AMAZING! From the start Mark's estimate and professionalism were superior to the other companies we interviewed. Once we chose McCleary Painting, Mark and his crew were able to begin our job in less than a week. They were prompt, polite, careful, well priced, and professional. To be honest, both my husband and I can not say enough good things about Mark and his crew. They transformed our home and we have gotten so many compliments from our neighbors. Mark was so easy to work with and was always present at the job site (although his employees were so professional this was not necessary). I wish every estimate and job went as smoothly and efficiently as it did with McCleary Painting. I would not hesitate to hire McCleary painting and I would strongly recommend them.

It was an excellent experience. Mark came to the house on time for the estimate walked around the house and pointed out where extra work was going to be needed. He provided an estimate when he said he would, showed up at the appointed time with his crew; cleaned, sanded, and prepped my house in one day and finished the painting in the next 2. He finished it on time an came back to make sure all was okay when he was completed.

It took them longer to complete the work than I anticipated. It took more coats of paint which I was not aware of. They stayed within their original estimate even though they had to put several more coats of paint. The end result was very good and I was pleased with their service.

We just had McCleary Painting paint multiple rooms in our old house (built 1915) that we just bought. He showed up on time, as did his employees, gave a good estimate, stuck to it, and got the job done on time. The paint job is beautiful, really. No way would I have done as nice a job (that's a prime irritant for me, when you hire a pro to do something, and it turns out no better or worse than if you had DIY). They filled the holes, cleared the walls of hardware, and matched the colors we requested. They didn't leave a mess. The estimate process was good, and he communicated responsively by email and broke it down by room.

I called McCleary Painting for an estimate of both exterior and interior work (I will be doing the interior after some bathroom remodeling is completed). Mark McCleary was over to do a walkthrough and responded that evening with a bid of both projects. I had another estimate that was very comparable in cost, and had comparable ratings on Angie's List, but went with McCleary Painting simply because I had a good sense after meeting Mark. And my sense proved correct. Mark got the project going within a coupe of days. Mark's team, Doug and Juan were great. A lot of attention to detail in the prep work - caulking, sanding, priming - worked clean, and an exceptional paint job resulted. We are very happy with the work and working with Mark and his team. I'll be calling him back to do the interior as soon as we're done fixing up one of the bathrooms.

Mark and his team were great. The arrived on time every morning, were professional and when they left each night, they left the house with all their tools and paint cleaned up. The paint job was fantastic. It really turned out great. The colors are rich and intense. His team did a fabulous job of following my instructions on where the different color accents went. The transitions to the accent colors are very profession, very well done. Mark and team started on time every day at 7:00 am. They were never late. The job was estimated to be done in a 2 week time period and they actually finished up a day early. Mark came by or phoned everyday to make sure the painting was going as I expected and to make sure I was happy. I can't say enough nice things about the experience. I have already recommended him to my neighbors. I've already gotten another estimate from Mark on doing the outside of my house.

Very well, finished in two days for a large bedroom/bathroom. Was flexible on start times, took apart and put back together the room (moving furniture, curtains, etc) and left no trace that he was in our house.

EXCELLENT!! Initially I called Mark to paint my home office before built-in furniture was installed. He was prompt, looked at my paint samples, made some thoughtful suggestions regarding color choices (it turned out he was correct:-). He even went to the paint store and bought the paint. (He uses Benjamin Moore or Kelly Moore, so I knew it is good quality paint.) Although he had to work around some pieces of uninstalled cabinets in the room, this didn't seem to bother him. He was done by 1:00 and did a superb job!! It looked terrific and there was no horrible paint smell. I next called him two weeks later in a panic when I found out that all the interior and exterior trim and moulding around my windows was being replaced during new window installation. Since some of the windows were 20-30 feet high, I wanted Mark to paint the trim before it was installed. Even though the installers were at my house, Mark sent his associate, Robert, out within an hour to paint the trim. Robert even came back at 7:00am the next morning (well ahead of the window installers) so he could paint the new outside trim and allow it to dry before it would be nailed into place by the window installers later that day. I so appreciated working with both of these gentlemen. They were thoughtful, courteous and extremely responsive, not to mention that their work was impeccable. This kind of workmanship and service is very rare indeed. I will hire them again in a heartbeat!

We have been very happy with him and he has adjusted well to our difficult schedule. His work is of high quality and is a careful worker. His prices are very reasonable. We have dogs that we weren't able to house out of the area, and he worked around them very well. I just feel bad that we have discouraged his schedule as much as we have.

It was excellent. They did high quality work, worked very clean and finished ahead of schedule. They were also friendly, and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needed painting.

It went great. Mark's employee Doug showed up at 7 am on the dot. Doug worked hard the entire time, didn't take any breaks, cleaned up after himself and did an all around awesome job. After Doug started I actually asked about also having a bathroom painted and Mark said that Doug would be able to do that today as well. Mark assisted me in picking out a color from the three I had narrowed my options down to and it looks wonderful. In just under 8 hours both rooms were prepped, painted and cleaned, you can't ask for more. Plus I felt the prices were very reasonable as well.

