Description of Work: Maintenance of a/c unit. Needed coolant. Advised that one unit may need to be replaced in the near future, which I suspected, but there was absolutely no hard sell. Hopefully I can get thru the summer before it does fail, but I will definitely use them in purchasing a new unit.

Description of Work: The company replaced our heating and cooling systems, so it was a big and expensive job. They were professional and had the job done in one full day. We had some problems with the thermostats we had purchased elsewhere but they made sure we were all set - even coming back another day to get them installed properly. I recommend them very highly.

Description of Work: They removed and replaced a furnace that was very old and had stopped working. Much of the electrical needed to be moved, and they worked very hard and efficiently to get everything into the rather small space that was available. Two new thermostats were also installed, one for each of our furnaces, and were included in the price.

Description of Work: They expanded the intake for our air conditioner and redesigned the drain to naturally flow out instead of using a pump. We have called Conejo for all our heating and air conditioning services and they have always been very good. We will continue to use them in the future.

Services performed: removed old furnace from hallway closet; installed new Energy Star digital, programmable thermostat; installed a safety drain pan and drain to terminate outside; Installed a new 3 ton, 14 seer evaporator; installed a new secondary safety pan assembly under the evaporator; installed new properly sized and insulated refrigeration line set from the condensing unit to the evaporator coil; exposed vertical run was cased with a two-part metal cover plate and sealed at the base; installed a new 60,000 BTU, 80 percent efficient, 2-stage Trane furnace model number: X L 80; |installed a new return plenum, which was suspended from roof joists to eliminate vibration transfer and was quake strapped; installed a new gas shut off and connector; installed a new 3-ton, 13 seer Trane condensing unit which was properly quake strapped; performed a high-pressure nitrogen leak test and purge of refrigeration system; all ducting designed and installed according to California Title 24 codes; all exposed medals were insulated and ducks were properly supported and hung; the system was test run and monitored for 15 minutes to make sure that maximum efficiency levels were met.

Description of Work: Conejo Valley Heating and Air was called to fix my air conditioner which had stopped working unexpectedly. They diagnosed the problem, had the parts available to fix it and were able to make the repairs on the spot. They explained what had happened and told me how to avoid this same thing in the future. They were very honest, professional and reasonably priced. I will be using them to service my heating and air going forward.

Description of Work: I am not writing about one particular job or about money. I'm writing about some great guys who helped me when I really needed someone I could count on. Branden and his father and other Conejo Valley Heating and A/C staff members were my advisers and lifesavers in a recent incident involving a corrupt contractor who improperly installed a furnace at my residence in October 2009 without a permit. There have been numerous subsequent out-of-pocket expenses and many code violations remain. (Branden has told me that up to 80% of CVHAC service calls are to "clean up messes" made by crooks in the industry.) I fought for months and finally just won full restitution from the corrupt contractor. Branden and his team will be coming in to remove the compromised furnace and install a new one. If you want work done extremely well, by guys who know what they are doing and stand by their work, who are impeccably honest and always eager to help, don't waste your time and money going elsewhere. CVHAC is the only way to go!!
