The experience from the first call to the service itself was excellent. The phone scheduler and technician were very professional. The technician was even ealry for his appointment (!) and finished quickly. Awesome job!

They looked at the heater, inspected it, and explained why it was not working and it actually did come out by itself. They recommended that we could repair in two different ways, a less expensive way and a more expensive way, so that was very helpful. They did not even charge for it since it was an old one and they knew we would call them again. They said it should be replaced within two years. They were prompt and honest. We would hire them again.

Do : If you have questions are concerns let them know because they want it RIGHT! Conejo cleaned up well, their on site staff was great including Wally the owner of Conejo!!!! We are totally satisfied.

Repairman came out same day, on time. He efficiently diagnosed the problem and quoted a price. Work was done in two hours max.

Quickly found the problem. Gave us options and explained long term solution. He did not hard sell. Would use again.

Brandon and Wally run a great company with customer service given a top priority. Came out and gave estimate and explained the problems he was seeing. Very proactive with making certain that my system was safe and operating properly. Did some safety upgrades to my upstairs unit and a a great job installing the new system. Would highly recommend

He was very good. He was extremely reasonable. He came out here and he was really on it as well as reasonable for everything. It's a very good company. He was in the area early and called me. He actually got to the house an hour earlier.

Our experience was excellent. In fact, I even went to one of my neighbors to the original recommendation and then I just saw her and told her how pleased I was. I would definitely recommend them. My experience was positive because of the owner and the people working. It was done in a day and a half. Everything was very positive. They were responsive, punctual and professional. In fact, I have recommended them to people saying I've already checked out 3 companies and they are the ones that I would recommend.

I called several companies that were listed and selected with Conejo Valley the receptionist was most helpful, the boss checked my furnace completely. My furnace was 31 years old and we discussed that completely. P.S. I would highly recommend them.

When I turned on the heater last week I kept getting a burning smell. Making sure nothing was burning, I then found Conejo Valley Heating & A/C on Angie's list and called on the 17th to make an appointment. Brandon came out the next day and inspected the heater. He checked to make sure it was working alright and it was. He advised me of what I was probably smelling and recommended having the heater serviced. He said the cost would be $93.00. I said ok and Brandon called his office and set up an appointment for Bobby to service the heater the next morning. Bobby came and did the described work, advised me of a connection that could be updated but was not leaking and advised me of the cost should I decide to change it. No pressure what so ever. The cost for the service was exactly as Brandon had advised me the day before. Both were punctual and very professional. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

They are really good. They come out right away and they are polite. They are competitively priced and they did a good job. They are not cheap but they are fair.

Another local company told me I had to replace the air conditioning unit and would also have to replace the cooling coil because it would not be compatible with any new air conditioning unit. I was satisfied with that decision, but decided to get a second quote. Brandon from Conejo Valley Heating and Air came and told me he could replace just the air conditioning unit and could make it compatible, which was about half the price of the previous quote. The crew arrived two days later and did an outstanding job and the system is working great. This is a family owned and operated business that has been around for 39 years, that speaks for itself.

Everyone was very nice and professional. We had multiple schedule changes due to our closing date changing. Both Conejo Valley HVAC and the asbestos removal company they recommended were very patient and accommodating. I got 3 bids and Conejo was very reasonable. I dealt with Brandon and both of his assistants in addition to the guys that came and did the install. I can't say anything at all negative about any of them. Thanks Conejo Valley. I will definitely use you again in the future!

