He was great! He did the inspection and also redid my entire electrical system and added some outside lighting.

Switched Electric. I'm looking forward to working with him. We requested a quote to fix the areas where old wiring or incorrect/substandard needs to be fixed. Will begin in January (our slower time) so we can. He was conscientious and conservative (with our time and money). I appreciated his professionalism and honesty. A young man with old fashioned, craftsman's values. What a dream.

We took advantage of the Angie's List promo to have the entire house inspected for $49. We have been remodeling our house and recently changed all of the switches and outlets from a dated ivory color to bright white. My husband did this work (he is an electrical engineer) and during the process he found that a combination garbage disposal switch/outlet in the kitchen would trip the kitchen GFI every time he tried to hook up the outlet, and he couldn't determine why. Since my parents nearly 100 year old house was destroyed by fire last year I wanted to eliminate uncertainty and find out what was wrong with this kitchen plug. Seth arrived just after the agreed upon time. He asked me to show him around the house etc. and got to work checking out our electrical system right away. He didn't look at every location but instead did an in depth look at a sample of our outlets and switches, as well as inspecting the main circuit breaker panel. He diagnosed the kitchen plug problem within minutes and told us how to fix it ourselves so we wouldn't have to pay for labor. He also recommended replacing two of the circuit breakers in the main panel, saying those particular breakers were prone to failure and could take out the entire panel at a cost of $1000. We agreed so Seth went out to purchase the parts then installed them. He said otherwise we are in good shape with our electrical system. Seth uses his iPad to draw pictures of parts/problems, bill the customer using a credit card and send an e-receipt, so he is very adept with technology. Seth was very personable, informative and professional. He drives 90 miles to the Bay Area to take advantage of our booming economy so I don't envy his commute but I do admire his work ethic. I will definitely call Seth next time I need an electrician.

We were noticing flickering lights in our house for sometime. Recently the GFCI in my laundry room would trip and shut off power to large sections of the house. Nothing short of restting multiple GFCI and resetting the main breaker would restore the power immediately. The tripping would happen uncorrelated to load conditions and sometime would come back on its own. I replaced the GFCI myself but it did not correct the problem. While resetting the breaker, I could feel it arch and so I decided to call-in the professionals. I subscribed to Angie's list just for this and called someone who had done work in the geographical area and was listed as being familiar with Solar and EV since I have both of this in the house. Seth from Switched electric was available on the call and gave a reasonable estimate and same day appointment. At the appointed time Nathan showed up, opened up the breaker box and clearly explained to me what was causing the arching and why we will have to put in a new breaker at a new position.He took a picture and sent it over the phone to get a second opinion. I liked the methodical and logical fashion in which he isolated the problem so that we fix the correct problem. Then he provided a cost estimate for the service, went and purchase the part and installed it. He also suggested a better wiring option so that GFCI in the laundry room would not trip master bedroom and rewired it. He rewired an outdoor lamp that would not turn on due to faulty photo-cell. At the end the bill was extremely reasonable. I waited a week to write a review to make sure that the problem was resolved and it is. I highly recommend Switched Electric for methodical, punctual and cost-effective service experience.

It was a more difficult job than they expected because the fan was in the tiled ceiling of the shower. They had to precisely cut the tile without breaking it. They spent more time than anticipated but never complained, didn't raise the cost, and did a really nice job.

The crew was punctual, clean, quiet, professional and fast. Everything they said they would do they did. One fan did not work as advertised and they promptly replaced it.

This was an excellent experience. Seth arrived on time and spent a couple of hours doing a very thorough inspection of our home. This is important because we are preparing to put it on the market and we need to know of any issues. Seth did find some relatively minor things for us to fix, but the inspection really paid off when he called out a major code violation from the previous owner that not one but two home inspectors had missed. Besides this, Seth was very professional to deal with, and took time to explain things. He was also very up front about things I didn't need to spend any money on, and taught me a few basics on light switches and electrical outlets, etc. so I'll know what to look for and what not to worry about. Very honest, personable, down to earth, and professional. He provided us a quote for what needs to be done.

Overall it was very good experience. Excellent service and he was very profesional. He also educated us on some electrical suff around home.

