Excellent. As expected, because we have used Brian's services several times in the last five years for interior and exterior painting work. Our dog remembered Steve from the last job and was happy once again to have a friendly painter on the premises. Might be related to the dog treats. Brian responded quickly to my call, performed a walk-through and estimate and set up days for the work. His team was punctual, professional, efficient, and collaborated well together. I really appreciate Brian's communication: he listens, he repeats, he asks questions, he recommends, and updates his clients during the job. I felt informed 100% of the way through the entire process.

All the work was completed in a timely manner and looks great. We would heartily recommended Brian and his team for painting exterior and/or interior. They were very neat and the outcome is better than we hoped it would be. They made sure everything was completed to our satisfaction as well. Could not be happier and would recommend them for any painting needs.

The house had not been painted for many years. Hard to know because we bought the house about 7 months ago. The house really need new paint, and there were a lot of wires etc. that had been attached to the house since it was painted last. Some trim had been painted before, but some was applied with different colors. The painters fixed all small imperfections in the siding and on the beams and rust proofed all rusty nails. In addition all outside lamps were removed before painting and we had bought 6 new fixtures which they mounted. All garden furniture, potted plants, BBQ and small plastic storage sheds were moved away from the house before work begun and an awning was removed, pressure washed and then put back up after all painting was finished. All decks, ground and bushes were thoroughly covered before painting, avoiding any "spill". The newly re-paneled chimney was also primed and painted. We used a light blue base color for all the walls, a darker blueish trim around all windows, white around the entrance door and one of the sliding doors, plus a very dark red color on the double entrance door. The appearance of the house, all trim, doors and windows came out truly marvelous. The work was finished in three days. Start to completion. Definitely faster than I had hoped for. A total of three painters were involved in the work, although all three didn't need to be here whole time. The painters were all local; were here on time in the mornings; worked all day and were extremely pleasant, helpful and easy to talk to and work with. Brian had a good sense of color combinations and gave us a lot of good advice. I would strongly advice using Brian's services and would definitely use Brian again. Brian and his outfit are thoroughly professional; a no-nonsense outfit.

We requested a bid from Brian and he came to the house the next day to talk with us. He provided a bid within 24 hours. We felt his bid was very competitive and we found him to be attentive to the small details that were needed. Brian and his crew showed up on time. Brian was not there all the time but he closely supervised the job and his crew. His crew knew exactly what to do, they were easy to work with and were very responsible. He had 2 crew members working there at all times. Brian was always available if we had a question: he was very responsive. They did a great job. The house looks great! We are totally happy with Brian, his crew and their work. We would definitely recommend Brian Stock Painting.

Choices can be hard. After putting up a sample patch of the color I had chosen, neither Brian or I thought was right. Brian spent a lot of time going over color options and then as we drove around town, he matched paint color cards to colors I liked. He painted two more samples on the garage door and the choice was evident. (He did this while his crew was busy prepping he house.) Then my new garage door was installed and the crew suggested not painting it. It added the perfect third color as it was. Great suggestion! The whole job from start to finish took five days. Everything was handled well. Great crew, good communication, beautiful house!

The team arrived on the date and time agreed upon. They were very professional, competent and congenial. The project started on a Monday morning and was completed the following Friday morning. At the end of each day, the workers placed all tools and materials in a secluded area, and cleaned up all debris connected with the day?s activities. Before they left, I did a final inspection. I gave it a ?thumbs up.? I am very pleased with Brian?s work

When talking to Brian on the phone, he indicated that he and another worker would be out to do the work. When Brian arrived, he indicated that his worker would be doing the work and that he had to go to another place to do the same type of work which was being conducted at our residents. His worker did the pressure wash,but was told that he had to do the patio, so he had to come back the next day to do that job, because he was not told to do so. He did some sanding,yet it was very lite with little effort on the windows. His painting was fine at the time, except after he had finished the job and the windows in the living room,kitchen and the second bed room were shut to the point where you had to apply extreme physical force to get them open. A call was made to Brain about the situation after he was paid and yet there was no return call. I had to work on the windows a few days later which caused some of the paint to come off. Proper prepping would of helped. The screen doors in the kitchen had to be sanded do to the fact of excessive paint build up on the bottom of the screen doors. My view is that if you pay someone $2350.00 to do a job, it is not the responsibility of the owner to fix the mistakes. A job is a job so therefore it must be done in a professional manner with no excuses. Weigh your priorities and not take on to many jobs which can only be done half professional manner.

