Wonderful experience.

Working with Howard's Custom Upholstery was a great experience. I had visited two other upholsterers and at least 4 fabric shops and wasn't completely comfortable with any of them. I had seen Howard's on Angie's lilst and decided to make one other visit. I was not disappointed. Elaine and Tavy make a great team. Elaine assisted in fabric selection. She was very helpful in helping us to understand the pros and cons of various fabrics. She took a lot of time with us. I had seen a fabric on the Internet and she found it in her selection. That was the fabric I selected. They gave me a sample to take home to see how it would look. Then Tavy took over and gave us a tour around their facility. I knew nothing about upholstery and he explained what goes into a good upholstery job. They gave us a rough bid based on the fabric I had selected. Since I had visited two other upholsterers, I knew his bid was reasonable. We felt very comfortable with them and made an appointment for TAVY to come to the house to measure the chaise the next day. He was on time, called to say he was on his way and was in an out very quickly. While at our home, he gave some good advice about a couple of other pieces of furniture. They ordered the fabric and called when it was in to schedule a pick up. When they picked up the chaise (on time) they were very careful when moving the very large bulky chaise so they would not damage anything in my home. They were in and out very quickly. They told me it would be one-to-two weeks to complete the job. It was completed and delivered in about 1 1/2 weeks. Again, great care was taken in bringing it into the house. And as always, they were on time and called to say they were on their way. The chaise looks fabulous. (I think there may be a photo on their Website) . It was done exactly as ordered. When I asked, they put sliders on the bottom of the legs. Tavy explained I should flip the cusions frequently. I can see why Howard's Custom Upholstery is a preferred supplier with Angie's List subscribers. I highly recommend them.

They had a very good design and feedback. They had good quality work but they were expensive.

I debated spending that much for the job, but after seeing the furniture imports on the market for similar prices, I realized it was worth keeping the quality construction I already owned. I am very happy with the ultimate results - they look better than when they were new. I could have selected less expensive fabric to minimize the costs, but I am glad I got what I wanted. Each chair would easily retail over $5,000 today as an American-made quality product, three times more than what they sold for 15 years ago when purchased at a design center.

They did a great job. Their quality and workmanship was awesome. They just did a really good job. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

So far, they have been very good. They have been accommodating. Rather than doing all of the work at once, they are doing it piece-by-piece, so we can have somewhere to sit. Their prices are a little bit better than the competition. Their work is good.

I liked the time they spent picking fabric out with us. The quality of work was good. They picked the couch up and delivered it back. It looks like a brand new couch. The price was reasonable, especially when it looks like we have a new couch, compared to the cost of a new couch today. I am going to have them re-upholster a small chair that we have.
