From the minute I talked to Jane on the telephone to the absolutely incredible customer service of the installation, it has been such a pleasure. Effortless, easy, respectful, and most importantly-- human. My husband and I will be using Jane again for the other side of our duplex once construction is completed. I chose Metrowest over the other bigger alarm companies because of its excellent reputation and the good service I had received when calling them. Jane, the owner, came out to look at our home and gave us a reasonable estimate and we liked the idea that they were a local company with the monitoring station right here as well. Their technicians were great. They were personable and knowledgeable and left me feeling confident with my new system. Jane made a follow up call to make sure everything was okay. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone in need of an alarm system.

It almost seems redundant to post a glowing review for Metrowest, since all the other reviews really do a nice job of expressing why they're so great. We found them via Angieslist, and later learned that friends have used them as well. They are prompt, courteous, very knowledgeable (we had tons of wires all over the house we just bought, and they were able to identify and deal with, and even use many of them). I found myself calling a number of times with questions prior to the install, and they were always great about giving me the time and attention necessary to feel like I understood everything. So much better than going with a big company. We met with those, and they're fine, but for the same install price (some items were slightly more or less, but the final price was almost identical to ADT), and a much lower monthly fee, we're getting personal service from people with whom I now feel I have a relationship. When it comes to something like safety, turns out that's kind of important. They're great.

I could have easily gone with another company that would have provided me with an alarm system for much less (in some cases free) but because it sounded to good to be true I decided I needed to do a little due diligence and lo and behold, I found Angie's List. I'm glad I found Angie's List because that led me to a couple of good finds, including Metrowest. While the system was well over my budget I couldn't ignore the stellar reviews Metrowest received. I decided to call and received great service from both Jane (the owner) and from the technicians that came to my house to install the system. The technicians were courteous and professional and most importantly, gave me peace of mind --PRICELESS. I've since recommended them to my friends.

I contacted this company for suggestions to deal with a theft problem in our carport. I asked for Jane (after reading the reviews on this site). We discussed my issue and Jane suggested another alternative (which didn't involve her company making any money). She went out of her way to get a second opinion from one of her technicians, found the appropriate website to direct me to. It would have been so easy for her to take the business even though it wasn't the best fit for my situation -- but instead she did the right thing, was genuinely helpful, and went beyond the call of duty to make sure I wasn't spending more money than necessary. I can't tell how refreshing this was. So nice to encounter such an honest, helpful business person who truly loves what she does.

Securing your largest investment - your home - and most valuable asset - your family, is serious business that deserves special attention. You will certainly receive that special attention and care when dealing with Metrowest. From the moment Jane Silverstein spoke with me on the phone to schedule a home visit and free estimate, to personally showing up to do it, I knew this was a company that cared about how they conduct business. During the estimating process, Jane spent a lot of time assessing the situation and discussing many options. There were no hard sell tactics and no pressure. She graciously answered my many follow-up questions - even while on vacation! The installation was seamless and quick. The installers were nice, professional, immaculate and knowledgeable. No mess! If you want a trustworthy security company with whom you can truly feel secure and confident - then call Metrowest immediately - - but only if you want the best.

I know that Metrowest did not perform any services for us, but I just have to report on what wonderful response I received from Jane Silversein. I found this company on Angie's List because I thought we were going to change alarm companies. I had called our alarm company because we were going to have our windows replaced and I needed to know what to do about all the alarm sensors on the old windows. The customer service person I spoke with told me that it would cost upwards of $100. per sensor to be replaced!! I was horrified and immediately decided to change alarm companies. I looked up Metrowest on Angie's List and spoke with Jane Silverstein, telling her about my dilemma. She gave me very good advice (and also that her alarm company would be incompatable with the existing system) but most importantly, suggested I call my company again because the charge seemed outrageous to her, as well. I am SO glad I did! The next customer service person told me that the first person I spoke with must have been new, or something, because there was no such charge! Only a minimal service charge. I was so relieved and I called Jane back to thank her. So I just wanted to share this experience with Angie's List.

Metrowest did an outstanding job from start to finish. I found them through Angies List and sent an email through their website. Jane Silverman called me the next morning to set up an appointment for an estimate. Unbeknownst to me, turns out she knew my name as she did the alarms for both my parents' and brothers' homes. Strange coincidence, given all the alarm companies in Los Angeles. My family have been happy with them as well, so I went ahead and scheduled the Job. The estimate was a little pricier than the other estimates that I recieved, but Jane was so professional that I just trusted her with the safety of my family. Her installers have been with her company for over 20 yrs. Who knows who ADT was going to send to scope out my house? This is not a service you want to always "go with the lowest bidder" on...seriously. It is your safety you are dealing with. There was a 25-30yr old, non functioning alarm in the house from several owners prior. Jane said that she was quoting me a price from scratch, but if they could use the old wiring, she would deduct the difference from the final bill. The installers were timely and professional. Clean and trustworthy. Clearly knowledgeable. They installed 3 new keypads, motion sensors, many, many window and door sensors (30+), a smoke detector and two heat detectors in the basement. No mess, no fuss. They were able to use the existing wires but added multiple switches so that we now have 15 "zones" in case of trouble. The new system is quite intuitive to use, but Jays' "lesson" was informative and entertaining. The interface is sooo much easier than the old ones I grew up with. Metrowest also contracts for the montoring service with is reasonably priced. Jane then sent me an email the next day stating that she was reducing my bill by $1000 since they were able to use the old wiring (which they fully checked and will stand behind). I'm sure many other companies would have told me the wires were either shot or "outdated" and put in a less reliable wireless system for full price. This proves my intuition about their honesty and integrity was correct. Fantastic company. I am looking forward to having them monitoring and protecting my home for many years to come!

