Comfort Energy sent Adrian out that afternoon. They gave me a two hour window and Adrian called when he was on his way. He was on time, professional and worked quickly. I got my transformer replaced and my furnace was up and running within about 40 minutes.

He set upon the tune-up task opening the furnace components, inspecting them and meticulously cleaning them. He also explained what he was doing. Then he took the time to show my husband how to clean out the filters and replace them. He shared knowledge about the unit to us along the way. Tips on how to best make it work. It was great. He was awesome. I will use them again if I have heating and cooling issues.

+ -1 moreA few days before contacting "Comfort Energy", my furnace started making a loud rattling noise whenever it was turning on. It sounded like a helicopter. This happened while my husband was traveling on business, who is an expert on taking care of things like this. While I was not sure what to do, I Googled and found out more about the problem. What made me quickly act and find "Comfort Energy" was reading about how seriously dangerous this problem might be. I read that it could be a cracked heat ex-changer which can cause fire. So right away, I turned off the furnace then next day called "Comfort Energy". Having read the excellent reviews, I decided to give them a try. Excellent customer service. Olga and Frank both were very professional and helpful. Olga quickly scheduled the service. Frank was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Same day my husband was back from his trip and met with Frank. He was impressed and happy about how Frank handled the case. We will definitely call them again in case of any HVAC issue. We strongly recommend "Comfort Energy" for their expertise, professionalism, and excellent service,

+ -1 moreI asked Comfort Energy to consider the following systems, though unfortunately none were economical other than the Nest installation: * Solar thermal domestic hot water: May be economical, but cheaper to wait for the end-of-life of the current water heater. * Mini-split AC: Possible, not too expensive, but not needed at this time. * Heat-recovery ventilation: Though possible, we'd leave significant equipment on the (flat, attic-less) roof, and it would be expensive. * Insulated hot water return line: Possible, but not really beneficial. * Solar thermal tied to pool, radiant heating, and domestic hot water: They ran several models, and the return on investment is just too low. When our hot water heater gives out, we'd consider solar thermal hot water, so we'll follow up with Comfort Energy then. I was impressed by their engineer's and tech's knowledge and professionalism. Though the larger projects were not what we need at this time, I was thrilled to hear an honest appraisal. The smaller work they did was first rate.
Description of Work: Comfort Energy is my new favorite HVAC contractor. I paid them to install a common 'c' wire such that I could install a Nest (it failed without one and now works great), and they made several cost-effectiveness estimates.

They were thorough and communicated all of the steps needed. We were so impressed we scheduled the work, and the two guys that did the work were also top notch. I'm extremely pleased with the work. + -1 moreCarlos Gonzalez was extremely knowledgeable and responsive. Our heater stopped working just before Thanksgiving and learned that it would cost almost as much to repair the old furnace as it would to purchase a new one. We called four companies for quotes and Carlos was the most knowledgeable and informative. He provided us quotes for four different furnaces and four different air conditioners. We chose the 97% modulating Bryant furnace and the 16 seer Bryant air conditioner. They were able to schedule us immediately and provided us space heaters to use until our furnace was installed and operable. They finished the job as promised in four days. We definitely recommend Comfort Energy and would use them again in the future.

The salesman, Carlos did a thorough inspection of my home and the old heating/cooling system and gave me three choices of equipment. He was very knowledgeable and I felt very comfortable with the choices he offered me and the package I choose. The installers arrived on time and were very respectful of my home. They put down tarps, wore shoe covers and were careful not to track dust or dirt into the house. The installation went very smoothly. They cleaned up all the installation debris and and left the area around the furnace cleaner than it was before they started. They took time to set up the thermostat and show me how to use it. They also adjusted the air flow in all of the rooms of the house so the whole house is comfortable. I'm so glad I had this done before the December cold snap. My house has been nice and warm and I am looking forward to the energy savings from the new furnace. Comfort Energy was great, I would recommend them to any one.

