The 2 painters were friendly and professional. They filled nail holes and sanded each window frame, then masked around the windows. They painted each window with two coats of paint that we supplied. The job took a day and a half for them to complete.

We had a lot of estimates for this job, and they were excellent! We were very impressed! We wanted extra precoat applied, and some stucco work done. They put up with me, a picky pain in the but customer! I didn't have to nag them once. They were happy to give me anything I wanted!

Cleve promptly returned my email where we arranged a time for him to come over and give his estimate. He arrived on time, quickly assessed what was needed, and then emailed his estimate promptly. I chose his company because of the reviews on Angie's LIst even though he was a wee bit higher in price. It was worth it. His crew of Richard, Mario and Albert arrived on time as arranged. They were professional, efficient and did excellent work. The job was completed as stated. The few small concerns I had were quickly taken care of and I am happy with the results. I will use this company again.

I responded to a coupon offer d=for the painting of a single room. Clive, of The Painting Pros came to my home and discussed the project with me. Since the coupon required me to provide the paint, Clive told me the quantity needed and gave paint specification suggestions. I purchased the paint on a Saturday and the room was painted the following Monday. The painter arrived right on schedule, did an excellent job of painting the room. The needed paint estimate was correct and the room looks great.

The Painting Pros crew did an awesome job. Roshan was extemely helpful in paint selection and the crew thatr did the work outstanding. We could not believe how beautiful everything looked when the job was finished. The repair to the trim was far beyond anthting we anticipated. After all, our 48 year old house was in pretrry bad shape and needed a lot of help. The crew was on schedule, everything picked up and cleaned up. We were so impressed with the work done that we have already decided to use Painting Pros in the future when the inside of the house needs painting. Cleve was very professisonal, did an excellent job in explaining all that they would do, and answering all ourq uestons. QWe believe wwe got a very fair price for the work performed and knew exactly what the final cost would be bwefore work was begun. We are pretry new to Angie's List and would highly recommend Painting Pros to any members.

I hired The Painting Pros even though they made the most expensive of several bids. Since my carpets were new, it was really important to me that not a single drop of paint get on them--and since the baseboards were being painted this would be a tough task. They did great, and the carpets remained utterly spotless. They also did a very thorough job on the closet doors, which have venetian-blind-style slats. They carefully sanded them down and sprayed new paint on, with a totally even coat. And on top of it all, I made some changes to the job onsite, asking them to skip two rooms' baseboards and paint two other doors not included in the original estimate. The painters there that day happily changed plan, and reported the difference accurately to Cleve, who gave me a very fair adjustment to the price. I'd hire them again, and likely will in the next few months for another planned job.

I am not fond of having to get on the phone to schedule appointments. I decided to email several Painting professionals through Angie's list. Some of them returned my emails or calls a week later. Others never returned my call at all! The Painting Pros replied to my email within minutes of sending it. I was very impressed at their quick response considering it was a Saturday! They offered to come by during the weekend and give me an estimate. Not wanted to occupy our weekend, I chose the following Monday instead. They arrived on time and walked through the whole house. I told them that I already had paint selected out and that I wanted to purchase all of the painting myself. I was basically just going to pay them for their time. This was not a problem and he even mentioned that the paint I had chosen was high end. The next day two workers showed up to do the work. They were early and did not waste a single second. They moved furniture, taped, lay down paper, and closed off areas the first day. It was a lot of work and we have some very high ceilings that were not a problem. They were able to begin some of the work. It took a total of 2.5 days to complete all of the work. The workers were fast busy bees. I never saw them even take a break which I gave them grief amount. They shyly smiled and sat outside not knowing what to do with themselves. I decided it was best to let them do their job. They were very polite and respectful and quiet! Each had an ipod they were listening to. My house was super quiet that I would forget they were downstairs. The job they did was superb! The ceiling were perfect, the baseboards were a shiny white, the walls were beautiful. It was like a whole new house and I couldn't have been happier. I will most certainly use them again!!

The Painting Pros Inc The Painting Pros, were really, really great! Had a problem in the kitchen with the humidity and paint, so they came back weeks later and re-painted the whole kitchen again at no charge.

