Drain Pipe Installation, Concrete Pouring and Repair, Foundation Repair,

About us

All Seasons has provided quality construction services since 1993. In the past several years the company’s focus has become foundations and drainage – areas that are particularly important when you consider the age of the homes in the area, the abundance of hills and California’s winter rains. Proper retaining walls, concrete application and drainage systems are critical to keeping your home protected from rainfall, ground water and runoff. Replacement of old, failing foundations is critical to keeping your home safe and still standing after the next big earthquake. All Seasons’ experienced foremen supervise every job and ensure that all work will stand the test of time and mother nature. We build beautiful decks, too! Additional DBA ASC Berkeley Inc.

After speaking with this customer about his patio leakage issue, I determined that, unfortunately, it was not a situation we were qualified to resolve. I'm sorry to disappoint anyone, but we try to save everyone's time by screening out jobs that are not a good match for our services.

Description of Work: Repaired foundation from water damage from a water main break added bolting for earthquake retrofit. The workers who showed up were courteous. I'm not thrilled with the outcomes of the concrete work - it was supposed to match the existing sidewalk, it's definitely a patch. My average grade is largely due to the owner's lack of involvement and responsiveness. This was a small job, he didn't come to the site to inspect the work or make himself available for questions. I also later learned he charged quite a premium for the small job. If you have a very big project, I suspect you'll get better, more fair pricing.

They dug the first day. Then came back the second day and laid the pipes. Then filled the holes and filled with new concrete. They checked it daily while it was drying and in the end cleaned up well and took all of their supplies.
Description of Work: All Seasons was very professional. They were able to fit us in in a timely manner, in fact the next week. They did a great job putting in a french drain, sump pump, and digging up our driveway. I would definitely use them again.

Mark called me to discuss a concrete quote. We discussed the project and he quoted $10,000. I stated it was over my budget and he sarcastically said "What, you want for $300?" I can do it without the sarcasm, thank you. I stated my budget was approximately $4000. We did not discuss material, etc. Quite frankly, his bid was extremely high compared to the 4 others I received. The next highest quote was for $6,000. In my opinion, he was not interested in the doing the job. Everyone else came out and walked me through their process, he didn't even offer. If you don't want the work, just say you are not interested. Being sarcastic is just unprofessional and unnecessary.

Wow. I had no idea the member was so vindictive. I was under the impression we were having a nice conversation and were kidding around with each other. I never visited her house and so I never gave her a proposal. I don't know if it was a $2,000 job or a $10,000 job. I never bid it. After our conversation, she decided not to make an appointment. I find it strange that someone would go to the trouble of posting a nasty comment about a company they chose not to hire. If you don't get a good impression of a business. DON'T HIRE THEM and leave it at that. Bad reviews should be limited to a customer's bad experiences with a contractor they had the misfortune of hiring. It's like giving a restaurant a bad review because you don't like the way their menu looks.

My introduction was watching them work at my next door neighbors. After the heavy rains, both of us suffered flooding. I had work done two years ago by a Berkeley company and it made the problem worse (that is another story) The team assigned to the project was excellent. Special kudos to the foreman, Ramon. Project was completed yesterday and I wanted to let others know how much difference the right people can make.

The project went very smoothly. Mark went out of his way to guide and advise me. Because of the resources he freely shared I was able to build a strong team for the project. He has been able to accommodate changes and it felt we were working as a team. Miguel, the project foreman, was great. He was available, and listen to my requests and was clear at asking questions that needed answers. The team worked cleanly and rapidly and was very friendly. For a week the team lost its foreman, at that time performance suffered, but quickly everything went back under control. Quality of the work was very good. We passed all inspection without any hiccup, and the inspector acknowledged the quality of the rebar work. All Seasons is on the pricey side of the concrete contractors, but they deliver quality work in a reliable fashion and goes out of their ways to help the project to be a success. I will recommend their services and hire them again.
Description of Work: We are adding a second story to our home in Alameda. The home is a track home style built with slab on grade. All Seasons did all foundation retrofitting and drainage for the project. The project consisted of more than 300' of foundation retrofitting, adding grade beams, placing mud sill and bolts and finally adding French drain on the perimeter. This is an owner builder project.

A good size team dug most of the trenchs in one day. It was disruptive, as expected, but only for one day. After that, a team of 2-4 people worked for about a week and a half on installing the system and finishing (concrete, etc.). Several little details needed to be worked out, as expected, and the team was communicative. Joel was proactive and organized. Made coordination on everything work and payed attention to details and asked for preferences on matters of choice.
Description of Work: French drain. Two trenches around both sides of the house with two separate outlets to the street. One trench was almost 6' deep. Rain gutter downspouts were tied into the system.