Harry and his team were always forthright about what needed to be done, more or less how long it would take and were really quick in getting us up and running again, whenver things went wrong. As you might imagine the last thing someone with thousands of $'s worth of wine, literally hundreds of thousands of $'s wants to hear is that they have no AC to keep the wine cool. If work required multiple technicians on site, they were there, if work meant working at night, early mornings. Saturday's, Sunday's..whatever Harry & his team took care of it. The amounts I placed above were estimates of servicing, amounts obviously vary depending on work carried out. As mentioned above too, they service residential and commerical properties all the time, so anyone can get thier help. Our relationship now is ongoing, they service our systems all the time, as per our agreements, thankfully the last few summers have been a breeze, thanks no doubt to their ability to set things up and maintain them the way they should be. We have also recently had them build new wine rooms for us, and improve the riunning our our previously manufactured systems.Thank you Harry & Comfort Energy.
Description of Work: Where do I begin? I manage a small chain of privately owned self storage facilities, in this case specific to commercial and residential wine storage. Our experiences started one horrific summer when, totally unexpected we had AC units blowing up, due mostly in part to poor repair work done by previous repair companies and inefficiencies on our side too. Imagine out horror when realizing that the 2 or 3 'other' guys we were using at the time, did not really know what the problems were. I met Harry(the owner) and was impressed right away with his 'straight shooting' and honesty in coming up with solutions to all our problems. Bear in mind we store literally thousands of cases of wine, the last thing our valued customers would want to hear is that the company/s we had entrusted with our AC work, could not take care of our needs. Harry and his staff went through all our stores, came up with a plan to repair the existing issues, in remarkable time and at very reasonable prices. It has simply been smooth sailing for us since then, our customers all too happy. Since that summer Harry and his team have taken over the managment of all our stores with wine storage and climate control. We have never looked back. They also did a complete clean-out of our entire AC system including vents. With many customers visiting our stores, while they worked, I was always impressed with their professional manner about getting the job done right, the 1st time. I would highly recommend getting into a service contract with them too, they set the calendars according to your schedules and do the reminding too when needed. They come in every quarter with us now and do preventative checks on all our sytems, literally finding the problems before they turn into nightmares like we had happen before. Remember that generally speaking AC units tend to do all their work in the summers months, so get in early and have everything checked out before you too have a serious problem on your hand. They service commercial and residential properties so anyone can get their help. Our experiences have also meant that Harry & his team have had to work nights, week-ends and sometimes both, just to get the job done.That is exactly what is needed in most cases and EXACTLY what any serious business owner or Manager should be able to rely on when they are in a cruch. We have a saying that when you pay peanuts...you get a monkey and our previous experiences with 'the other guys' proved that over and over again. Having Harry& his team at Comfort Energy take care of our AC needs give us the freedom to work on other equally important issues, like running a business. Our only problem was that we did not know them sooner. This summer we are hoping to install solar panels on our buildings to try save on PG&E, once again Harry is your man, I have no doubt your experinces with him and his team will always be postive, in this economy with honest hard working service done right the first time....what more would you need. Their electricians have also got us out of a tight spot at great rates many times too. Call them now, you will not regret it at all.

+ 1 moreMy experience with Comfort Energy was nothing but positive. They replaced my HVAC system, along with ductwork and installed a tankless hot water heater. They also installed a very large stainless steel fan hood over my stove and vented it through the roof where ther was no existing vent. I don't think there is anything that these guys can't do.They showed up when they said they would ( that's something different), and were courteous and and professional while performing the work. They were also very clean, always picking up after themselves. What I appreciated most was the information that Harry would give me as the work was being performed. He not only kept me abreast of the progress, but he was constantly giving me suggestions on how I could make my house more energy efficient. This guy knows energy! He wasn't trying to sell me anything, just giving me the information I needed to make informed decisions when decisions had to be made. The fact that their price was very competitive was an added benefit. My experience with Comfort Energy can be summed up in one word: TRUST. They earned mine and I would definitely hire them again.

+ -1 moreWe called Comfort Energy because we needed a new air conditioning unit. Two days later, Carlos came in as scheduled and on time. After showing us the detailed inspection with a video of our air ducts (with holes), it was no wonder our heating and air wasn't reaching us. He offered us a variety of options for the new AC unit. The old unit hadn't been updated since 1970. We decided to update the AC and heating units. Carlos and his team came in and two days later we had air conditioning and heat. They came in on time, covered our floors and cleaned up before they left. We have never experienced such a professional and conscientious contractors. Two weeks passed and they came out again to make sure everything was to our liking. I highly recommend Comfort Energy and their team.
