts were not the proper size for the unit that was installed. Atlas refunded the special deal price and turned it into a bid to fix the issue. We have not acted on the job yet, but we do know it is an issue. I do find it very ethical that they turned it into the bid for future work and refunded the money back.

I love it! I interviewed about 4 different companies and Atlas was the most professional. They answered all of my questions and did not talk down to me. The work was done on time and my home was left spotless. They were very thorough with the inspection in the crawl space. We discussed where the vents would be placed. I feel like Atlas and I were working together to get the air flowing through my house. They did everything they promised they would do. I purchased the whole unit from them. Once they looked at all of the dimensions of the house, they recommended a system for me. I was completely pleased with their work. I appreciate that I was treated as a partner in the job that was done.

We have always been happy with their work. Scheduling is immediate and they are able to accommodate my needs. The technicians are clean and I have never had any issues with them.

They did a fine job with the installation. They removed and hauled away our old furnace. The technicians were clean and we had no problems with the service. Their pricing was competitive with the other company we looked into.

They're excellent! They're very efficient and the tech was good. The best part was when the inspector came and looked at the system - he was very impressed with the job. I recommend them highly. The price was reasonable for the value of product I received.

I am satisfied with them. I have nothing but good experience with them. I haven’t had any problems with my furnace and air conditioning unit. Whenever I call them, they come out. I have had only good relationship with them.

Did not use contractor/provider

The four-zone programmable thermostat that came with the house when I bought it developed a mind of its own: every 10 seconds it would switch from one program to another, and then back to the first one. Neither program did what I wanted. I managed to limp by for a while with manual overrides, but that wasn't a long-term solution. Atlas came out, looked at the thermostat, pronounced it unrepairable (not a surprise, it's pretty old), and told me that I needed (1) a new thermostat (2) three new sensors (3) a new control board (4) four new dampers for the four zones, for $4500. So I got a second bid from another contractor, who did it for half the price, without needing to replace the dampers. In a follow-up phone conversation with Bob, the owner of Atlas, he stated that approx. $2000 would be a fair price for four new dampers installed in a crawl space; doing it in a crawl space would require more labor. My sticking point was that no explanation was given for why this extra work needed to be done. I was impressed with Bob's concern about why my report of my experience with Atlas was different from nearly all of the other reports posted here.
