Purl's Sheet Metal installed a electronic air filters for us on a previous visit. During our seasonal service they discovered a problem with one of the filters and replaced it at no charge. We did not even realize there was a problem. The electronic filters we purchased from Purl's have made a huge difference in our home. They have cut down on the amount of dust in our home and provided better air quality. Highly recommend Purl's and these awesome air filters.

I don't really know if this electrostatic air filtration system works yet since I haven't actually lived in the house yet. My mother passed away this past July 2012, and her caregiver polluted the house with scented candles. It took three months of outgassing the house in a hot summer with no A/C running to finally get the smells out. Now I am having work done on the house, and the VOCs from the glues and adhesives that are being used to put hardwood on the stairs, install new windows, caulk a bathtub, and fix up some old tile work may keep me out of the house for a few more months. Do have this filtration system installed if you are actually living in your house at the time of the installation. Otherwise, you won't know if it's really doing its job or not.

Purl's always calls ahead of time to remind you it is time for their bi-annual maintenance visit. They set up appointments at your convience. They are very professional and reliable. We have never had any problems with any of their services including purchasing a new AC many years ago.

I have used Purl's Sheet Metal for many years. They had installed the original HVAC system in my home many years prior to me buyig the house and their sticker with name and number was on the unit so whenever I needed service I would call them. They were always punctual and would fit me into their schedule right away, however they always seemed a bit pricey. I the summer of 2003 when California was having problems with the energy grid and electric price were sky rocketing, I decided to purchase a new HVAC unit. Normally I do extensive shopping for such a major purchase, but tis time I did not. I called Purl's and asked the to install the best systemmoney could buy for my home. I have a fairly large home, about 2700 sq ft. and I want a multi-zone system as well. Purl's gave me a price of about $9600 inc. an extended warranty and I went with them. Initial I was so pleased with my system, it got my house as cool as I ever wanted in only minutes and cut my power bill almost in half. So far so good, but the following year I started having problems with the unit. The first few years it was covered under warranty, but I still had to pay a diagnostic fee every time there was an issue. But what was worst is that AC units never seem to break when it is 70 degrees outside. I live in the Central Valley of California and it is typically over 90 degrees for 6 months of the year and over 100 for 3 months. When you have no AC it is miserable! In 2008 about 45 days after my warranty expired, my system went out (again) and I was told it was the compressor and I neede to pay about $2500 to replace it. Needless to say, I was quite un-happy. I called Carriers national office and they said they would see what they could do, but made no promises. I called over and over. Finally, Purl's got the attention of the west coast regional manager and he came to my home and authorized a new compressor, but is still cost me over $300 w/ diag. But when it's 107 outside, you pay the money and say "thank you sir, may I have another". The west coast manager, Duane, also promised he would extend my warranty an additional five years. It turns out that at that point in time, Carrier had increased the warranty on their products from 5yrs to 10yrs anyway. Forward, summer 2011, I have another major malfunction with the system (mother board and blower motor $2500), only to find out that my warranty never got registered and the west coast region had been sold to another company. I called Purl's and they did help me out with the price but it was still about $1700. Now on 7/21/12 it is 109 outside and my system dies again. Of course it is Saturday morning and no one is avalable until Monday so we suffer with thermostat readings of 97 degrees inside my home. Monday morning,7/23, I call Purls and they are able to get someone out that same day. Once again I have to take time off of work, but I am grateful they can get someone ouyt so soon. I meet Chris Shcoettler from Purl's at the house that afternoon and pay $64 to have him tell me that the compressor is out again. I am then told it will be another $2500 to get it working and the part is on the east coast and it will be a few days before they could get it. Tuesday, 7/24 I call Carrier national office again and I am informed that since they had replaced a compressor less than 4yrs ago, I still had warranty on that part, but I would still be responsible for shipping, labor and refrigerant $800. I called Kurt at Purl's and he told me to keep pursuing help from the main office and he would also try to influence them for more help as well. I did as he asked and called again, and he did as he promised and called again on my behalf as well. Wednesday, 7/25 9:00 am. Kurt calls me and says that the factory has authorized him to put a whole new ac unit in for only $1200. I have been pushing for them to replace the AC unit for years now, I believe the old unit was a lemon. Although I am not thrilled about having to shell out another $1200, nor do I really have it to spend, I jump at the chance to have a new unit. Kurt tells me he will work with me on the payment and he can have the unit installed the same day. Now I am really happy! As promised, that afternoon, Purl's sends out a brand new 5 ton, 17 seer Carrier Infinity unit. Chris and Randy from Purl's stay well after normal hours and that evening, it is 72 degrees in my house again. And to top it all off, I now have a brand new 10yr warranty! I really want to thank Kurt for seeing this through for all these years, and Chris for his excellent service. I like the fact that they send out the same technician whenever I call. I feel like Chris is my AC doctor, he knows my system, knows it's history and is best equipped to make the proper diagnosis and repairs. I know I have complained about Purl's prices in the past and still wished they were lower, I appreciate the fact that it costs money to maintain the kind of service they provide in such a timely manner, with great quality wotkmanship. Keeping my fingers crossed this AC should now last as long as I do or atleast as long as I still live in this house. Alls well that ends well. Thanks again

We are extremely pleased. Brian helped us through the whole process: estimate, permit, installation, testing and inspection. The crews were professional, timely and competent. I would wholeheartedly recommend Pur's Sheet Metal & Air conditioning.

They are fantastic; they do preventative maintenance and come in every 6 months to make sure everything is okay for the next season. I chose them because of their reputation and will use them again in the future.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB ON REPLACING THE UNIT. IT RUNS GREAT AND THE PEOPLE WERE EXTREMELY FRIENDLY TO WORK WITH. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. I WOULD ALSO DEFINITELY HIRE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

WHEN THEY CAME THEY WENT STRAIGHT TO WORK AND DID NOT MESS AROUND. THEY WERE VERY HARD WORKERS. I AM HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE THAT THIS COMPANY GAVE US. I COULD NOT OF ASKED FOR BETTER.

AS FAR AS I CAN TELL THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. I DON'T REALLY KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE SYSTEM, BUT I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT. THEY WERE VERY POLITE AND THEY GOT RIGHT TO WORK.

THEY WERE GOOD. IT WAS OKAY. NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY OR REAL EXTRAORDINARY ,BUT THEY DID A GOOD JOB. I HAVE USED THEM A COUPLE TIMES. I USE A DIFFERENT COMPANY FOR SERVICING THOUGH, BECAUSE THEY ARE CHEAPER THAN PURL'S.