It was estimated that the work would be done in 2 or 3 days. It was completed in 1.5 days. They were on time, courteous and professional. Did a wonderful job and cleaned up afterwards. They also took away the old paneling.

The painters arrived as scheduled but they were not prepared to paint a 16' wall. One of them said that he asked if there were any high places that he needed to paint and was told no. They had to borrow a ladder from us to use. The painting was good. After they left my husband when up in our laundry room and found paint all over our mirrors, in the sink and on the faucet, floor and cabinets of our newly renovated bathroom. I'm still trying to get the paint out of the new sink which is brushed nickel and the new faucet that was covered in paint, it's in the groves and doesn't want to come out. Needless to say, we're very unhappy with this. They could have asked if we had a bucket that they could have used to clean the brushes, and we would have been more than happy to supply one vs. having damage done to the bathroom. But to leave the house and not say a word to us is totally wrong. I contacted Cleve Dayton about this and he sincerely apologized and he was not sure what went wrong and asked what he could do to make it right. We declined the offer he extended.

I have a 1400 sq. ft. home with some vaulted roof lines and a zero property line on the right side of the lot. I had started to paint the exterior of the house on my own and wasn't able to complete the project with the 2 days I had. I lost motivation to complete the project since the last thing you want to do is paint after you get home from work or spend your weekends painting. A few months past and I saw The Painting Pros "painter for the day" big deal. I purchased the deal and scheduled an appointment with Cleve. Cleve arrived on time for our appointment and I went over the scope of work I wish to have completed. He mentioned that deal was good for 7 hours, but the work I was looking to have done would take longer that. I agreed and asked for him to supply me with a quote for the extra time to have to job completed. A few days later Cleve provided me with an estimate, I signed and sent it back. About a week past before I heard from Cleve with a start date. The work started on the morning of Oct. 12th. The painters arrived about 30 minutes late from when scheduled, but since I wasn't required to be there for the start the project it wasn't an issue. They power washed the area to be painted, did some prep work and started painting. The painters were cleaning up for the day when I got home from work. They mentioned they had one of the vaulted soffit areas & the atrium facia boards to finish and would be back the next day. The next day as I left for work the painters were already back and completing the remaining areas. I did the final walk through when I got home. I noticed that there was a few items of trash, paint cans, a ladder and painters pole left under a tree in my backyard. I put the extra paint cans away and tossed the trash. A few days later I got a call from Cleve to go over the final billing details and asking if I was happy with the work done. I told him i was, but that the painters had left some items and had not come back to get them. He apologized and said they would pick them up that day. The job took 20 total hours (2 painters x 10 hours) to complete. After deducting the Big Deal's 7 hours I owed 13 hours @ $55/hour. The price of the job was about what I was expecting, the painting was well done and Cleve and his crew were friendly and professional. I would use them again or recommend them to a friend.

I got a coupon from Angie's List. They showed up right on time when they said they would. The guy was very fast doing the work. The quality of the work was really good. The big deal was worth it and it was a great deal. I am planning to use them for a work in the spring.

This was an Angie's list special "painter for a day for $199". Cleve Dayton showed up as scheduled, looked the job over and provided an estimate. We scheduled the job and the painter showed up on time. He scraped, sanded, and painted the deck faces. Then he sanded the front door and refinished with Varathane. Both results look good. He was careful and cleaned up after himself. Overall impression is that they are honest and competent. I would definitely use them again.

He also emailed the estimate. He scheduled the work. The painter, Jose who did the work came on time and was very proffesional. Highly recommended. We are very pleased with his work. We rate The painting Pros very high overall. Their offer was good. Their deal was have price. Their price for the extra work was the market price. They were very through in preparation work and clean up was spotless.

Overall I was happy with the paint job. My only complaint is that the estimate I got from the owner Cleve on how much paint to buy was double what I actually needed, so now I am sitting on 3 unopened cans of paint at $40 each that were not needed, plus 2 cans that were opened and partially used. There is no way I will ever use this much excess paint, and when I called Cleve to let him know about the overestimate he seemed stumped for words. He was defensive and kept saying "well, what do you want me to do?" and barely uttered an apology at the end of our conversation. That part was disappointing, not the end of the world, but I had hoped for a bit more professionalism.

