We highly recommend Lillywhite. They did a great job start to finish. They were always very responsive and pleasant. Every call was either answered immediately or quickly returned. Any issue we had was handled quickly and professionally. They are a family operation and take great pride in the work they preform. Debora had some suggestions which we incorporated into the design. We are very happy with the results and our choice of Lillywhite.

Lillywhite's estimate was not the cheapest or the most expensive, but they provided a customized, high-quality product that my family is extremely happy with. Experience: Demolition: On time, fast, thorough and clean. Stone and tile installer: Natural stone expertly installed with ceramic tile surround look beautiful. Trenching: Yes, this was a hiccup in time/expense as trenching of the gas/electric was delayed due to our clay-like backyard. PAINFUL but finally the job was completed to our satisfaction. Plastering: Started the job in the morning and had the entire pool and spa plastered that same day. Deborah and Larry worked closely with the crew throughout the process and kept us informed. Start-Up Process: Expertly performed for 30-days including multiple acid washes, brush-downs and water testing. Thanks for spoiling us JAY! Great job Lillywhite!!

I called Debra on a Monday and asked if she could come out on Tuesday morning. She was pleas ant and nice to talk to. She came out on Tuesday morning. We discussed what we wanted. She took measurements and gave me a complete estimate on the spot. I really appreciated how quick she was able to come to our home and give us an estimate - Same day! I called several other companies in the area, one didn't show at all, one came and told me that he wouldn't use the tile that I had selected - basically he wanted me to select a "cheap" tile from a book he brought along to keep the cost down. He also said he wouldn't be able to replace old redwood expansion joints --- or do the "start up" ---- I was told that I would receive an estimate next day --- and no estimate was given - waited 8 days before I called then and asked why I hadn't received an estimate. This was one of many reason's why I was not comfortable with THIS other company. Debra was so easy to talk to and was willing to use the tile I wanted and had some really great suggestions for some plaster choices -- we went with Grenadine Gray Quartz ----- which I LOVE!!!! .... Thanks Debra and Crew for supporting this choice. The Lillywhite crew was AMAZING --- they took their job seriously and they all worked together very well. We had an hardscape artist do our coping and tile --- he looked over EVERY brick ---- and made a careful decision to see if the brick passed the perfection TEST --- and the layout was difficult because my husband wanted expansion joints in places that put the crew to the test... and it came out PERFECT!!!!..... we couldn't be happier. They cleaned up every day --- and were so polite. This company is a family company with crew "like family" --- they are a well oiled happy team ---- and they enjoyed working with one another. Jay did our start up and when my husband checked the water today it was "right on the money" ---- Thanks JAY!!!!!.... You can have absolute confidence in this company --- don't hesitate to use Lillywhite ---- you won't be disappointed. They want every customer to be happy and really care about the quality of their work. They want to make it RIGHT for you. What a relief that we used this company --- even my husband who worked in construction said .. Lillywhite Pool Plastering: A positive experience. I highly recommend them. Deborah provided an estimate the day the pool was inspected. I received estimates from three other contractors. Lillywhite's estimate was not the cheapest nor the most expensive. Within the first two work days after the pool was drained the tile and plaster were demolished. Over the course of the following five work days all tiling and plastering work was performed. The pool and spa were filled and start up commenced. Lillywhite Pool Plastering's Subcontractors: The Demolition Crew: On time, fast, thorough and clean. The Stone Cleaner: Had the job done in one afternoon. Made quick work of the heavy calcium build-up on the pool's waterfall and areas of coping. Cleaned the work area. The tile installer: Exquisite work and attention to detail. He worked with us on the layout of the decorative tiles and the BBQ island. He turned a good quality tile into a job that looks like a million. I've seen a lot of tile jobs and the sub Lilywhite used is really, really good. He had a particularly challenging job given that one tile component that was to be used was defective and could not be installed. He worked around the issue and it looks great. He cleaned the work area each day before leaving the site. The Plasterer: Started the job in the morning and had the entire pool and spa plastered by the early evening. A small crew returned the following day to acid wash the surface. They left the job site clean. Deborah, her husband and son worked closely with the trades throughout the process and kept us informed. The subcontractor sequencing was perfect. At no point were trades working on top of each other. The start up process is just about finished and everything looks great. Thank you Lillywhite!!