I'd like to thank Brian, Steve, and the rest of the crew for doing such a great job inside and out! This 1920's house was in terrible shape, having taken a beating inside and out from previous renters, with multiple broken pieces of siding on the outside and odd holes on the inside. Frankly, I was glad this house didn't scare him off as the bulk of his work is more upscale. During the estimate, Brian gave practical advice on other problems he noticed. I can't tell you how helpful this company is---there was professionalism across the board with the owner and crew through out the project. Brian kept me posted and was responsive. He actively manages his crew, checking the site quite a bit. As this is the cell phone era, you don't always see that. He does what he says, and does it well. Like another poster, I did not use the Angie's coupon because Brian's bid was competitive already and the piece of mind I had working with him---immeasurable! They finished quickly as they knew this rental supports a retired couple. Thanks again, Brian, for taking a beat up old house and transforming it into a charming beach house! I would work definitely work with this company again., and would be comfortable referring them to friends and family.

Brian returned my call right away and we made and appointment to meet. He was right on time and it was a pleasure to meet him. He gave me two quotes, one for the condo and one for the 2 bathrooms and kitchen cabinets. We decided to have everything done. Everything turned out great! He came back and did a little paint clean up that I mentioned. His work, response and personality were great. I would use him again.

Mr. Stock was prompt and cordial. But after that its as if we fell off the map. He never got back with us to submit a bid, and left us hanging without contact. I honestly don't know what happened; if he didn't want the work I would have understood that. Big house, and we need both the entire interior and the exterior painted. I just feel it was very unprofessional to leave us hanging without an explanation. However - as oft things do - it worked out in our favor. We have hired Jewart Painting in Monterey, and the only thing better than their price is their work.

Every thing they did they did well, they are easy to work with and the people that did the painting was a lot of fun, very jolly and we had a good time.

Brian replied promptly by email to set up an appointment, but said he would not be available until September for service. Unfortunately, after playing phone tag, he realized that I was out of his service area. We are in Monterey county and only 15 minutes from downtown Monterey where he prefers to take jobs, but he said it was too far for him. Too bad.

What a pleasure it was to work with Brian and his team. Brian was very on top of the house painting from the get-go. He communicated with us regarding all the steps involved and was very considerate when he needed to enter our personal space. After a sad experience with a general contractor, it was a relief to work with someone with such a great work ethic. Brian charges reasonable prices, has a stellar reputation on this site (for good reason), and made the extra effort to keep us happy. I'm sure that we'll be seeking his services again. Be sure that you let Brian know if you end up with an Angie's List coupon so that you and he are on the same page from the get-go.

I believe it took a day and a halp. The price was reasonable and done in a timely fashion.

The bid was on the lower end of the bids received, however the quality of work was superior. Brian was easy to work with and was very concerned that i was happy with the job. He was flexible, and offer his suggestions and opinions as appropriate. He was on the job site often to supervise and contribute. His crew was great and left the job site tidy each evening. The value for the service was very good, I would not hesitate to use him for another project.

Interior Paint: The work was such high quality and his crew and Brian were so professional and such a pleasure to work with, we expanded the project while they were working on our contracted service and he still finished on time. Brian and his crew made helpful suggestions for color, trim, accents, etc. to improve the project and their finished work exceeded my expectations. The crew did not leave a mess any of they days there worked in our home and were conscientious about our furnishings and pets. We couldn't be happier with the service. Several friends have asked for Brian's contact information after visiting our newly painted home. Exterior Paint: We hired Brian to paint exterior of our home and his team again made great suggestions for color, trim and accents. We also had him paint the red brick fireplace in our living room a light greige color and it turned out fantastic. I trust his judgement and when I ask for color/paint advice, I take it. They painted our stucco home, metalwork on our patio, chimney, and metal fittings throughout. Update: My brother-n-law hired Brian to paint the exterior and interior of their new home in Skyline and were very happy with the service. Update: My sister-n-law hired Brian to paint her rental home and two guest houses in Monterey.

Brian was great to talk too, punctual to appointment, but never followed up with a bid! Waited for a week, then finally found someone else.
