Landscape Locators

I scheduled service with this "provider" - it seems that this is nothing more than a referral service, with a hefty markup. Andrew is a smooth talker, but when it comes to delivering, that's a different story. He claimed I could relay my requests through him for my gardening service, but when put to the test, he folded. I had clearly communicated my expectations and requests via email, but he didn't get back to me (as a new client, by the way) until after the scheduled service, and by then the actual gardening crew "forgot" to show up as scheduled. Aside from that, Andrew was fearful of my expectations, and was nervous that I would have higher expectations of his service than of my prior gardeners - even when Andrew's price was 60% higher. He ended up declining my service, claiming it wasn't a good "fit". So if you don't expect much of your gardening service (for a premium price), then this provider may be a good "fit". Otherwise, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Landscape Locators has been wonderful to work with. Andrew is very personable and professional. We look forward to using them again in the future.

I contacted Landscape Locators by phone. They promptly returned my call and explained their service then quoted my job based on looking at my property on Google Maps. The landscaper they sent is very punctual and does excellent work, which now includes trimming my palm trees and repairing my irrigation system, I just need to call the central phone number and arrange what I want done, then the service is scheduled, and I receive follow up emails when it is complete. All of the services are billed to a credit card. It couldn't be easier and I couldn't be happier with Landscape Locators. I'm now looking at more projects around the yard that I have been putting off. Highly recommended!!!

Landscape Locators was most helpful in matching our home renovation needs with the perfect landscape-hardscape company. They carefully listened to our project expectations and timelines, and then found the right people to complete the job with quality craftsmanship. The overall results of the landscape-hardscape were superb. Without reservation, we would use their service again.

I hired these guys to do general weekly yard maintenance. When I called, I spoke with Kevin, who was punctual with his return calls and looked at my house immediately and gave me a quote. He said if I was unhappy at all with the work, I could contact him and he would send new guys over to do the job (he has access to tons of people who do the work). So far they have been doing the yard for about 6 weeks and I have been happy with the work. The last guys I had hired (different company), were never consistent on the day they came, never answered my calls and were generally not that communicative - like they didn't care if I kept them around or not. So far so good. I will update after a few more months. UPDATE: It is 2 months after my last review and I am still very happy with the work. Kevin still responds to my emails within the same day and answers all of my questions. The work is good and I don't have any complaints. I plan to contact them for some larger yard projects soon as well. UPDATE: I have been using them for over a year and I am happy with the work they do.

They do the job. In the long term, they are good. On a case by case, sometimes they will miss things. I chose them to come on Tuesdays; they still come whenever they want through the week. I don’t mind if they do that, I just want to know.

Kevin was responsive from start to finish. Every step of the way he kept me informed of the process. The working crew did not mess around. They worked hard, removing all old dead grass by hand using pick-axe and other hand tools careful not to damage any existing sprinkler lines. They were methodical about reviewing installation as they went to make sure that the yard was ready. We even delayed installation of the new sod for 2 weeks to allow additional time to spray dirt area for any remaining weeds. The crew was always punctual, respectful and listened to any request that I had and explained the work they were doing along the way. They were very precise in placing of new sprinklers and adjusting existing sprinkler heads to make sure there was proper coverage on the lawn. Kevin was very helpful working within my budget but also insisted on quality- I am pleased that I chose to work with Kevin and his crew. I would highly recommend them.

The workers showed up the next day and completed the work. It looked amazing. I was so happy with their work, I now use them for monthly maintenance.

My gardener stopped coming to my house while I was out of state for 6 months, though still cashing the checks. My house sitter needs their eyes checked because they didn't notice. Needless to say, the yard was an overgrown disaster. The people at Landscape Locators were very helpful on the phone and had someone out in a day for an estimate on cleanup and there to do the work that weekend. Ongoing service will cost the same as I was paying before - $75/month for 2 visits a month. I like that the gardeners they contract with are all citizens paying taxes, speak English, and that if I'm not happy, they will send someone else and I don't have to fire anyone myself. They did a nice job. I'm pleased.