Deborah and family are wonderful people to work with, its more like dealing with friends than a contractor. They are really friendly, responsible and very kind. They repaired my mother's pool and I will be having them fix my pebble-tek pool in the not too distance future.

Deborah Lillywhite was easy to work with and responded to all. We had a problem with not understanding our electric needs - this was a miscommunication but was resolved.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Lillywhite family. Their request for a quote was very responsive--they took the most accurate measurements of our pool deck, and as such, had a very competitive, and accurate quote. They were available earlier than originally planned, which was great for prepping the pool for the summer season, matched our pool deck impeccably, and the quality of the workmanship was outstanding. Not only that, they set out a long-term maintenance plan and didn't try to sell us more services than we needed at this time. People--Great!!!! Workmanship---Great!!! Price competitiveness--Great!!!!! Can recommend Lillywhite for replacing mastic in a pool to anyone!

I wrote a review on April 26, 2014 and stand by that review. This review is solely based on the start-up service I paid for through Lillywhite. I would recommend to future reviewers, wait until everything is completed before submitting a review. When David and Daniel sold me their Start Up Service they explained a 28 day process with twice daily brushing the first week and once daily brushing for the remaining 21 days, along with monitoring the chemicals etc. I asked about the cost effectiveness of coming in from Orange County (an hour or more away) to perform this service everyday, they explained they had "someone in the area" to perform the service. They stressed the the importance of the brushings the first 28 days, for the smoothness of the new plaster. Well, they plastered on a Thursday, it took all of Thursday and most of Friday to fill the pool. Deborah called on Saturday and told me to expect "Hector" on Sunday, Hector was a no-show, I called Deborah and she had her son show up late Sunday, so only one brushing got done that day. On Monday I received a call from Hector, informing me he would be coming from Santa Ana, a good hour plus away, to do the service! I texted Deborah as to wether Hector would be making this trip twice daily for the first week and once daily there after from Santa Ana. Deborah texted me back, told me her son would be doing the work and I was mistaken, as they would be coming only once a day for the first 5 days and once a week thereafter! She said they follow National Plaster Council guidelines, I went online and pulled up the guidelines and found Deborah is the one whom is mistaken. ( go online and see for yourself) I paid $500 for 28 days of service and received 8 days of service! I want others to learn from my mistake, make sure you have Lillywhite write down in detail the service they will perform, if you choose to buy this service from them, my contract only said "Start Up". It was a hard pill to swallow! I have yet to swim in my pool, as my heater isn't working so I can't comment on the smoothness of the plaster. I will submit another review after I have a chance to get in.

We got 5 quotes to replaster our pool. Most bids were close so we chose the one we felt most comfortable with. Deborah came out for an estimate and suggested trim tile to accent the steps. This kept us within budget without springing extra for a pebble finish. Not only did they accent the steps, they went around the entire seat of the spa. It really turned out beautifully! They are very professional, personable, and punctual. They were actually able to fit us in before our contractual start date. We really appreciated this because our pool was in really bad shape. We also signed up for the start up through them. We will also be replacing our heater due to the positive experience.

