Description of Work: I had Traverso out to estimate trimming of 4 trees. The estimator was on time and seemed to know his stuff, therefore I scheduled a day the following week for them to come out between 12-2. No one showed up. No one called until about 3:00 that day and said they wouldn't be there and to reschedule. Needless to say, I will not reschedule. It's too bad the trimming guys dropped the ball in a big way as they proved to me they are not reliable and do not value the time I spent waiting for them. This was to be a trial with smaller trees to see if I would go ahead with the other trees. I hired Bartlett Tree Services for all my trees and they were great all around. |

Description of Work: The team came recommended by neighbors, and they did an excellent job, very professional. Removed one leaning / unhealthy tree in the back and pollarded another in the front that was overgrown. Would definitely recommend Traverso.

Description of Work: Trimmed three Japanese maple trees, one large tree at the front of the house and two medium trees at the back of the house. They reduced the crowns on all three, trimmed them back from the roof, thinned and layered the branches, removed dead limbs. They were very professional and the staff they brought to our home was neat, cleaning all trimmings from the ground and grinding them using their equipment. We would use them the next time we have tree work that needs to be done.

Description of Work: My entire experience was excellent. I initially contacted them over a year ago, but had to cancel because of initial neighbors objections to tree trimming. This is Berkeley after all. Rescheduled this year without neighborhood input. Received excellent service at a very fair price. Will definitely use them again as they managed to save a tree my gardener had hacked horribly and did it discretely! A word to the wise, don't expect your lawn gardener to know anything about tree trimming, even if you stand there and point!

Description of Work: John Traverso has performed multiple services for us, specifically tree trimming, removal, deep fertilizing, and most currently an arborist report. His, and his employees work are excellent and reasonably priced. He is a pleasure to work with.

Description of Work: Traverso's Tree Service did an outstanding job taking down my Magnolia tree. They were prompt and courteous and cleaned up after themselves. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. The price was excellent. A+++.

Description of Work: Traverso Tree Service provided an estimate below 1 other estimate I got, and they had a portable stump grinder, which fit my needs as the tree I wanted removed was on a hillside with a retaining wall. They came out on time and got the job done quickly with no issues. They didn't harm any of the other trees and plants in the area and they cleaned up the trimmings well. All 3 men were professional and did a good job. I was very satisfied with their work and I would hire them again.

Description of Work: This was for an evaluation of a tree with two dead branches. As opposed to the other arborist I called, Traverso cut off the dead limbs to analyze the situation up close. The other arborist gave his assessment just by viewing the afflicted areas from below. Based on the two approaches, I felt more secure in how Traverso handled the situation. It was determned the tree was healthy and that I should only keep an eye on it if more areas should turn brown.

Description of Work: They pruned two huge oak trees and improved the safety of the trees at a reasonable price. They also hauled away the clippings.
