Description of Work: Painted home theater room and built a partial wall.

Description of Work: The salesman was very high pressure and hard sales. I asked for a quote to paint the trim and facia board on my one story house and remove the popcorn ceiling and install recessed lights. In my opinion, the quote was way over-priced.

Description of Work: I had some Masonary work done. It was basically just some maintenance work on some old bricks that needed re-cemented and diging out some old tree roots.

Description of Work: They told a pack of lies. |A man came to my door saying he was from construction company The House Next Door, said he was letting the neighbors know they would be working a few houses away that week and apologized in advance for any mess or inconvenience. I was impressed with the idea that they would reach out that way and asked a few more questions. He claimed the company is family owned, local to Torrance "down the street on Crenshaw" for 30 years and was originally a roofing company primarily that expanded to all aspects of construction on the advice of the owners sons. |I scheduled an appointment with him to have someone come look at our roof that needs some repair around the eaves. |Then I went online to look up the company; found out they are not located in Torrance, they do not seem to be family owned as far as I can tell and there were lots of reviews of people getting the same 'we are working nearby' story. I cancelled my appointment and told them to never come to my door again as they clearly lied from the out set. | |This company did not EVER appear on my street doing work as they claimed they would be. They lied to another person on my block and told him they would be working on MY HOUSE and got him to agree to a quote. Luckily he figured out they were shady before he ever talked to me. He told me they changed the quote several times and sent different people about 3 times. | I am still so appalled at the complete pack of lies they told me and my neighbor. Normally I think it is unfair to give a bad rating to a company if you never used them, but this is exactly the kind of situation that is the exception. |

Description of Work: Roofing job

Description of Work: Removed a wall in the house. In the middle of the project they asked for more money , the rep told us it was because drywall costs $500 per piece, when we said no they said they wouldn't finish the job, crummy service always late . Once they were late because of rain . That day was bright and sunny with no rain in the forecast. Absolutely nightmare experience.

Description of Work: Installed a kick box, and 3 pot lights.
