Description of Work: We had some issues with the flashing surrounding the chimney and where the paper and tar were worn or improperly installed by the builder, causing some leaking under the eaves and into the chimney. |The owner of Shelter, Scott came out and was very good about explaining everything that needed to be done, he was very nice and so was his crew that came out the next week. They did all the work in a single day. We also got an estimate from them for solar and are considering that as well. We highly recommend Shelter, they were reasonable in price and very easy to work with.

Description of Work: Shelter Roofing installed new underlayment on our tile roof. | |They were very professional and took the time to explain the process of repapering the roof. They outlined the steps, and finished the project on time. | |Scope of work done: | |They removed all of the tiles, |replaced any rotted wood, |pulled up and replaced all of the flashing, |repainted the fascia boards, |installed roof vents, |installed 2 layers of underlayment, |reset all of the tiles |and added extra tiles to replace any previously broken tiles that had been on the roof for 30 plus years. | |They started on a Tuesday and finished Friday afternoon. |Clean up was done every day. | |This repair exceeded all of our expectations and we are very happy with the job. | |We highly recommend this company!

+ -1 moreScott called the a few days before starting, saying he needed to change it for one day later. They were there on time, very nice, got right to work, tearing off the roof. Scott showed up about two hours later with supplies, parking the trailer in our driveway. The job took two days to complete, and his men cleaned up and left. When I returned that day, I found a lot of pebbles/gravel scattered on the ground, as well as green marks on the driveway. I knew Scott would not have left it like that, so I called him and he was so upset he came out the same day I called and had his men comeback the next day to power vac and power wash the driveway, leaving it all pristine. I HIGHLY recommend Shelter Roofing and Scott.
Description of Work: After patching several leaks over the last year, we decided to bite the bullet and reroof. Scott came out to inspect the roof and said we only needed the 2 flat areas in the front of the house(covering our garage and two bedrooms), that the peaked roof over the rest of the house was still in good condition. Both sides needed new roofing, with one needed new plywood, and the other was found to have insulation, but there were two roofs, one of top of the other. He told us the price and when he would be able to start, which was a week later, do to all the storms we had faced, he was really booked up.

Although his bid was not the lowest, he was flexible and adjusted his bid to substantially narrow the difference, in part by modifying the work proposal to include some extras not originally proposed. He and his crew were very pleasant and easy to work with, were punctual, did everything agreed, and at the price quoted. It was a joy hearing his crew enjoy their work, laughing and singing through their two workdays.
Description of Work: Removed old shingles (4/2/2010) and replaced with GAF/Elk 40-year shingles (4/3/2010) with 40-year underlayment and four roof vents. Shingles: GAF/Elk Timberline Prestique High Definition Shingles. Color: Barkwood

Description of Work: Very professional service and an excellent final product. We have been very pleased over the past 4 1/2 years since completion. Recently we experienced very heavy rains with extremely high winds. A small leak appeared in the chimney area. We called Shelter Roofing and they immediately came out and cleaned the outside chimney area and re-caulked the flashing. Scott of Shelter Roofing said don't hesitate to call if there are any problems. Standing behind your product rates very highly with us and Shelter Roofing definitely stands behind their product!

The job was performed thoroughly, with attention to detail, and completed in a few days. The crew was very competent and Scott was actively participating in all steps of the process. His general contractor license allowed him to solve technical problems that were beyond the scope of simple roofing. I highly recommend Shelter Roofing and will likely hire this company again.
Description of Work: Shelter Roofing installed a new roof on my house, corrected some roof sagging (prior to installing the new roof), working in synch with the solar system company who installed my solar panels.

+ -1 morePerfect. Another roofer had repaired cracked tiles. Additional tiles needed to be replaced. The other company used the wrong color tile. Shelter roofing fixed the cracked tiles and replaced all of the incorrect color tiles. The total price was approximately half of the price the other company had charged. They just showed up while I was at work and sent an invoice.