Brandon Dickey is the son of Wally Dickey who is the owner of Conejo Valley Heating and Air Conditioning. When Brandon came out to give me an estimate it was immediately apparent that he had personal knowledge of HVAC installations and knew his stuff. Salesmen can be pretty knowledgeable but they are never going to attain the level of person with first hand experience. Brandon is a fairly high energy person, and if you are new to HVAC jargon you will have to slow him down on occasion, but he will take the time to explain everything to your satisfaction. I had a few unique requirements and Brandon did a good job steering me to a mutually agreeable solution (turns out that what I want is not really adviseable from an HVAC system design and efficiency viewpoint. I want to control air flow by opening or closing any one or more registers in the house, but the systems are designed for constant air volume at their specified pressures. Oh well) Brandon put two crews on my job and was in and out in a day. The job went very smoothly except for that part where they tested the A/C - well, actually that went smoothly too, but it got awfully cold in the house as it was cold and drizzly outside. I think they had to run the furnace for a while to get it warm enough allow the A/C to operate for the required duration during test. Brrrr - left no doubt that that the A/C was working fine. Overall I am very happy with the work Conejo Valley Heating did. The only minor downside was the cleanup. On a scale from 1 to 10, cleanup was an 8 or 9. The A/C condenser coil tubes are jacketed with a metallic foil cut so that there are thousands of little 3/8 inch strips, like tinsel, protruding out from the tubes. That provides a LOT of surface area to transfer heat with, but some of the little buggers break in transit, and hundreds of them were laying about the driveway and walkways. They couldn't be swept or vacuumed up due to the drizzle. But, the next rain pretty much solved that issue. That left just a few small pieces of insulation stuck in the registers to complain about. One more thing to mention, just because it's one of those little annoyances, is that Trane, because of either their lazyness or arrogance, doesn't believe that customers deserve a nice dry operators manual for the condensor. They leave the manual on top of their units in outdoor storage so that the manuals can get nice and soaked when it rains. Too hard to put them in a plastic sleeve apparently. Go Trane! OK, so overall, from the estimating process to the installation, the job was well done and I'd have then come back in a heartbeat. In fact I've already referred them to an acquaintance and they got the job.

We replaced our 25 year old furnaces and air-conditioner. We knew that this would be a big job, and an expensive one, as we were replacing 3 furnaces and 3 air-conditioning units. We contacted 3 of Angie's list "A" rated companies to provide us with estimates on our job. All of the companies were professional, however Conejo Valley Heating and Air stood above the others. Brandon, the co-owner, arrived on time and did a pre-install walk through and provided us an estimate within 48 hours. Our estimate from Conejo Heating and Air was right in the middle of the other two. We very much liked that Brandon made suggestions but did not try to up-sell us on equipment or other services. We felt that we got just what was needed to heat and cool our 5,600 sq.foot home, and nothing above and beyond what would be needed in a California climate. The installation crew was terrific. They were neat, friendly and asked for input on placement of a couple vents. Every night our home was swept, and even vacumned if needed. We appreciated all of this! Wally, the co-owner was on the job the entire time and he was a pleasure to deal with. Wally is extremely professional and knowledgable. The job is now complete, our new furnaces are working beautifully (what a difference!), and the experience was a very good one. We would definitely recommend Conejo Heating and Air to anyone.

My 91 year old mother complained that the heater would turn on, but would soon turn off and continue to blow cold air. One repair service she contracted with concluded that the freon had leaked out. They injected a sealer and recharged the unit. The problem soon returned. Based on reports in Angies List, I called Conejo Valley and felt comfortable with having them make a service call. Their technician showed up during the agreed timeframe and professionally inspected and tested both the inside and outside units. He also concluded that the freon had leaked out and showed me where two lines had rubbed together (vibration) resulting in two pinholes the lines. He bid the job at $660 to solder the two holes and recharge the system with 8 pounds of freon (at $38/pound) and estimated the repair to take about 2 hours. No other parts would be replaced. The service call was $69 which would be applied to the repair costs. They additionally said they would "waive" the cost of the freon as a courtesy to my mom since she already paid for that with another company. Hmmm. I believed that this amount appeared to be excessively high and wanted to check with other firms to see if this estimate was in the ballpark of industry standards. However, my mother was pleased with the professionalism of the technician and, due to scheduling concerns and the weather, wanted the unit repaired immediately. As such, she made the appointment for a few days later. At the request of the company, the appointment was rescheduled for one day later. A different technician arrived on time and made the repairs in about one hour. My mother was satisfied with the work performed and the unit appears to be working. I am still unsure that the amount charged was fair and reasonable. For example, the first company that recharged the unit chagred $10 per pound of freon plus the service call, which I didn't learn until after Conejo Valley A/C completed the job. Also, $660 for one hour of labor (no parts were required) is high. However, since I did not do my own due dilagence, I cannot say for sure what other companies would have charged for this repair.

