The price was little expensive. We manage to do some tree service on our own to save a little money but the other stuff they wanted to do for us were a little expensive. The consultation was very helpful about making little tips about how to treat trees. They gave us little information and they took off a little tree for us just free of charge just to be helpful. The quality of work and professionalism of their staff is excellent. The work isn't critical so we decided not to spend the money and did the work ourselves. We were impressed with what they did.

They did a great job. The individual I've worked with is an arborist, so he's really knowledgeable. He gave me some good advice and told me to work with the city to make some changes.

Sean was very thorough during his initial assessment visit. He explained that the best approach for the health of the trees was to not cut them back as severely as I was thinking, but to cut them back gradually and revisit the status in a couple of years. He pointed out that my orange tree also needed a spraying of horticultural oil, showing me the insect signs that needed to be taken care of. He also explained that I should wait until after they finished pruning to spray, since they would cut away much of the infected areas during the prune. Although Sean said it might be two weeks until they could come do the actual work, when he called 48 hours late to schedule they work, he told me that they had a cancellation and that they could handle my work the next day. Great! They showed up on time, the crew was friendly and efficient, and did a good job cleaning up afterwards. Hope to see them back here in two years.

My entire experience with Bartlett Tree Experts was great. Heidi was helpful with prompt scheduling, and with assistance when a typo prevented an arrival time update call. While Frank the certified arborist arrived a bit later than I'd been tole to expect him, he was very knowledgeable and informative, and gave me some helpful advice about my apricot tree. The very next day he emailed me what I felt was a fair quote for the work. I think Ben and Zac were the names of the two crew members who performed the work. They were very polite and worked together safely while doing a great job. I really appreciated that they worked with me on the final asthetics of which loquat tree branches to cut while leaving other branches in place to somewhat hide the phone and cable lines running between the backyard-situated telephone pole and the corner of my house. I highly recommend this company, and hope you have the same great experience!

They were prompt, dilligent, efficient and careful. Used a hydraulic bucket, man/ lift to reach outer branches from all sides. Cleaned up all debris. Everything went very smooth. Of four quotes--they had the best.

Bartlett had excellent equipment to do the job on a large tree, They responded well to minor changes that we asked. They got the job quickly and had plenty of professional level crew. They cleaned up everything completely after the work was done. Sean Davis, the Arborist Representative, coordinated the particulars of the proposed work well. He was cordial and polite. We noticed that Sean's name was on other good reviews. Sean clearly has done a lot of this type of work. We used Bartlett 4 years ago and we were satisfied then as well.

Awesome job! Price was right, and the crew they sent out actually knew what they were talking about. More than some other bids we got which seemed like "I have a chainsaw, thus am qualified to trim a tree". Will use them again!

The crew showed up on time (early, in fact), worked quickly and efficiently, ground up all of the tree parts, and swept and raked my yard, leaving it as though no one had ever been there. In addition, Sean gave me his opinion of the long-term future of the tree - which is, it's safe for now, but, really, it's ugly and should someday be removed and replaced with something more appropriate to a suburban back yard.

Sean came to the property and we promptly got a quote I signed the quote and sent it back but had to follow up a week later to get scheduled. That was the only hiccup. The crew did an excellent job on the tree removal and grinding.

Sean from Bartlett responded to my request for a bid on trimming trees in our HOA. He came over to do a walk thru with me and we marked all the trees that needed trimming. He also suggested what other trees needed to be trimmed and how they need to be trimmed. He suggested a date and time for the trimming work and he came with a team of workers to finish the work. He did his due diligence in going around and confirming that the work was complete and that we were satisfied with the work. The pricing was very reasonable and work was perfect. Can't ask for more!

They were prompt. They gave me an estimate. We talked about what was going to be done. They did exactly what they said. They were very good about cleaning up. They told me what to do if it starts growing back. They were just very professional and easy to talk with. They didn't try and sell me anything. The price was fantastic compared to what my friends had done with theirs. They were extremely professional, explained everything to me, answered every question I had so that always makes me feel good.