The crew worked very hard and valiantly and in almost constant rain. The project was completed on time and appears to be working. However, about a week after the crew left, I discovered a large gouge in the sidewalk curb where the truck delivering the drain rocks had been. Several months later, the concrete collar around the sump pit cracked, and the cover over the sump pump pit has warped. The company sent out their representative, who said that the collar was decorative only and didn't comment on the warp. He said that there would be a charge for correcting cracked collar and also offered other handyman services through his own weekend business, which is not affilitated with All Seasons Construction. I told him I would fix the collar myself although I really believe this is their responsibility, not mine. Something like this should last more than 5 months.

Mark came on time, did a detailed inspection, and offered help with planning the project. His bid was good, but we ended up going with a contractor who was doing the rest of our remodel because he already had the OSHA certification and would coordinate the drainage project more easily with other aspects of the job. I really want to recommend Mark, and if things had worked out otherwise, we certainly would have used him. Do: Ask him for consultation on the project early in the planning. He's very thorough and smart. Do: make sure he has the OSHA certification for doing very deep drains if that is your need. All in all, a very professional and honest contractor.
Description of Work: We had Mark give us a bid for a big drainage project, a cement ramp, and a cement swale with surface drains. He helped us look at some risk factors and look critically at the foundation to make sure the project would be safe. He spent a lot of time studying the project and making sure the results would be all we needed. For example, his bid was very reasonable given the job, and he was going to get some special OSHA certification for deep trenches in time for our job.

He was very, very good. He was very professional, willing to work with us and he had some good ideas on how he would do it. When we were getting ready we probably would have gone with All Seasons, he was the most professional and we felt really confident in him. It turned out, when we did the survey, that the wall was on our neighbors property. It was a little pricey, it was almost to the point we couldn't afford it, but there was a lot of work involved.

He is on the Diamond Certified List in California. This is a company that say they investigate the providers and they cannot get on their list unless the provider says they are licensed and have done background work on their employees and a consumer cannot file a complaint with them since they will not listen. He has been reported to the California State Licensing Board and the California Bond Company.
Description of Work: I entered in a contract with him in June of 2007 and found that he is not the owner of the company. He did my foundation and the framing of the downstairs of my house. He hired illegal Spanish people to work on my home and this puts you at risk as a homeowner since you do not know where they are coming from or their criminal record.

We work very hard to please every one of our customers. Unfortunately, some people do not want to be pleased. The member is the type of person who goes into McDonalds and then asks to speak to the manager about the french fries. We bent over backwards to please this woman and it could not be done. We fully cooperated with the CSLB Arbitration process and paid her the minimal amount she was awarded. She was not pleased with the arbitrator's ruling and joined Angie's List for the sole purpose of defaming my company. Her complaints have no merit. We are fully licensed and in good standing with the CSLB. All our employees are on payroll and are covered by Workman's Comp. All you have to do is call this woman, talk to her on the phone for five minutes and you'll understand what I mean. She's evil or crazy or both.

We were seeing moisture and water seepage under our home, especially during the rainy Winter months. Mark from All Seasons Construction came out to our home to look at the moisture and drainage issues we were having under our house (we're built into a hillside) and identified the problems. He offered a solution that he was confident would fix the problem. French drains and a sump pump were installed. A contract arrived by email within a day along with a detailed statement of work. Upon signing the contract we returned it and work started the following weekend. The workers were prompt, courteous, and respectful of our property. The work that was performed was difficult - they had to dig in very tight space under our house. The crew cleaned up any mess daily and kept us up to date on what was happening. We would recommend this company to friends and family. After having several contractors come out to investigate the drainage issue, we were confident that Mark (who also works with a soils engineer if need be) knew what he was dealing with and wasn't going to dig and destroy unnecessarily like we felt other companies wanted to do.

I could tell that Mark Corrallo knew what he was talking about the first time he came by to give me an estimate. I was upset at having to do this job again, but was relieved by his knowledge, and professional demeanor. He could tell by the slope of the previous job, that it did not go deep enough. His crew finished the job in one week, and never even came in the house, except to measure how low the floor was, in order to know how deep to dig. It was pretty painless, and the foreman and crew were very polite, and helpful, especially when the previous contractor came by and argued with them. I was always able to get a hold of Mark, to ask questions, and he came back at end of job to address any concerns. The sprinkler system needed some tweaking afterward, and they came back and addressed that promptly. All in all, it was a good experience, They were professional, and most importantly, knew about installing drainage correctly.
Description of Work: They installed a French drain system along the side of my house, continuing down the front slope, and going under the sidewalk, to drain out onto the street. They were correcting a job that had been done incorrectly. They trench was dug to a depth of 6" below the exterior floor level, (unlike the previous contractor, who had not gone deep enough.) They attached Paraseal to the exterior of the foundation wall, lined the trench with filtration cloth, lay 4" perforated SDR-35 PVC pipe, and added some drain rock on top of the pipe and rock. They filled the trench 2/3rds full with drain rock, and installed 3 clean- out risers with caps at high point, and 1 other place. They tied in downspouts with the French drain at forward part of the system. The discharge pipe was buried in a shallow trench sloping under plants and sidewalk into the gutter. They used cast iron pipe under the sidewalk and through the curb.
