Landscape Locators

It was such a pleasure to work with this company. We will definitely be sure to recommend them at every chance we get. We just moved into a home that had a wreck of a backyard, just weeds, dirt, and gopher holes. Including Landscape Locators, we had three landscapers bid the project. First, I spoke with Kevin over the phone. He explained the two sides of their business, asked what we were looking for, and then recommended which side made the most sense based on what our needs and budget were. The first side of their business is to list out the project and solicit bids from several of the over 40 landscape and hardscape contractors they have a relationship with and have fully vetted. This way you don't have to solicit all the contractors yourself. The second side of their business, and the one in which was recommended to us and we therefore used, was to have the landscape and hardscape done by them. Once Kevin told us this is likely the avenue we would take, he had his business partner, Andrew, come out to our house to assess the backyard. Andrew was at our house within a few days and again took the time to explain the business models of the company. He was sure to actually provide recommendations on the backyard style and plants to use (something we did not get from other companies). I appreciated that because I don't believe to know everything about your business, just as you don't know everything about what I do. Recommendations are always welcomed and appreciated. Since Andrew agreed that this was a project for their company to do, he set up an appointment for Jesse to come to the house. Jesse was there within a few days, took measurements, and provided additional recommendations. At no point during Andrew's nor Jesse's meetings did we feel oversold to or pushed by them. They were helpful, answered our questions, and got back to us later if we had additional questions. Within a few more days, we had a bid on the project based on Jesse's measurements and our rough plan. We then scheduled the project out for their next available time, which was three weeks later. In the week before, I spoke with Jesse several times about the products we were going to purchase, where we could go look at pavers, and other questions I had. Jesse and his team worked from early morning until about 5pm for six days straight. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day. They were courteous, hard working, and very professional. Once done, Jesse walked us through everything that was planted, the mechanics of the sprinkler system, and the timeline for actually getting to use our new grass. We could not be more thrilled with the process from beginning to end. We felt that Andrew and Jesse were always there to answer our questions and follow through on their promises. Definitely get a quote from them if you need a project done.

They outsourced the work to other gardeners. I have used him for close to 2 years. He is very good with customer service and responsiveness. If you give him a call it goes to voicemail but he typically gets back to you within day. He is very friendly and professional. I have had a problem with workers he sent out. They were not showing up consistently on those days. He wasn’t aware of it and because I wasn’t home I found out late. I was still paying even though they didn’t come out. He handled it well but over time the quality of the work started to degrade. Four guys will come for like 10 mins and them they leave.

They are a strange bird. The rep. informed me that they actually don't perform the work, but they simply refer local contractors for the jobs you need done. I don't see how this fits within the Angie's List schematic, seeing that the jobs are then performed by contractors who are not listed here.

From the first phone call my experience was great. Andrew knew exactly what I wanted when I explained the job to him. He sourced the right person for the job who turned out to be exceptional. They came at the exact time and performed all work effeciently and finished on the exact date which in my experience NEVER happens with contractors. No excuses, no issues just a great job by a very professional company. I can't say enough about how satisfied I am with the job except that I will use them again for the front yard in the very near future.

They're a company that finds gardeners in the area. I have somebody that comes every Wednesday. Anything I want done, I contact him at Landscape Locators. He calls specific gardeners and then gives me a price. I pay them. I have some plants and trees and things like that which cost me a little bit more. They're great. I did't ask for a specific time. I chose the gardener that I could give a key in case I'm not here. They are definitely trustworthy.

Very friendly and thorough. We ended up scrapping the project altogether.