Having dealt with several unscrupulous contractors over the years, I was even a bit skeptical of the business's on Angie's List. I needed my pool re-plastered and didn't look forward to the experience. After reading the glowing reviews of Lillywhite Pool Plastering, I took the leap of faith! I called Deborah and scheduled an appointment, she was unable to come out on the day I was available, so she sent her 2 son's, David and Daniel, instead. Being that they were coming from Orange County, I expected them to show up late, to my surprise and delight, they were early! Both son's were very courteous and professional as well as knowledgeable of their business, all of my questions were answered without hesitation and they didn't try to push me to buy services I didn't want. Early, professional, knowledgeable, no pushy sales tactics.......I was sold! I received other quotes and found the all pretty much the same price. I was given an approximate start date a couple of weeks out, Deborah updated me, via email, as the date approached. She told me they were on schedule and would start the job on 4/21/14 @ 8:00 a.m. once again her crew showed up early! They work got right to work, creating a ton of dust. Deborah showed up during the day to make sure any questions I had were answered. They had the pool all prep'd and ready for the new plaster, by the end of the day. By the time the crew left, I was shocked to find the backyard cleaned, I could hardly tell the yard was earlier, a dust bowl. The next day was tile cleaning day.Deborah called to let me know the arrival time of the tile cleaning crew. My tile was atrocious, stained, dirty, with severe calcium buildup . By the time I returned home from work, the tile was gorgeous. It truly looked like brand new tile, I had forgotten what color the tile had been. Needless to say I was a happy man. The next day nothing was done, to let the pre plaster material's cure. Deborah called to let me know the next day would be plaster day. I was very concerned as wind was expected and I have a tree next door that litters badly in the wind. Apparently Deborah controls the weather, ha ha, as the wind was calm that day! I arrived home to a beautiful white swimming pool. Never in my wildest dreams did I think the process of getting this job done would go so smoothly! A 20,000 gallon pool done, start to finish in 4 days.The pool is now filled and looks brand new! Lillywhite Pool Plastering is the real deal! The glowing reviews are earned and well deservedI would highly recommend their services to anyone.

Deborah gave me an estimate after visiting the home. The big was far less than the other competitive bids we received. I checked references - gave her the job and pool work was completed on time and perfectly.

.Lillywhite (a family owned company) was a great company to work with. Although not the cheapest company, well worth the little extra for the quality of work performed and the confidence that the owners had our best interest at heart. They wanted to make sure that we were totally happy with the job and the end result (which we were). All timelines were met, their crews were professional, courteous, friendly, and polite. At the end of each day, they did a total clean up of the area. They used high quality materials, took pride in their work, and extra care to see that the work was done to perfection. Communication was constant, they were there for recommendations, suggestioons, and answered questions immediately. They were always available to discuss progress and next steps. There was a member of the Lillywhite family on the site at all times as well as a crew chief to monitor the job and the crews. We would not hesitate to recommend Lillywhite to our friends and family. In the end I chose another contractor but her company is my backup plan if things go bad.

Our pool was 26 years old and in bad shape.Horizontal cracks in cantilevered deck and plaster was extremely discolored.Our Grass was all dead surrounding pool and entire back yard.I called several(3) pool contractors and got a lot of baloney and false information and no shows over the phone.Being an ex mason & concrete contractor,I know what these people were talking about.I called LILLYWHITE and Deborah came out the next day.She gave me a price for plaster and tile removal,re-plaster and new tile,and coping.She had their concrete contractor come out the next day.The concrete(deck) man was Larry Bounds of CLEANLINE LANDSCAPE( acleanlineco@aol.com).Larry gave us an excellent price for deck tear out and new deck.PLUS,he was a licensed landscape contractor also.We ended up with pool,deck,& landscape all in one neat package !!Work started the next day with draining the pool.Estimated completion time was 10-13 days.The employees worked their butts off,were pleasant and knowledgeable and cleaned up every day at quitting time.Everytime I had a question,Deborah or Larry could answer it,much to my satisfaction.Every phase of the job went as planned and on time.We lost 2 days work time due to extremely high winds then rain.The landscapers got the sod in 30 minutes before the second rain came.As soon as the pool was filled,I paid extra to have Lillywhite's pool start up man,Hector,brush & add chemicals properly.This is a 28 day service where the pool is monitored,new plaster is brushed ,vacuumed,and chemicals added.An excellent service. Remodeling a pool can be a lot of work.Our first pool took 28 days to complete.Nothing but problems.This time,the job was easy and stress free thanks to LILLYWHITE POOL PLASTERING.They know what they are doing and they stand behind their word and guarantee their work.I would highly recommend them for your pool needs.All in all,this was a great experience to work with LILLYWHITE.

