Direct Electric Company

These guys are the best! Seriously. They were right on time, didn't charge us a dime more than our estimate, and worked quickly. They left the areas they worked in spotless. They were incredibly friendly and professional. And, they were friendly to our animals (which was an added bonus!). We've had some mediocre (and worse) experiences with electricians in the past, but Direct Electric was phenomenal. They were worth every penny. We will most definitely be calling them back for any work we may need in the future. If you're looking for electrical services, go with Direct Electric. You won't be disappointed.

The tech took the $135 and walked out of here like a chesher cat with out going in my attic at all to fix my electrical work. My husband and I have been sick and have not been able to explain the issue was not fixed. I contacted him a week ago and apologized that I did not contact him from last year about my electrical work not even being looked at beyond my smoke alarm and that I am having electrical problems in my guest bathroom and bedroom, my fan switch does not work and the heating lamp in the master bathroom started to spark in December, I told him "I am not an electrician but perhaps this problem has to do with the smoke alarm in the hallway." and he said he would come investigate the issue for another $185 and I told him that I paid him last year for this service and it did not get done. I called John Long this morning because we had an appt. for 11AM-noon and he didn't show up. I want my $135 back from my visit on 3/24/14 and I will go some place else as they failed to fix the problem the first time and did not show up or contact me for rescheduling to come out and look at this again. In the past they have done good work and one of the reasons I liked him is because he is a contractor with a license but there is no excuse for him not showing or calling today. Before today I would have rated him higher but he needs to answer his phone and listen to what his customer needs. He can send a check to my home.

Team showed up ready to go to work, they were shown fans needed to be installed in where to place them, from that point team went right to work to complete job. All were friendly an informative about the request I had for a third fan, unfortunately it was the wrong type for intended use. Helpful suggestions were made about the correct type fan I needed.

I have had the original QC whole house fan for about 8 years. It worked really well and I was happy with it. (Whole house fans suck the cool night air into your house and blows the hot air out of your attic because your house cannot cool down with hot air in the attic, and can ultimately mimmic the feel of air conditioning but for pennies vs dollars.) However I decided to upgrade by installing the newest version, the Stealth, and I'm so glad I did. It is a little quieter and definitely more powerful than the original. When I walk past an open window I can really feel the cool night air being pulled in. Feels great. The other great thing about the QC Stealth is that it now has a more modern designed rectangular 22"vent with a metal grid and metal flaps inside that close when not in use and open when running, so it is closed off to your attic when not in use.( Better and more efficient I think) The old style was just a simple circular vent that remained open to your attic at all times which I did not really like. The new version also comes with a digital shut off timer so if you want to turn it on at night and then go to bed, you can decide how long it will run. Direct Electric installed this QC whole house fan and I was very happy with them. They did a fantastic job, efficient, professional, knowledgable and were nice people too. I will definitely hire them again for other jobs around the house. I'm making a list. I recommend the fan and I recommend Direct Electric. Also I have heard that next year builders will be required to put whole house fans into all new construction for energy efficiency. A good experience.

bbThese guys were amazing!!! They were on time. The job was done quickly and they beat other competitors prices. John wasn't able to make it but assured my husband and I that his crew were very skilled because we had expressed our concern with past experiences were a licensed guy we hired for a project sent a handy man who did a crappy job and we had to hire someone else to repeat the job. In the end, we weren't disappointed with these guys. They are all very skilled and you can tell they have been doing this for a while. My husband and I were not disappointed. I have them saved to my favorites and this is not the last time we will be using them. I will refer direct electric company to every person i know. Its good to know I have an electric company that I can rely on for any project moving forward. My review is sort of late so the date of project is not accurate but it was in the month of March.

Fans are whisper quiet and install was top notch. Installers were excellent and professional. Thanks for your services

Only took approximately 15 minutes. Fixed to my satisfaction.

I called them right after the deal and they came right out. They looked at my attic and said they couldn't do the work because there wasn't enough room in the attic. It was disappointing that the work couldn't be completed.

They were very professional, did a great job. We would use the again if we ever have the need.

DEC contacted me promptly after I had purchased the Big Deal and answered all my questions. The work was scheduled and they kept me informed/reminded of the date/time. The two workers showed up on time, with a phone call before arrival. They were pleasant and professional. The fan was installed very quickly and they were careful to clean up behind themselves. They explained what they were doing and fully informed me on how to use the fan controls. All in all, a very pleasant experience and I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

The technician, David Sanchez, was courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt from start to finish. I would recommend without hesitation.

I advise checking size of fan being installed to see if its big enough

2 men arrived 1/2 hour early. They went right to work. Cleaned up when finished.

It was gonna be an additional $900 to do the job.

the company had a cancellation and called to ask if they could come earlier in the day than originally scheduled, which i was happy to oblige. the electricians arrived, asked about locations that i would like the fans installed, we discussed the options and concluded on the locations that would work for the fan intakes. the electricians were very skilled at fan installation, they were able to make the necessary cuts to install the fans and keep all of the drywall debris contained and clean up the job sites very quickly. they were also able to locate the controls where i requested them without any problems. all in all a good experience and i would use them again and recommend them to others for the same services.

1. Actual install was pretty fast. Took just 2.5 hours. 2. Very reasonably priced. Saved us $1500 over a quote from another Angies List high rated Murietta based QuietCool company. 3. My DEC point of contact, Rick, was extremely responsive; very much unlike the other QuietCool company we tried hard to work with. 4. Rick did not try to up-sell us at all. I gave him every chance to do that. Very impressed. 4.1 This was also very different from the other QuietCool company we tried to work with. 5. Rick was a former long time sales manager at Quiet Cool so he really knew his stuff. That gave me a big degree of confidence in what he was saying. Regarding the current Angie?s List Big Deal - make sure you need the Trident as opposed to the Classic. The Classic is cheaper and you still get a 10 year warranty as opposed to a 15 year warranty for the more expensive Trident.

On time, efficient, clean, and thorough.

They were on time and very professional. While they were installing the fan, they would tell me what they were doing and why they were doing it. It was done quickly (2 hrs) and neatly. They didn't leave a bit of dust behind. The installation looks great and I love the product.

It went well. Very neat, courteous. Fixed a problem caused by previous installers by securing the fan and eliminating wobble.

Angie's should make note of the area involved in an offer before it is put out as a Big Deal in all San Diego areas. I would appreciate it if Angie's refund policy was more timely, within two weeks of cancellation.

They were running half an hour late, but called to let us know and then arrived a half hour later. The work was quick and clean, went to work as soon as they arrived.

It went pretty well. They were on time, the price was reasonable, and I was satisfied with the quality of the work.

They did a great job for me. I have nothing but excellent things to say about them.

They had a great rating on Angie’s List and that’s the reason why I chose them from other electrical companies.
