Brian came out and did a complete walk around our house with us to prepare an estimate. Upon inspection he said that we only needed to paint certain portions of the home (those most exposed to rain and sun); we appreciated that honesty. He then emailed a complete estimate showing all work to be done. Brian and his team were efficient and professional. They power washed the exterior one day and then took two days to complete the sanding/preparation and painting. At the end of each day the place was left neat and orderly and was left clean at the end of the job. We are quite happy with the results and feel that the price was quite fair for the work that was done. We are happy enough that we are asking Brian to do some additional painting indoors.

Brian and his helper did a fantastic and timely job and were thoroughly professional. A real pleasure to work with.

Brian Stock was punctual and completed the job on time. He returned phone calls promptly throughout the job and I mailed him a check when the job was complete. I flew down to Monterrey a week later to show the property to prospective tenants and discovered paint all over the kitchen counters, floor, hood above the stove and globs of paint in the kitchen sink. One of the bathrooms, which was not painted, was also apparently used as a cleaning station for their equipment. There was paint all over the sink counter, the towel rack, the floor and the sink was also clogged with globs of paint. I spent 3 hours cleaning the bathroom and kitchen. To make matter worse, when I went to test the dryer, which tested fine when the previous tenants moved out a week earlier, it did not work. Upon investigation with an electrician, it was discovered the wires had been pulled out of the connector in the back of the dryer. It was also apparent based on how incomplete the wall was painted behind the dryer that they probably tilted the dryer forward and let it hang by the cord in order to try to paint a fraction of the wall behind it. The dryer was also covered in paint on its front and side. It was $198 to have the dryer repaired. If they had trouble moving the dryer, they should have called. I phoned Brian and left a message about both these issues 5 days ago and have yet to hear back from him. Lesson learned: NEVER PAY FOR WORK WITHOUT INSPECTING THE WORK FIRST.

I called Brian because of the good reviews on Angie's List. He came promptly to give us an estimate and spent time discussing what we wanted. We felt his estimate was fair for our large house and he quickly set up a schedule to start the work. Brian and his crew were efficient and courteous. They all did an excellent job and we are very happy with the results. I highly recommend his company!

Brian was responsive from the outset when I left a message to set up an appointment for an estimate and neglected to give my telephone number. Bu he had the address and showed up shortly after the call. The work was done well and efficiently and the one spot that was missed (a door casing( was quickly taken care of. I will hire Brain again when I need exterior or interior painting done.

The whole process from start to finish was stress free. Especially since it was a rental property and I lived near Sacramento. Brian kept me informed throughout the process and text me pictures of their progress. Brian and his team was very professional, easy to communicate concerns and ideas, and very responsive to my needs. The price was very reasonable considering I had a house, detached garage, front and rear deck, front and rear retaining wall, and some termite damage. I would highly recommend his services to all. Brian and his team did a fantastic job! They were punctual and thorough in their work. They first pressure washed the entire exterior, then applied rusoleum to nails that needed it. Some of the wood siding and trim had recently been replaced so they thoroughly caulked around all the windows and door frames. Excellent prep work! They put two coats of Behr paint (with mildew resistance) on the entire exterior, and added additional coats to the new siding so that you could not tell which parts of the siding were old and which parts were new. They also painted my front door and when they noticed a couple screws missing on the bottom plate, just fixed it for me. They also caulked in around siding seams that needed a little extra -- very thorough in what they were doing. The trim work was extensive and they did an outstanding job on it! It turned out beautiful! I was concerned that the initial color they started to put on the trim was lighter than I had hoped, and without hesitating they found another color that was a perfect compliment. Brian is very, very professional and truly wanted me to be pleased with the end result. He was always easy to reach by phone or would call me back within a reasonable time. Brian is professional, communicative, and thorough. His price was reasonable and fair. All the guys on his crew were friendly and easy going and explained how things were going each day. I highly recommend him and will use him for any future painting projects I have.

They were very thorough. They were cordial and helpful. They entertained my request to wash and get all the spider webs away. I was satisfied and pleased with the job that they did. They were very professional. The day they were going to work it was going to rain and they came back the next day at my request. I would use them again in the future.