All went very smoothly from the first day I contacted Lillywhite through completion of the 28 day start-up. Deborah was very professional and detailed in the proposal process and also very responsive on all follow-up questions, and arranged visits to similar completed job sites. Other vendors did not come close to anything like this. Scott and Deborah came to my home the night before demolition to make sure all was set to start the job the next day. Execution was flawless and the replastering team was exactly that. A real team. The end product is a real beauty. Then came the start-up team. This is a service that I believe is unique to Lillywhite as all other proposals I got were just one week start-up. Lillywhite has a 28 day process after the plastering. They come twice a day for the first four days and then once a week until the 28 day finish. Jay is "the man". Very pleasent and friendly, but above all super knowledgeable and spent many hours vacuuming, brushing and making sure the chemicals were perfectly balanced. This process is critical and was the real selling point for me when I selected this vendor. Knowing that Lillywhite would make sure everything was perfect for a whole month after replastering was very important for me, and they definitely did not disappoint. I will recommend Lillywhite to all my friends.

Working with Lillywhite was a great experience. Everyone was punctual, pleasant and well-informed. Work was done on time and to perfection. Deborah even went to a tile store with us and helped us select the tile for our pool. There was a little glitch in the job toward the end and it was taken care of instantly to our complete satisfaction. This company has great people working working for it. The job they did was superb. We were very pleased wth the result.

They were very professional and courteous. Not pushy. They gave us options and tried to meet our request of doing just what was necessary to get pool back in shape. They returned calls in a timely manner and called the occupant before arriving to the house. Our only regret was that we did not think about installing a handrail at the shallow end for the steps, and that we did not update the skimmer area. They did a wonderful job and the pool looks beautiful. We are very happy with the work they did.

Called in and spoke to Debra. Made a appt with her for a estimate/bid. Debra & her son showed up on time & were extremely pleasant and civilized to deal with. They were technically very informative. My estimate was not rushed and everything was made very clear and up front with me. The demolition team showed up early and were ready to go right on time. The demolition team worked in a fast professional manner. They completed their job in about 4-5 hours. I did not have to say anything to them except goodmorning! And when they were finished the only way you ever knew they were there was looking at the completed work. (demo began on a Friday). The following Monday morning the tile man (Roberto) showed up on time and began the tile work. He also took care of the coping, mastic and rail installs/repairs along with the coping regrout which made the outer appearance look nice again. Roberto's work was very nice! You could tell he was no rookie & his work was clean and done in a uniformed manner. It took him about a day and a half to complete his portion of the work. And once again everything was cleaned up perfectly. While the tile was being installed I had misunderstood something about the tile design and called Debra up and explained to her that I was very concerned about this matter that ended up being my fault for misunderstanding. Debra remained cool, calm, professional and pleasant with me on the phone even though I was being short with her (I applaud her for this). Her reply to me was " I will do whatever it takes to make you happy" And my concerns regarding the tile ended up not even being valid and she handled me like a true professional should! The re plaster team showed up on time & everything went very well. They took great care to protect all the tile work etc. They removed any excess plaster from my decking, coping and tile. Again clean up was very thorough and you could never tell they had been there. For the quality of the work & amount of performed I received excellent value for my money. My overall experience with Lillywhite was very enjoyable & pleasant. I would definitely use them again if needed. I needed to upgrade my pool when we decided to sell our house. We got competing bids from two companies we found on Angie's List and our pool service provider. Lilywhite's quote was the middle price but I was very impressed with Deborah, she was the one who walked the job and gave us the bid. I have done construction management for over 20 years as a chief engineer in high rise buildings so you get a good feel for a contractors willingness to be accountable even if things don't go their way. We decided not to do the pool and instead put the money into other upgrades in the house, but our realtor talked us into doing the pool instead. That meant doing the pool while showing the home, not the best idea. But it actually went better than I thought it would. The workers cleaned up every day, they didn't play loud music, they didn't swear or yell or any of the stuff I was use the dealing with. Long story short the pool came out great and onetime.

