Description of Work: I recently moved and had a QuietCool ventilation system that I love in my other home that we are turning into a rental. I spoke with John and planned on having his company move the fans and two Envirocool units (sort of new age quiet swamp coolers) to the new property. The closing date kept changing. We finally closed at the end of October. John had two excellent servicemen, Justin and Chris, meet me at the old house available on 2 days notice. They removed the equipment and installed it in the new house. They also added 3 new QuietCool fans. They were professional and prompt. They kept the work site clean and worked around us as we were moving in and had other workmen on site. Kudos to the whole team. I recommend DEC without hesitation The QuietCool/Envirocool system has worked wonderfully in our old home. Last year in the Inland Empire we used AC only during 3 weeks when we had the monsoonal flow and thunderheads over the mountains. The prior year we NEVER used our AC system and we get a $300 credit every year from SC Edison to allow them to turn it off anytime. (I think the credit is dropping to $200 next year) Our electric bill is lower in the summer than the winter and our bill averages $300-400 less than our neighbors in similarly sized homes. We are hoping and expecting to get the same economical cooling performance out of the system in our new home.

Description of Work: I needed an electrician for trouble-shooting ASAP. When I explained my issue to John, he told me that while their company was certainly capable of addressing the problem, they were booking out into next week and wouldn't be able to help me in the time frame I was looking for. I appreciate John being 'up-front' with me about the time frame, rather than being led on ... and I told him so. I would definitely keep Direct Electric Co in mind for future jobs.

Description of Work: I found this contractor on Angie's list and called the afternoon of 12/7. Immediately got an appointment for 12/8 between 12 and 2. Justin, the employee, called in the a.m. of 12/8 and asked if we would like him to come in earlier as he had a cancellation. We have had an ongoing frustrating problem where the gfi switch that controls all of our bathrooms and one outside outlet kept tripping when I would use my hairdryer, etc. I have had my former electrician out three times to try to solve this issue and ended up paying him $150 for these visits in which nothing was resolved. Justin was in and out of the house in less than an hour and fixed the problem which he diagnosed immediately. He was very pleasant and professional. He left us a warranty and said if there are any more problems he will come out and repair it for free. Overall a great experience.
