Purl's Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning

We were Purl's customers for years for both our residence and business, including getting regular A/C and heater maintenance and replacing our units. In our home, they missed a leaking condensation line during the service that eventually led to water damage in two neighboring rooms (the water went into the walls and underneath the floors) and thousands of dollars in damage. In our business, they keep changing what is wrong with the unit and coming up with temporary fixes, all the while charging us more and more.

On 10-6-22 we were having an issue with Amerigas about them not removing a lock from the propane tan. They insisted they did remove the lock and if we're not getting heating from propane we would need someone to come out to fix it. Amerigas connected us to Angi (formerly Home Advisor). Angi connected us with Purls and an appointment was made. After discussing it with my son we found that the lock was still on the tank so having Purls come out wouldn't have solved anything. We called Angi back as that was our only contact to Purls (Called at 1-877-800-3177) andthrough them we were told the appointment was cancelled. On 10-7-22 someone from Purls showed up and when told we cancelled they checked with their office and said there was no note of cancellation and made us pay since they had to come. We were charged $128 and the person who came did not do anything. Through multiple calls to Angi we were told that they don't make appointments, but when we called to cancel the appointment we were told it was cancelled and never given information that we had to call the business directly. On another call I was told they sent the cancellation to Purls, but when the tech came out he said there was no note of cancellation. We were never told that we would have to contact Purls directly to cancel the appointment until after they had already come out and were not provided their contact info. What we were told was that the appointment was cancelled. I would like a refund of the $128 I spent due to either being given bad information from Angi, or for Purlscoming out when the appointment was cancelled.

Technician Came Out To Do A Diagnostic And Gave An Overpriced Quote To Replace The Gas Valve. Started ar $1000 then said $600. Also, Wanted To Charge $100 for a $3 part To Replace A pilot Orfice He Broke while working on the system. What A Joke.

excellent!!! great communication and follow up. We had a complicated warrantee issue and they stepped in, solved the issues and took care of everything in a professional manner. WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE!!!!

Scheduled to come out at 12, they just never came, didn't call say they couldn't make it, didn't call to reschedule. That's very unprofessional.

We were informed every step of the way what was taking place, and what needed to be done, and when it would be done. They even had to come back a few months later to adjust the air when the weather had warmed up enough and they contacted us! We did not have to contact them!

They missed diagnosed, wanted to charged $600 to replace the motherboard of the system. had a second opinion and it was a $20 capacitor.

Very professional and skilled crew. Took care of the permit process, installed new HVAC unit on roof--included all new ducting, vents, thermostat. Took a few days, they did an excellent job, left a clean work site. Very good communication. Very pleased and will hire again.

Purl's has always been very reliable and competent. Maybe not the cheapest provider out there, but fair for the services provided. We have always trusted them to perform necessary repairs properly. The servicemen are extremely professional and courteous, and they show up when promised. We had an issue arise over our latest service, which was resolved fairly and promptly by the owners when we talked to them.

Was very professional and friendly. I didn't even remember I had used them years ago. They had all the records from previous visits on the iPad he brought with him. I found that very helpful. I'd definitely call them again.