They drained out pool with a pump and a hose out to the street, because we had had a problem with the deck drains. Their crews were excellent from those who jackhammered out the old plaster to the crew that did the tile and replastered. They team that did the jackhammering was also on an extremely hot day. They left everything clean at end of each day. Deborah and I communicated daily via text message through out the process, which worked very effectively. Scott came by several times during the process to check how things were going and to be sure we were happy. Deborah was very helpful in getting tiles samples for us to select. I gave them a B on punctuality because the completion date got pushed back about a week due to some other projects. For the overall project this was not a big deal. They also recommended Chris Smith's Pool Service to do the start-up process for filling the pool. We were so pleased with Chris that we now having him doing on-going maintenance and he is replacing our pool equipment, as well. We are so pleased with how the pool looks and how smooth the finish it now. I would definently rehire and highly recommend them. They were wonderful to work with.

We hired Lily White because we really like Debroah the owner -- she seemed very professional. At first she was very responsive and gave a good quote for replaster and tile very quickly. Then once we decided to do the work, she took forever to respond and sometimes not at all. She had good reviews, so we decided to stick with her...once we got her on the phone we were asked tons of questions about the process - which she answered and also let her know our expectations about the project and some very important details like; not to drain the pool through our sewer main line because we had a known break near the street and didn't want any future problems draining the entire pool water this way. She assured us that she could do it with a hose that would reach the street. The day the pool was emptied, I came home from work to 80% of the pool being drained ....not through the street as we had discussed several times, but through the SEWER line! I tuned off the pump, called her immediately, she apologized saying her guys would drain the rest to the street not the sewer. Well, the next day, some guys came to drain the 20% remainder of the water from the pool. I was leaving for work and didn't see any hose to the street. When I went to the back yard, they were draining into our cleanout... yet again through the sewer!!! W**? There was no excuse for this. Debroah, apologized and said that she had communicated the instructions to her crew. Yet...they didn't listen? So, I gave Lily White one more chance...Deborah drove over that night to drain the pool to street herself. When we got home, the entire side of the house was wet near out foundation. The hose had multiple holes in it and wasn't connecting properly...and water was everywhere near the house where it should not have been. I unplugged the hose. 3 strikes....and she couldn't even get the first step right. I was concerned about the future of the project and lack of communication with her crew and lack of oversight. Even though we fired them from the job after these negligible incidents (and it set our plaster schedule back 3 weeks this Summer as we had to find a new company) I will say that Deborah maintained professionalism the entire time and admitted the fault, which was good business practice. So that is why I give them a" D" instead of an F.

I highly recommend this company. The pool inspection was completed for a potential homeowner as part of the inspection clause in a real estate contract. Due to the timeframe in the contract, the inspection had to be completed quickly. They understood and accomodated us. They arranged to meet us after business hours on the same day the inspection was requested. They did a thorough inspection and gave a detailed report on the condition of the pool and equipment. There was no pressure to do any work immediately. Rather, suggestions and pricing were given on items that may need repairing or replacing sometime in the future. The pricing was very fair.

When I first called for an estimate, Debra came out the same day. I was surprised and pleased that she could do it so soon. She measured the pool and spa area, commented nicely on our landscaping, and gave me an estimate for the job. She also left me brochures to look at. I told her I would talk it over with my husband but that I was very interested. i called back in the next few days and told her we wanted to go ahead with it, but that I felt i might need help choosing the tile for the pool. She offered to meet me at the showroom and help us. We met the following week, chose tile, signed the contract and paid the deposit. She was very helpful. We chose some beautiful cobalt tile with occasional dolphin tiles and a dolphin at the bottom of our pool She also found out about the special lighting that we requested.. Work was supposed to begin about two weeks later. They had to delay it for a day or two, but it was no problem for us. The workers were efficient and fast. They completed the job in less than a week. It was all done beautifully. Debra came out several times to make sure it was going well. They did a lovely job, quickly and efficiently, and were very easy to work with. I highly recommend them.