Susan Vogel showed up, all business and professionalism. We'd never had contractors here, so no idea how landscaping was accomplished. She listened to us, came up with ideas, laid it all out, and then arranged for bids from three trusted landscape artists. It was a great relief to have someone who also cared about what we wanted, and could help up figure out how to turn it into reality. What a great idea! We selected Brian Tran's bid, and it was probably the smartest thing we've done in years. Brian was meticulous, focused, super competent, and had a great team. He oversaw everything himself, made sure that every day the work was structured and inspected. Our yard which had looked like a war zone when Brian showed up was gradually transformed, and after seven weeks of hard work we now have a miraculous fairy garden, with a white gazebo and a beautiful adjoining deck. Susan Vogel laid out a wonderful arrangement of 300 flowers, shrubs and trees - twice! - and oversaw the planting. We could not be happier. I'd fall over myself to recommend Landscape Locators and also Brian's company All-Pro Landscape Construction.

So far they’re doing good. They do a very good job. They’re pretty flexible about planting plants if I want them done and I like that most of all. Some gardeners charge a lot for doing these kinds of things but they don’t seem to use that as an opportunity. If I run into something that I don’t like, then the rating will go down.

They were fantastic. They come once a week. They bill and they sort of subcontract out depending on the services needed. Usually two people come out; one does the grass like mowing, edging and trimming and the other does the trimming of back hedges and rose bushes. They do that on rotating basis. They have been super reliable. I don’t know if they are particularly a great deal for pricing but we have been very happy with the service. We have had them for two and half years.

Great - I had 3 bids and then contractor I selected has been great!

He came out and took a look then he gave me a start date. But he could not start on the date he said he would. He started the next day. He got it all done in one day. He said that the bill will just be sent. I never got a bill from him and I never paid him a dime. He did a good job but he did not leave me any instruction. I had new sprinklers put in and he took one of my faucet out which I did not know he was going to. He put a timer for the sprinklers and don?t even know how to operate the timer. I was thrilled with the timer but I was not thrilled with the faucet that he removed. So, the experience is a combination of happy and sad. The quality of work is good but I am giving him a ?C? because of the effort that he did not do and the faucet that he removed without my knowledge.

Weekly service is provided, they have always done a great job and the house looks great every week.

I spoke with Landscape Locators to get a bid for a small community. While we didnt end up hiring a new landscaper, Landscape Locators was very responsive and put us in touch with a capable landscaper who offered a very competitive price. I gave them a B for professionalism because they werent able to provide us with an actual written proposal. They are a handshake deal type of group. That said, they were punctual and responsive and I would use them again for a personal project.

They charge $70 a month for two times.

Contractor did not show to appointment. Landscape locators explained that the contractor made a mistake and forgot to put our scheduled appointment on his calendar. Andrew with landscape locators was very professional and offered to reschedule our appointment, however we were unable to do so due to other schedule conflicts at the time. We have since moved forward with a new vendor, having scheduled to meet with 3 prior to moving forward with our project.

The job is in progress. One thing Susan promised and delivered on is that the crew would clean up every day. I found 1 crushed water bottle in the past week that did not make the garbage can. I can totally live with that. Thanks to Susan and Brian. Also, this was estimated at being a 1 month job, but after the progress during the first week I can't see it going more then 2 or 2.5 weeks total. FINALLY!!!!!, a contractor that UNDER promised and OVER delivered.

I called them but they had certain price tag. I decided not to use them.

Andrew Strauss was a good communicator in getting the job set up. He always got back to me promptly. I worked directly with Jesse in planning the changes. After discussing our project on site, we met at the wholesale nursery to select plants. He and his team completed all the work in one day. They were extremely courteous, thorough, and competent in completing all the work requested and more. I highly recommend them.

We are very happy to say that our experience with The Landscape Locators was wonderful! Kevin Bussell was great in communicating with us and providing the information for us to move on with our project. Once we discussed with Kevin what we where looking for he set us up with Rosie and her landscaping crew. Rosie arrived at our home to discuss our needs and It didn't take long into our meeting to know that Rosie was awesome. She was able to understand our vision and make recommendations. She is very professional and experienced. Rosie and her crew worked very hard in making our front and back yard beautiful. Rosie was always available to discuss any concerns or questions we had throughout the project. We appreciate all that Landscape Locators has done for us.