I took bids from 3 painters and Brian was by far the most professional of the 3. My house hadn't been painted for over 10 years, so there was a lot of prep work. Everything was done quickly and professionally. Work was done in a week and I am very happy with the quality. I even swapped out my front door after he had finsihed and he came back and prep'd and painted the entryway as part of the original job. I couldn't be happier and I recommend Brian to anyone who needs painting services.

It was a pleasure to work with this company. Brian responded to my request for an estimate immediately, and we continued communication either through email or phone. He always answered questions and provided information in a timely manner. He and his workers took pains to protect my garden and the tiles on my roof, and they kept to an agreed-upon timetable. When rain halted their work, they left their equipment neatly stacked until they returned. The quality of their work was outstanding, and the house looks beautiful!

His crew came and they did quite good work. They painted the entire interior of my house. They were pretty clean and took care of the place. They did good work so far and they came back and did touch ups.

Brian was very responsive to request for a bid, and very patient while I researched the market and circled round back to him. He appears to be a one-mad operation but when he arrived on the day he had a great team with him I was really surprised how quick they were able to paint both the interior and exterior and they did it well. There was in fact a lot of smoke damage from the previous tenants candles/incense whatever and Brian said it took a lot more coats than he thought to get it looking good but he did not let that affect the price at all. Once the job was done he did a walk through with me and saw more things than I did that needed a little touching up and had that done within a day. I also had gutters replaced after the fact and he sent one of his guys around to touch up some bits here and there. The thing I liked the most about Brian was the fact that he did the bid with me and was there getting his hands dirty on the day. I've had so much experience lately of dealing with the head of a company who is gracious and patient, and then the send the boy around and there seems to be little or no connection between them and the person who first contacted. On another property I opted for an expensive reputable company and was wooed by the owner who talked me through the bid, but I never saw them again, he had a couple of guys deal with the work who could have been anybody. Not the case with Brian. I will def use him again.

I feel that Brian Stock and his painting crew did an excellent job on painting the exterior of our home. They were always on time in starting work and finishing the job. Brian was very easy to talk with regarding the project and he remained flexible to respond to minor requests from us. They kept our home site clean throughtout the duration of the project and did a final cleaning upon leaving. They protected our plants and other assets from any over-spray. They were friendly and responsive to our needs. Brian saw that the project was completed on time and that it came in at the project estimate.

Brian was punctual, professional, friendly and reasonably priced. He was a pleasure to deal with and the house looked great when he finished. The work was neat and they cleaned up well. Initially I was very pleased, but now that I've had a chance to more carefully inspect the work, I'm not sure he did everything I contracted for. This may have been a communication problem on my part, so my caution is to be very specific about expectations and watch what is done. I was not present at the time he did the work, so I could not observe the work in progress. He said he would powerwash the house, prime it and apply 2 coats of paint. My subsequent observations indicate that he applied only one coat of primer/paint combination. There are several places where the old color shows through. I find it hard to believe that if 2 coats were actually applied that they would have missed the exact same spots both times. In addition, the deck did not appear to have been powerwashed at all. I would use Brian again, but would want to be present to insure that everything that was contracted for was done.

He arrived early and got the work done in two and a half days. Painting and caulking was nicely done, with attention to detail. He noticed flaws in the exterior I hadn't seen, sunk protruding nails, smoothed cracks, etc. Only drawback was a little poor communication at the beginning. Very friendly thereafter. His painting assistant, Luca, is also a carpenter and repaired a fascia segment with dry rot, and made several repairs to the front fence, for an additional $30/hr. He later came back to clean and paint the fence. Happy with the service and the house looks great.

Brian Stock and Jamie were on the job every day for five days. They finished the portion we had originally asked for in 4 days and we were so pleased, my husband and I hired them to repair and paint the trim, door and windows on an upper deck on the 5th day, In the past, we have had problems with contractors not showing up as agreed or providing estimates out of line with the work. Brian was the perfect contractor. Prompt, knowledgeable, efficient, skilled and affordable. I am so glad I joined Angie's list and found him. Thanks!

This provider was recommended by a contractor. I dealt with the provider subsequently. He was prompt and professional. The job was completed on time and professionally done. I am very happy with the result. The job was bid rather than estimated. He performed tasks that were not evident when he made the bid, with no additional charge, which I would have paid, happily.