When Branden came out to do the pre-install walk through, he brought some issues to our attention, and recommended that we move the location of the furnace. He went over our options and the pros and cons of both. We decided to move it to a new location. He worked with the general contractor, to ensure we'd have a well designed closet to house the new system. The crew came in early one day to remove the old system. Then we had the new closet built, and then they came back another day to do the install. The workers layed down cloth over our floors, and worked quickly to get all the new ducting and furnace in. Whenever they had options for us, they asked, like where the new thermostat would go, or where the exterior drain pipe should go. When they were done they tested all the vents to make sure each room was getting adequate airflow, and even adjusted some of the vent grills. Before they left they cleaned everything up, including vacuuming inside our house where they had been. The system is working great, just in time for the winter. We are extremely happy with the work they did.

He was late getting here but once here Wally did an outstanding job. He gave an estimate & was right on the money. He also offered us info on a new furnace with applicable rebates but told us the old furnace once repaired and cleaned would probably go another 10 years. He also warned us about another part that may need to be repaired in the future and gave us a discounted estimate for repair. He showed us how dirty our blower assembly was, pretty nasty, and completely took it apart, cleaned it and reassembled & installed it. He also recaled our fan so it works properly now. Plus, our clean furnace puts outs twice as much heat now. I will definately have him back to clean it again in the future and will buy a new furnace from them when needed in the future.

Brandon, the owner, took care of installation and delivery. They had very good service, and everything was done well and on time.

Brendan came out and took a look at my situation and quoted me a ballpark price on the spot. Then he delivered a formal quote the next day exactly when he said he would. What I liked about Conejo, and Brendan is that he didn't try to upsell me. I purchased a system that is perfectly sized and perfectly priced for my home. They came on time, and got the work done and left. The installer, Kyle, was very knowledgeable, and was also very careful of my white carpet.

He was fantastic. I have known him for long time. He did some basic renovation on my parent?s place which we were getting ready to rent out. He helped me to bring the house up to code. He fixed a ton of things for me. He did small and big jobs for me. He was honest and did what he said he would do. The contractors he had were very, very good. The person who did the ceiling is the best worker I have ever seen; unbelievable ceiling work. The electrician fixed a dishwasher for me. I was there for a while but I had to come back to California and he took care of things for me when I could not be there. He watched over my house for me and made sure that everybody was reliable. The ceiling guy, the electrician and the plumber were outstanding. There was a mistake with the flooring. They put the upstairs bathroom flooring in the downstairs bathroom and the downstairs bathroom flooring in the upstairs bathroom. He looked into it immediately and dealt with it for me. He knew that he had made a mistake and corrected it immediately. It was fine. He bailed me out. I thought I had everything fixed before a tenant was moving in. I was checking everything and I found that something was wrong with the dishwasher. I called him and he came over within two minutes of my call. He was awesome. Not many people I know out here would do that. The price was very reasonable. I did not have anybody here in California to help me with this project and he helped me. It was not an easy time for me and he was there for me.

I wasn?t here while they were doing the repair, but I believe they did what they had charged me for. He explained things to my wife and he did do the things that he said he would do. He did not break out parts and labor, though. I got an invoice that just said that he had fixed a quickstart kit. When I called them to know more about it they said it was just a formula that they had used. They were not dishonest, but I feel they did something that was not particularly satisfactory. I would recommend them, though.