Jane, one of the owners, came out to our house and gave us an estimate. It was higher than we had budgeted but I liked her professionalism, her availability (easy to reach on the phone) and her flexibility (we were able to customize a system to meet our immediate needs at a price we could afford) so we decided to go with Metrowest. Her installation crew was on time and finished the job in a timely manner (sooner than estimated). They were fast, friendly and didn't leave a mess. The system itself is easy to use. Their monthly fee is one of the cheapest we found. We are very pleased with our experience with Metrowest so far.

Jane came out and looked over the situations. Lloyd made a followup site visit. They called and discussed the challenges, and my personal requirements. They were extremely professional and polite; and showed up on time, installed the systems, and left the jobs totally clean. They completely explained every aspect of the system, and it works beautifully. When ever I have called them for clarrification, they always get back to me within a few hours, and explain (to this non technical person), what I need to do. They are the best, and I recommend them highly.

Wonderful. I received estimates from 2 other companies; ADT and Post. Metrowest came in with the lowest bid considering the installation fee and monthly charges ($25). Also my neighbor insists she LOVES this company. I like it because it's not a large, impersonal corporation, but family owned with all the same requirements as the big guys, such as calls going through a central station. I liked their wireless hardware for the windows, so small it's hardly noticible. Another plus was Metrowest installs the alarms inside and outside. The others would only install inside. The installation guys, Jay and Slava were polite, honest, very clean and friendly. I was actually sad to see them leave. The systems in so easy to use and is working perfectly. My only concern was when Jane was out on 2 vacations and not available for questions regarding her bid.

Every detail of service was excellent from providing an estimate ,workmanship and completing the work in a timely manner and leaving the premises as it was found...

Based upon their proximity and their reports on Angie's List, I called MetroWest to bid on replacing the alarm in my home. We were at the completion stage of a major construction project on our home, including replacing EVERY DOOR AND WINDOW on the first floor of our home. Jane Silverstein -- the owner of the firm (together with her husband Lloyd)-- came to our home to provide a quote. That was the first thing that impressed us...locally owned and operated. We were pretty tired of calling the local franchise of a big national firm when ever there was a problem with our previous alarm, or having to call Wichita whenever the alarm tripped! Jane's price was not the cheapest, especially to begin with...but she creatively worked with me to develop some ways to reduce the price without compromising the security of the home. And it was not high pressure, either. Date was set for the following week, and Jay, the lead installer, showed up right on time. They installed neatly, and finished in one day instead of two. No muss, no fuss. A small (VERY SMALL) glitch was handled promptly without any problem whatsoever. Since the installation, Jane and Lloyd have been very accessible with any questions. Highly recommended!

They are really great people. The reps and installers were very professional, quick, and understanding. There price was reasonable and added a few extras like a light in the garage(showing if its active). They did excellent work and completed it in a timely manner.

We have contacted them multiple times for help on how to use/control the cameras. We paid over 3,000 for a system that is not in use. They have an answering service but they do not return any messages.

They were very responsive when we called them. The woman was very helpful and took the time to listen to me and my particular problem and then offered some suggestions and made comments, which I really appreciated.

Their appraisal and recommendations seemed reasonable, and the people themselves seemed quite reliable and honest. The work was done with minimal hassle, although some post-installation adjustments needed to be made (no problem). The system is fairly easy to use, and much better than the old system (which hadn't worked for years). Cost was at the high end of their estimate, and it did take a few calls to get the second yard sign that they promised. Service so far has been exemplary.

Excellent in all respects, in my experience. Helpful, patient, knowledgable, responsive during a problem with battery backup while I was out of town, both on phone and in person. Showed up on time, did exactly what they said they would do. Very ''up-front'' and factual, allowing me to decide based on the options.

Jane came right on time to our condo to see the wiring for our current intercom system. It turned out our system is so old it raised a lot of questions which Jane researched and got back to me with answers. Even though our wiring cannot support the new intercom systems Metrowest sells, Jane was great about providing me the with necessary information to help us find a company to meet our needs. She provided great service. If our situation were to change I'd definitely use Metrowest.

VERY RELIABLE AND COMPETENT IN WIRING. TAKES THE TIME TO EXPLAIN HOW THE ALARM AND MONITORING SYSTEM WORKS. CLEANED UP AFTER HE WAS DONE. WAS ABLE TO GIVE KNOWLEDGEABLE ADVICE WITH SECURING THE HOME.