We couldn't match the floor color with standard stains. We got a bid from another contractor who without even coming over, quoted a price three times what we paid McCleary. We got Mark from Angie's list. He returned our call quickly and came over within two days to give us a quote. He bought a piece of maple instead of taking a part of our new unfinished door, in order to try out stains. He took a piece of our flooring to make sure it was a good match. He came twice to put on a secondary coat. We are so happy with the way it turned out.

I called him. We made an appt. for him to come out and give me an estimate. He was on time (early) and estimated $120 to paint the area. I already had the paint. He came back and painted the entry area. It only took about an hour. He did a very nice job, cleaned up afterward, and was very pleasant. I will definitely have him paint for me in the future. By the way, he also does exterior painting.

Mark was very responsive, came within a couple of days to give me an estimate. Sent me an estimate by email. I had a couple of questions and he responded promptly. I was up against a deadline because I had some tenants moving in and he was able to schedule the work so I could meet that deadline. Trustworthy and someone you would feel comfortable having work in your home while you are absent.

Mark and his team are the best group I've worked with. Right from the first meeting I knew that Mark took his business seriously and the guys he selected to work on the project were great! They arrived on time, got immediately to work and were focused on getting the job done right the first time. They were very careful with the landscaping and even tented the pond to ensure the safety of the fish.

Mark was easy to work with, professional, and patient as we worked through color choices. When the dark wood veneer bookcase wasn't quite covered after 3 coats of white paint, he added a 4th without asking and without additional charge. Highly recommended.

Mark returned my call quickly. He showed up on time to provide an estimate. I received the estimate within 4 hours. We booked the work. Mark showed up on the day and time exactly as planned. He helped move some items that I did not get to. In the process of his work, he also fixed and made better patch jobs I had done previously. That was not in the quote, and the result was an overall fantastic job. I was more than pleased with the work, the quality and professionalism. I am going to book him for another job that I need in the next month.

We played telephone tag for a while but Mark was very responsive to my calls/msgs. He was consistent and didn't give up when both of our schedules didn't work out initially to talk and to lock in the time/date to begin the job. I told him over the phone what needs to be done and he quoted me the price, which was very reasonable. He suggested a paint type and color from a painting store and told me how many gallons to buy (it is a stock color, so any unopened cans can be returned, which he did tell me). He showed up right at 8am and worked all the way through the day and was done by 3:30pm. He provided the material to caulk and covered the nail holes. Painted the doors with 2 coats plus he painted the baseboard for me while he was at it (he didn't hesitate to take this on when I asked that day). He was very professional, cleaned up after himself, pleasant to chat with, and paid attention to details: None of the hardware got any paint on them afterwards, which I was afraid it might, but he took care of things and the doors came out beautifully. I am normally very picky when it comes to quality work, especially from contractors, and Mark went above and beyond, so I definitely would recommend Mark and would use him again for any future paint jobs.

Mark was able to come over and give an estimate within a few days of my call. He then was able to start the work the following week. Gave great advice on paint selection/types. Was prompt and on time each morning to start the work. Left everything in great shape. When it was done he called to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and to arrange a walk through. We were so happy with the work that we didn't need a walk through, nothing to find that was wrong. A pleasure to work with and very professional. I will hire him again in the future for other paint work for sure.

McCleary Painting painted our interior built in cabinets. The job was done with the utmost care to the cabinets and the work area in our house/garage. McCleary painting is interested in doing the very best job. This is exemplified in the actual work performed, the care and respect for working in the customer's home, and his professionalism in conducting business. We plan on having McCleary painting paint all of our interior doors as well.

I had French doors that were badly stained. I asked Mark to paint over them with white paint. Mark supplied the primer and supplied the paint. Because the doors had been stained, Mark had to do three coatings on both doors and frame. Mark arrived on time as promised. He worked quickly and got the job done to my satisfaction. I would hire Mark again in the future without hesitation.

I am really impressed with the work. First of all, very very responsive. The walk-through went well and he told us right away the cost and the timing. In fact, he was able to start the painting earlier than expected and got the job done quickly. The attention to detail on the taping along with the complete absence of any dripping or splatter was great. Also, you can't even tell where the holes were patched! The entire process was easy and professionally handled. I am really impressed with McCleary painting and would highly recommend them to anyone. I've never had such a smooth transaction with a contractor.

Response to request for an estimate was very timely and scheduled work within two weeks of call to do so. Overall experience was very good, I would use again and recommend to my friends.

The owner needed to have a quick turn on the paint job so the apt. can be rented out. Mark responded to my call and we met the next day. He gave a quote and committed to start the job in 2 days. Mark promised the job will be done in 2 days. The quote was very reasonable. Mark and his painter showed at 6:30AM as promised. The job went smoothly like clock work. The job was done as promised. The painter cleaned up after himself. All around a very professional job.