Knowing nothing about procuring landscaping services for our first house, and not really having the time or energy to figure it out, Kevin was a tremendous help and made the whole process basically painless, except, of course, for the money we had to spend for the actual landscaping. (I won't hold that against him, though). He was always on time for our appointments, and accommodated our schedules by meeting with us mostly on the weekends. Our first appointment was for him to check out our property and giving him our general ideas as to what we wanted. He asked us various questions as to our budget, our tastes, and the anticipated uses for the outside, and gave us his thoughts as to what we could do. We weren't ready to commit right then, but he followed up with us over the next several months until we were ready to pull the trigger. He drew up the basic plans, and gave us a detailed listing of everything that had to be done, from putting in the drainage/irrigation, limited hardscaping, paving, plants, and so on. Although he insists that he is not a landscape architect, because he has much experience in the field, he was able to put together a concrete plan from the general wishlist we gave him. With the knowledge he has of his extensive network of landscaping contractors and their availability, cost structure, and skills, he selected three to which the job was bid out. In terms of availability and cost, one in particular stuck out, and we set up an initial meeting with him (Paul Yoo of Greenland Landscaping, who took it from there). One major part of the project I was dreading somewhat was getting the approval from the HOA, I was hearing some of my neighbors experiencing much difficulty in this regard. At multiple levels of review I did receive some feedback/change requests, and all I had to do was forward it on to Kevin, who accommodated their requests. It didn't require much of anything on my part, or the contractor's part, and I think this is where his value lies, both to me as the homeowner, and the contractors that he works with. His services are not charged to the homeowner, and though I suppose I'm ultimately paying for it through the contractor, based on the other quotes we got, I see it more as a referral fee paid by the contractor.

Fortunately I made my decision to use Landscape Locators' services. Andrew did great work and help! Be careful with dealing directly with the landscape contractors. With Andrew's service I closed contract with contractor who's name is Rich on Jan. and Rich finished my backyard in three weeks. But the project was rejected by HOA because Rich attached electric box to the wall when I applied for refund of my deposit in May. It took me over one month to communicate with Rich for correcting the mistake and nothing happened. I was so disappointed and contacted with Andrew. Only one day after Andrew sent email to Rich the problem has been solved by Rich's man. Thanks God I have Andrew's services. Otherwise I can only do it by myself or sue Rich for the lost of the deposit. That will be also big trouble for me. Thus be careful with dealing with contractor directly unless you have some money unpaid during the warranty period, at least before you get back your deposit. Thank Andrew for his great work. I am very happy with their services. They are punctual and provide a great service for the price. I will continue to use them in the future.

We met with several other landscape contractors and none came close to being as professional as Andrew from Landscape locators. Andrew spoke to us in an intelligent manner and helped us put a plan together for our backyard. His bid was lower than the other bids that we received and he did not ask for payment until the job was completed. Andrew never overpromised and never under-delivered; he did everything he told us he would do and communicated with us throughout the whole process. The job was completed on time and our house looks great. He has also followed up with me a couple of times since the project was completed to make sure that everything is going well. I would gladly recommend Landscape Locators to my friends and family (already have). I'm glad I found them on Angie's List!

They first had to dig up and grade the yard to make it flat but as they did that they found a huge tree stump, which took a day to remove. There were a lot of rocks that they had to remove, as well. They were fabulous and they didn't charge us extra for the removal. We had an existing sprinkler system, but they spent hours coordinating the sprinkler system and they bought us new pipes to make it work well for us. They ran to and from Home Depot to make this happen.

Landscape Locators provided me with someone who does a great job maintaining my lawns. He shows up with a helper every Friday afternoon (as per my request) rain or shine. Reliable; friendly; and consistent. If I could get rid of that pesky gopher, I'd have a great looking lawn! I definitely recommend Landscape Locators.