This was one of Angie's List Big Deals, and I was very pleased and satisfied with the work done. Because Cleve Dayton of the Painting Pros had such a strong response to the deal, the only less than A+ part of the service was that it took a long time to get together and get the work scheduled. Very understandable. Since the work to be done was long delayed touch ups on trim and stucco patches, another week waiting for the weather and Cleve's schedule to cooperate was no biggie. Cleve scheduled a time to come survey the job, and was very thorough in determining what the scope was, even finding additional areas that needed touch up that I had missed. He followed up with a written confirmation of the work to be done. Cleve's two painters showed up on time, were very courteous and professional, and did a beautiful job. They left the job site immaculate. I recommend Painting Pros to anyone needing painting services.

They are scheduled to paint the exterior of my house, in California. They were neither the lowest nor were they the highest. He is a fair person and seems decent. He has done a good job in calling me back. I will use their services in future.

My husband and I had started painting the living room (vaulted ceiling) on Labor Day. We even tried a little faux painting on one wall. Not so good. :(. We had anticipated getting the whole job done in one day. Living room, kitchen, hallway, entryway. But we only got the living room done and felt tired and discouraged at the end of the day. We put the paint stuff away and I didn't know when we could do the rest. THEN....I saw the Big Deal on Angie's List. I thought, "it's worth a try". So I filled in the required information. I can't remember exactly, but within a day or so, I got a call from Cleve, owner of Painting Pros. We set up a time for him to come and evaluate the job. He was right on time. We live in the country and are not easy to find, but he found us okay. He asked questioned about what I wanted done. Made a few notes, and said he would send me a proposal via email. The proposal came promptly. It was easy to read and spelled everything out clearly. I ok'd it and we set a date to do the work. The paint job was done in less than a day and I love it. I tipped both painters and look forward to doing business in the future with Cleve.

Cleve returned my phone call, came out to look at what I needed done and then had me contact his color consultant. Once the colors were chosen he set a date and his crew arrived promptly. They completed the job in two days and I hardly knew they were here. The crew is absolutely top-notch. They were a pleasure to have around and their work is of the highest quality. I recommend them without reservation.

It?s been 15 years since the interior of our four-bedroom home was painted and we went to Angie?s List to get a recommendation for a reliable painting company in our area. After reading all the reviews, we chose The Painting Pros and made an appointment for the owner, Cleve Dayton, to come out and give us a quote. From the moment he walked in the door my wife and I both liked Cleve -- he is friendly and easy to talk to, but is also very professional. As he walked through the house with us and heard what we wanted done in each room, he marked up a chart with all the details, including problem areas and special requests. He told us that they would handle moving the heavy furniture (but we should pack away breakables to be on the safe side), curtains taken down and put back up, and cracks in the walls fixed. A few days later he sent us the quote which included a 10% discount for being an Angie?s List customer -- it was well within the price range I expected, so we went ahead and scheduled the start date. A few days before starting, we were visited by their color specialist who discussed various color and gloss options. The Painting Pros has four teams in the field. We had the team headed by Salvador working with his two brothers and a cousin. They were great! It was a large job and took about a week, but everything was done as promised and we are extremely pleased with the results. They took particular care to clean up each day and to keep the house well ventilated so the odor was minimal. We felt so completely comfortable with the painting team that we decided to go away for a long weekend and let them work without us getting in their way. When everything was done, my wife and I did a walkthrough of the house and found a few minor things that needed touching up. Salvador and Cleve came over the next day, looked at the areas in question, and Salvador came back the next morning and fixed everything to our satisfaction. Bottom line: I love this company and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone planning to paint their house. In fact, I?ve already told Cleve that I?ll be calling them back when we get around to painting the exterior of our house. I don?t think I can give a better recommendation than that!