We had some long time issues with our electricity and had had other electricians take a look but no one found a problem. Seth from Switch came out, heard the symptoms and diagnosed the problem. He gave us an estimate to do the repairs and proceeded to have the job done. We are sooooooo pleased we no longer have clocks that loose time or power and no more flickering lights. We also had some exhaust fans that were tired and wanted to put a quieter fan that Switch Electric had a special Angie's List price. Seth got up in the attic and informed me that there was a water line running over the top of the fan housing so that he couldn't put the larger one in. BUT he was able to upgrade all of our fans in the existing housing with quieter and more efficient fans and covers. What a great company and we are so delighted with the work and the personnel. Nathan arrived early after calling to ask whether it would be ok. He estimated that it would take 1.5 hours to install the outlet just by the panel, and it would cost $187.00. I thought it was expensive, but have not way of comparing since we did not get any other estimates. In any case, Nathan installed a weather resistant outlet box on the outside wall. It looks professional, clean, and it is working. Since he had some time left, he pulled some wires out of the panel that were attached to ancient pool equipment so that we could dismantle it without running into electrical issues. I mentioned the coupon for Angie's list members, and was able to get a discount of 25%. Overall, no complaints. I had the impression that he knew what he was doing, and his comportment was professional and proper.

It went very well. 100% delightful and kind. He was professional and answered all our questions.

Seth arrived a little late, but called to let me know about a traffic back up. He was done with all the work within 45 minutes which was absolutely great. He was honest and took the time to explain everything. I would definitely call Switched Electric the next time I need any electrical work done.

Well! Except for the needed repair he left the bathroom spotless.

Seth called priot to our scheduled appointment to let me know he was running ahead of schedule and asked if it was okay to come early. How great is that, a contactor arriving early. He installed a quiet new ventillation fan in our bathroom and was out the door in less than two hours. During the job he wore protective booties and put a tarp down to protect the floor. He vacuumed up the dust from the drywall before leaving. A very quick, professional job at a great price.

Originally I purchased an electrical inspection through Angie's List, which was a special being offered by Switched Electric. Seth came to the house when scheduled, and performed the inspection, and reviewed everything with me, including his recommendations on what I should focus on and which aspects were low priority. Seth provided detailed estimates for all of the items that the inspection determined did not meet code, and I selected the two projects that were most important to me. We then scheduled the work, and he and an employee of his performed the work as scheduled, and scheduled the inspection. Seth was very pleasant to work with, and very professional. His use of technology impressed me, especially his use of his ipad for the inspection, such as taking pictures of each item that was not up to code, which he then used in a report that detailed each item, which he emailed to me for my records. His quotes for work were thorough and detailed. He was flexible in timing and showed up when promised, and the work was completed in less time than he originally estimated, and everything was cleaned up after work was completed each day. The city inspection went very smoothly.

Seth was very professional, prompt, trustworthy, kind, respectful to me and to my property, it's very refreshing to find someone who takes the time and steps necessary to protect the area he is working in from damage and cleans the area every day after he finishes working even though the property was vacant he was very thoughtful this earns A+A+A+ in my opinion. Seth was so honest, some of the things I was requesting to be done, he told me did not need to be done, wow how ofton do you see that. He charged me exactly what he said he would, he was not the cheapest bid I received, however I feel you get what you pay for and he did the work himself and he was worth every penny, you can't put a price on piece of mind that a job was done right, safely for yourself or your tenants. I highly recomend Seth Switched Electric he is my new best friend.

I purchase this deal on Angie's special deal. I called Seth and we schedule an appointment. He showed up on time and during his evaluation he mentioned that it wouldn't be a good idea to install the motion light where we wanted due to potential structural demage of the garage roof and he came up with a better solution that fit our needs even better. He asked several question and he installed a state of the art timer instead of a motion light since we already had lights outside on the garage walls. He proved to be very knowledgeable and he was able to provide a customized solution for our needs. We were really happy with his service. He also took a look a some other electrical connections we have and gave us some advices to deal with that as well.

I called Seth (electrical contractor) and described the project. He gave me a preliminary estimate, which turned out to be accurate.I called back the same day and we set a date to perform the work. Seth is a young and agile man. He performed the work quickly and efficiently. The work area was protected with plastic sheeting and all surfaces were returned to their original state. I paid Seth with a credit card on the spot. I'm sure Seth is ahead of most other contractors with his electronic display, billing, and payment ability. I will definitely recall Switched Electric again.

Overall I was very pleased with Switched Electric's work. I originally had them out for the security light and then based on that job brought them out for future jobs. Each job was completely as scheduled and with high quality workmanship. Work site was also completely cleaned when done. It has been about a month since job completion and all is working well.

Went very well. Seth was very punctual and responded to e-mail very quickly. He replaced the light very quickly, and provided quotes on some other work I requested.

Seth did an outstanding job. He had to think creatively about how to install the driveway light without interfering with a load-bearing beam. Since there was no pre-existing wiring, he charged $150 as printed in Angie's list Big Deal ($75 for 15 feet of installed electrical and conduit) but updated our garage door outlets and wiring at no extra cost. He showed up on time and completed the job under his 2 hour estimate. We will definitely call again for any electrical needs.

again, nothing to complain about (and i'm famous for complaining!) Seth is great, his work is perfect, and he also saved me money by passing cost savings on materials to me.