Frank who was charged with the initial estimate and walk-thru was the reason that we decided to go with Bartlett. He obviously knew what he was talking about - it did not hurt that he was the only one of 3 estimates that came to the walk-thru on time. The work was broken up into 2 separate days with 2 separate crews - both crews were headed up by seemingly competent crew leads that answered questions and got the work done in the time ranges specified. If there were minor areas of criticism, they were: + not the cheapest - on the higher end of the range + there was a dead branch on one of the larger trees (from the previous night's storm) for which they quoted an additional $ 200, which seemed a bit expensive Overall, these guys were pros. I would use them again and most likely recommend them to anyone looking for a tree service.

My first calls were retuned promptly, and a convenient appointment was made. Sean, the arborist, called and came out to access the property. Very knowledgable. Knew what was wrong with the sycamore. The team showed up to do the job, and Sean pitched with directing them on what to do. Everything was done exactly as we discussed. The diseased sycamore is looking great! I'm very happy with this service. The only downside, is that they were very busy (early spring) and were not able to schedule the job for 2 weeks. it was kind expensive, but I had a lot of work done. Sean called back after the job, to ensure everything was to my satisfaction. Nice.

It went well. Protected other plants and cleaned up throughly.

Contacting Bartlett by phone was easy. After leaving our request with the receptionist, Sean (sales, scheduling, and estimates) called us back within about a day. He came and walked the property with us to get our description of what we wanted done. He then emailed us a detailed estimate after a couple days. After some time to review his estimate, we agreed to it and he scheduled us for the following week. On the scheduled day, Bartlett arrived on time and completed the pruning without any problems, hauled away the debris, and cleaned up. Now our trees, roses, and juniper look great again!

They were nice and on time. Their price was good. They also took away all of the branches they cut down. They were professional and asked me if I needed anything else. They also gave me a discount!

This office of Bartlett was recommended to me by a consulting arborist who assessed the trees on my property shortly after I bought the house. Frank Bombardier from Bartlett came out a few weeks ago to do a walk-through with me and provide a quote for trimming, pruning, and re-shaping a number of trees including fruit trees plus a variety of others. Whole yard, basically. The proposal came quickly, the price seemed reasonable for the amount of work, so we went ahead and scheduled it. The team (3 guys) plus Frank came early yesterday morning (showed up exactly as promised), did another walk-through to make sure we were all on the same page, then did the work. They were very thoughtful about what they cut, where, and why... and when I got home later and the work was all done I was impressed at how they did some major work to correct pruning mistakes from years past but the threes didn't looked hacked or lop-sided. Really, it all just looks refreshed, cleaned out, thoughtfully shaped, and healthy. And I'm not exaggerating when I say that they left the yard cleaner than when they found it. Good job. The team was professional, helpful, and clearly quite experienced. Thanks! I'll have them come back in the summer to do some other follow-on work.

The initial meeting is very informative, Frank took the time to walk around with me and explained everything they look for in regards to tree health and safety as well as explain the reason for the costs involved. On the day of service the crew showed up and was very professional. They started work right away and worked through the day, they did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves as well. (It was actually cleaner after they were done than it was before they started ). The price was spot on to the initial estimate.

We have used Bartlett services for over 14 years. We have received other bids and have always chosen to stay with Bartlett. All work was done to our specifications. All workers have responded to our suggestions and requests in an outstanding manner.

Great pre-meeting. Original contact became ill and replacement showed up on time. Did work, but had not met with him before so had to spend more time with the crew.

The arborist was quite knowledgeable and gave us an estimate for pruning of 2 street trees and 1 other tree on the property. He mentioned that since the street tree pruning was below 20%, we did not need a permit from the city of San Jose, since Bartlett was on the city of San Jose's approved contractor list. I called up the City of San Jose arborist to confirm. She confirmed that we don't need a permit if Bartlett performed the job of pruning (below 20%) - I wonder why Bartlett doesn't advertise this on their website. Saves a lot of hassle with getting a pruning permit. They arrived on time and were very efficient. Cleaned up well after and did a decent job of shaping the tree canopy.

Everything went as planned from the original estimate to completion of the work. Work was completed on time and they totally cleaned up when finished. All the workers were very professional and courteous and demonstrated extensive experience at their jobs. I wouldn't hesitate to use their sevices again and recommend Bartlett highly.