The two guys who did the work were wonderful. I don’t have any complaints. I am delighted with their work. I rate them high overall. Their offer was good. Their price is the market price. The living room and dining room had grey-green walls; the kitchen and 1/2 bath were dark green - these were painted pale yellow. The master bedroom and bath were deep red which were painted pale blue. Cleve, the owner of Painting Pros, and reviewed the areas I wanted painted. I also had him bid additional work (kitchen cabinets and stair rails). He knew exactly what he was looking at, explained what would need to be primed before painting, and what his team would do (e.g. move the furniture, remove outlet covers, lower the eschuteon of chandeliers for a clean finish, etc.). The bid was in my inbox the next morning. I elected to go with the primary areas for painting and deferred the cabinet and stair rails to stay on my budget. Painting Pros also offer a color selection service with a color expert to help ensure the color selection truly fits for your space. I recommend the use of this service, as I still get compliments on the colors chosen. The color expert will help with the selection and deliver sample papers (not little paint chips) so that you have a larger view of the color and can see it in day/eve light. The crew arrived on the right day, and worked non-stop. The were careful in handling and moving my stuff, and cleaned up every afternoon. The crew didn't screw around (joking, listening to music, goofing off), they worked consistently, and took only a brief lunch break. You get what you pay for, and investing in the superior workmanship of Painting Pros is well worth it. I will have them come back to do the cabinets and stair rails (and 2 other bedrooms) with my 2012 budget. There is such a difference when you compare the painting of professional vs. a DIY job!

We love our old house. It has tons of 1929 character both inside and out, however we discovered this included some of the original lead paint which was still attached, hiding under previous paint-jobs. This meant our painter had to be not only very good, but also legally certified to do the work, since it requires very specific measures to insure safe removal, and also makes the job more expensive. I took three bids from highly rated companies on Angie's List. The first company's bid was very high. The owner stated that he hadn't quite finished the certification program, and although he never specifically said so, I could tell he was uncomfortable about doing the work (there's the potential of a big fine if you're not fully certified). The second company had the lowest bid by far, however didn't bring up the question of the lead paint until I did...then said they'd adjust the price "as necessary" as the job moved along. (?!) The third company was the Painting Pros. By this time I knew about the lead...and a number of other things...so I knew what I wanted to hear. Cleve showed up with his great personality (ask him about painting in the wind) and explained to me all that had to be done, legally, technically, physically and artistically. His painters were trained experts on removal of lead paint. He's painted many a lovely old house and knew that it would take 7 days, but that's what we wanted to hear, otherwise the job wouldn't be done right. Cleve's price was very fair...actually it was the amount that I'd had hoped it would be before taking bids, and then finding out about the lead-issues too. Cleve's color and tint lady Roshawn came to our house and matched our colors perfectly, plus counseled us on "glossy vs shiny." She knew more about what we wanted than we did! The work began right on time with Cleve's team of three: Richard, Mario and Alberto, who were wonderful. They always had a smile; always very quiet or hummed or sang softly to themselves. (no boom boxes!) and did all of the lengthy removal, the scraping, the patching and caulking, (we have lots of french-windows) without a hitch. They then hand- brushed on two coats of our dark 'gray' and white trim w/yellow door, finishing it all up in exactly seven days. Richard stopped by for some additional touch-up about a week or so later, and that's it. Beautiful! For us, and our needy old (now gorgeous ) house, Cleve's Painting Pros were just that. Pros. AND they're really nice people too. You can't go wrong with this company.

When the painter arrived and I mean arrived on time he was pleasant, professional, friendly and I could not believe how respectful he was to my home and to me. At the end of the first day, I saw him completely cleaning up the bedroom which amazed me. I told him, just leave everything you are coming back tomorrow, but he insisted and cleaned the entire room of his materials and work tool. The next day I insisted he did not have to do that, no one would bother the room. What a great guy. I had to leave my house for the time the painter was here and I had no worries of him going through my house and personal items which was such a relief. I would have no one else come back to my house and paint. The room turned out beautiful I could not be happier with the end results. My furniture was moved back where it was when they arrived, the room was cleaned completely. The only thing left for me to do was vacuum, put on my new bedding and enjoy my beautiful new room. I feel like I moved into a new house. Thank you Cleve and to you your painter, he deserves an extra thank you. The same with your assistant, she called me whenever there was any change and she called to make sure everything was going well. I look forward to working with you again!!! J