They were great. He did what he said he was going to do and he wasn't really pushy. I have already recommended them to others. They were professional.

We are not quite finished with the project yet. However, from Lisa's standpoint, she returned to us in December with a bid from 4 different contractors and reviewed each line item together with us. She recommended the pros and cons of each contractor but ultimately left the decision up to us. She drew up our contract, contacted our selected Landscape Contractor and started to get the ball rolling. When the contractor came out for a walk thru she assisted us with that and made sure each line item was addressed. Without Landscape Locaters we would never have known which contractor to use and we are extremely pleased with our choice of Swanson Landscaping and Geoff Swanson as our contractor. Lisa and Geoff are always available for questions and discussion and in the end Lisa and Geoff will walk thru the final project together to be sure all is satisfactory.

They were pretty good. They were very cooperative when you asked them to do something. They were reliable. They have a good and fair price. They are very pleasant. They listen to want you want. They will do the work immediately.

The lawn maintenance has been excellent. I would recommend them.

I contacted this company because my gardener had abandoned me. I had a good experience speaking with Landscape Locators but I now pay $60/month instead of $40/month for two visits per and even though the work done is fine I don't think it is worth a 50% increase in cost. I had two other gardeners in the last 10 years and both charged be $40/month so I think that is fair for the work that needs to be done. I also noticed that my gardener is doing my neighbors lawn as well and I doubt they are paying what I am.

They charge $250 per month and they come in every Friday. They provide very good service and they are professional.

Very good, items needing attention were noted immediately in email to me (as requested) with no exageration or price inflation.

As stated, the person from Landscape Locators was professional, drew up very nice plans, brought me a portfolio of contractors, and helped me with the selection process and final pricing. The work performed did not meet any standard. though General Landscaping attempted to fix the many mistakes, their work was sub-standard and pricey. 12-14-12 - I received a call from Kevin, the owner of Landscape Locators after writing my review. Kevin was very concerned about my comments and takes them very seriously. He is contacting the landscaper I used to see if they will address the problems from the work they did. I am happy to see that customer satisfaction is important to Landscape Locators and that they follow through, even two years later, when there are issues. Because of this recent gesture, I would consider using them again. Lesson learned: If you truly want to judge the quality of contractor, you need to go to a job site and see their work. Pictures are not enough. I will do that next time. Landscape locators will do a lot of the ground work for you, but you need to be diligent yourself when selecting the final contractor.

I contacted this provider and found him to be quite rude. I described my yard, explained the services that I wanted and asked for a quote. I was told that my yard wasn't worth the time because it was so small. I have run into this problem before with other contractors when I wanted to have other smaller projects completed around the house. I can understand if you specialize in larger projects, but don't be rude and condescending about it. Not every project that has to be completed needs to cost tens of thousands of dollars.

Regular contact with suggestions to maintain better and longer results.

After hiring a half dozen landscapers I turned to Landscape Locators. They came out same day assessed the yard, listened to what I was looking for, and gave me a price. The gardener started the following week and it's been 4 months and Icouldn't be happier. My yeard looks so much better.

We were looking for a new weekly gardener. We contacted Landscape Locators for a referral. Andrew made an appointment to come by to review our property, discuss our needs and pricing. We also interviewed a few other gardeners who were referred to us by friends and neighbors. We decided to give Landscape Locators a try. Andrew had put all our information into their database so when I contacted their office, Kevin had all the information and was quickly able to make arrangements for a new gardener to start the following week. The new gardener from Lanscape Locators has been to our property twice. He is professional and has done a very nice job.

Anyways, he was going on vacation and would call me when he got back, after which I never heard from him again. I finally researched companies on my own and hired a reputable contractor who did a great job. I am surprised this guy is still in business. My impression is he just wants big budgets and then gives jobs to companies who do major jobs. With so many companies in South Orange County, he services seem redundant.
