Switched Electric

This review is based on service after he left and was suppose to come back. To be fair his service for the day was great and no complaints except for cord length on dryer he bought . Seth came to my house to move 2 electric plugs over about 3 ft. One of the plugs was for a dryer which he told me he needed to buy a new cord and install a 4 plug instead of the current 3 plug. The new cord he put in was too short and was stretched out hanging mid air. I told him the cord was too short and he stated he would swap it out after his vacation as he was leaving for a week. I told him that was fine. while he was gone I text him to let him know I had a oven plug I needed installed also so I wanted to let him know so he could plan to do both on the same day. He did not respond back which was fine as I knew he was on vacation. I expected to hear from him when he got back . last l spoke to him it was August 26th. It is now Sept 23rd. I have text his work number twice, emailed him twice, left 2 phone messages and text his personal number. no response on any of them. I made it clear if he didn't have time to please let me know either way. still no response. I now have to pay another electrician to buy a new cord and install it after I already paid Seth $700.00. He was very professional and nice but his lack of response is very disappointing and unprofessional. I would have recommended him highly but anyone that can't take a few seconds to respond back and doesn't keep his word about coming back and fixing something he's been paid for isn't worth it. I always try to treat others how I would expect to be treated and I always hope others would do the same but unfortunately that is not the case with Switched Electric.

It all went well, completed everything in just under one hour. Very pleased with his work.

Fine. Except there was NO mention when scheduling that there is a site visit fee. Far too expensive for 20 minutes work. Never use again. Switch is loose and I shall find another electrician to do a better job!!!

It went very well. Seth from switched electric made his time very flexible. He came out, showed me what was wrong, left some notes in the invoice I could use to get reimbursed from my building, and taught me a thing or two while he was at it. He was very friendly and easy to work with.

He came out and looked over the job, promised an estimate in a day. After three reminders and ten days later nothing was ever received.

Wonderful! Seth explained why the breaker had failed and replaced it. When removing the failed breaker, the one next to it also did not look good, so Seth replaced it as well. I asked about upgrading, expanding my breaker box and Seth explained everything all my options. I even asked about a whole house fan and an estimate. I will have Seth back to install that as well. Great service! Seth was fast and friendly

Seth responded quickly and after giving us a date when he could do the job we asked if he could fit us in if the opportunity arose. He accommodated our wishes when another job was postponed and came the day after we signed the estimate. His solution for running the lines for the security lights was better than my idea and he accomplished the task of running the new line and installing the security lights I provided in just under 4 hours. A very pleasant experience for us and I would recommend him to anyone needing electrical work.

I used this company in the past and it was a great experience. I took a chance on them and then Gave a positive review, which I now regret. This time, they just stopped communicating. Are they too busy? Am I suddenly outside the service area? It would be nice to know but they never bothered to tell me.

I liked the honesty and the manner of the presentation. I hired them back to do the suggested upgrades and am very happy. Especially with the separate outlet for the microwave - a big improvement to keep the kitchen running well.

Seth is on-time, knowledgeble. Actually, i will say no complaint on that inspection day. However, the after- inspection following up is horrible, now is almost 3 weeks after the inspection. And, i have not received the inspection report yet. I contacted Seth several times asking about the report status. but, never got a definitive answer or feed back about the report.

I purchased a deal from Switched Electric because they came up in my local deals. When we made contact, we realized he is based nearly two hours away. He asked what I was looking to do and recommended Got Watts in my area. He was so friendly and helpful, so I wish him the best with his business. I did call Got Watts and had a wonderful experience with them installing my whole house fan, so thank you for the referral, Switched! :-)

I purchased an electrical inspection from Switched Electric through Angie's List. Seth came and did the full inspection and provided me with a full written report, and sat down with me to review it. Based on that, he provided me with a quote to complete the work. From that I selected what I wanted done. We scheduled a time and he showed up as promised and completed the work. He had estimated up to 5 days to complete, and he finished in 4 days. He took care to protect floors, walls, furniture, etc., and cleaned up after each day of work. I had hired Seth to do similar type and scope of work when I lived in San Jose, so this is the second time that I have hired him. I would recommend him to anybody looking to have electric work done at their house.

I had an excellent experience with this company several months ago but since then in spite of leaving numerous messages and emails I have not received a reply. Is this company still in business?

The provider showed up on time and ready to go. She was efficient, thoughtful and thorough. We will definitely use this company again.

I bought this deal for $99 for a ceiling Fan install, the provider was not available for 2 months, How can a deal be provided if he has no available slot for next 2 months

Switched Electric lives up to their "A" rating. Timely; fair prices; works quickly while still time for questions; Seth is a pleasure to work with; has a good understanding of home automation, particularly Insteon. I've been looking for an electrician to replace our main panel, and we have found him in Seth. Looking forward to a safer home.

He decided that a new fuse box was not required but he did a thorough inspection.
