They were punctual and knowledgeable. They were professional and did a thorough job. Their pricing was good and gave me a detailed report. I was satisfied with their service.

The job was the best ever! Paul Yamaguchi presented complete and detailed estimates, told me what I should do with his company, what I can have a handyman do if I wanted to, and what I may delay. They fumigated my home - fantastic job. They fumigated my buildings - again excellent work. They repaired a split roof brace - showing me a picture of the split brace. The roofer i got could not even find it. Most important to me - Oley - the fumigator - told me I had critters in my roof area. He was kind enough to go back up and collect them although that was definitely outside the scope of work. I'll be eternally grateful. Paul is the very best in the business - I will use him and recommend him highly! BTW - I had 2 other estimates and had called one of them to do the work before I signed up for Angie's List. When I reviewed them, I was appauled by their reputation and cancelled the work. Sure glad I found Paul. This is my second experience with Angie's List references but I am shouting their name from the roof tops. I am currently using companies I found on Angies's List to install window and mirrors, upgrade electricity in 2 properties, repair plumbing, install screen doors, install 3 shower doors. My only bad experience was the shower doors - I should have stuck with Century Shower Doors. Thanks, Angie's List creators - what a lifesaver! I signed on to use AL in other areas where I own property.

I thought it went very well. The inspection was very thorough. The cost of the fumigation treatment was reasonable. I thought the repairs were a little expensive, but the work was superb. The workmanship was outstanding. They delivered in the quality of their work.

I never heard back from them except when a gentleman called from their company looking for the man he sent to do the inspection; I was not at my place of business at the time, so I could not help him in that regard.

I couldn't say enough good things about him. His inspection was very thorough. He was nice to deal with on the telephone. He gave us a recommendation who helped us a lot. The ninety dollars he charged for the inspection, he said will be deducted if we ever decide to use him.

We had not had a termite inspection since we purchased our home 4 years ago. We joined Angie's List specifically for reviews for termite inspections. Based on the reviews I read on Yamaguchi, I called them up. The person who answered the phone was friendly-and advised that, although he couldn't help me, he would have his boss call me. I received a call about an hour later, I made an appointment for the following week and made the arrangement for the inspector to call me so I could meet him at my home (I work not far from my home). Mike Wood, the inspector from Yamaguchi, called me during the appointed 2-hour time frame and was punctual, polite and professional-and a really nice guy. He was thorough and conscientious. During his inspection, he found some dry rot-he had seen other areas of the house where our painter had replaced and patched other dry rot areas and suggested that we could have our painter do the additional dry rot work. He did not try to hard sell me his services-I truly felt that I could trust him. The many positive reviews were absolutely correct-I had an excellent experience with Yamaguchi Termite and would highly recommend them- my experience with them was positive and professional from start to finish.

Tenting went well. Removed and replaced all damaged wood. On schedule and on budget.

I was having some work done on my house and the carpenter discovered termite activity. I needed to take care of the termites before the other work could go forward, so I was in a rush. Called Yamaguchi based on the Angie's List recommendations. Paul came out within a few days, and inspected and identified all the areas of concern. He recommended that we go with spot spraying because the infestation wasn't too bad and I have a lot of landscaping that would suffer from tenting. He answered all my questions, and was very thorough in his report. His workers came out promptly and were cheerful, professional and efficient. I would definitely hire them again.

Yamaguchi was the third estimate I got. The first two companies gave a good estimate and recommended tenting my property. I told all three companies that I was planing some construction work involving replacing red wood siding. Only Yamaguchi was candid enough to tell me that having the fumigation done now was a waste and to wait until the construction was completed. I will certainly use them when my construction project is completed.

Both the inspector and exterminator were pleasant and experienced. All of my questions were answered to my satisfaction, and they even talked me out of spending hundreds extra to "bait" for termites. I'll won't know until next Spring how effective they were at reaching most of the termites.

Called and spoke to an older Japanese man who sounded like he was sick with a cold. I explained my termite situation and how a Terminex inspector came out and said that his company couldn't treat my infestation problem unless I captured a live termite. The man at Yamaguchi wasn't very helpful either. He told me that they're fully booked, that Terminix could handle the job fine, and basically that he can't help me out. The man was not rude, just didn't seem to care. Kinda disappointed considering the rave reviews on Angie's List.

Great work. On time. Friendly. Easy.

I ordered an inspection $80 to be waived if this company did the work. The inspector was very knowledgeable. A report arrived promptly by U.S. Mail as requested. I scheduled the work, but the forecast was for rain, so I called to reschedule. (Water collects under my house in a storm and I didn't want subterranean work done due to risk of injury/presence of water.) There was a lot of push back on this, but the job was later rescheduled. Ole came out and did an excellent job of taking care of the termites. The inspector alerted me to the presence of a rat living in my attic--this was much appreciated and I called an exterminator. Ole reattached my clothes dryer vent, which runs underneath my house. That was also appreciated. His impromptu inspection of my foundation wasn't warranted, in my opinion, as I don't know his qualifications for that type of work.

The inspector from Yamaguchi reported that there was fungus damage under the house from a leaking stall shower and said a very costly repair would be needed. They said that they would need to break out the base of the shower and tiles replace with new materials. Inspections from 3 other companies said that there was no leak nor need to repair or replace anything.

Ole did an excellent job! He was VERY careful about removing the T-11 paneling so it would not have to be replaced. The job site was THOROUGHLY cleaned-up after he was done and all lose material was taken away. Ole was also fast and completed the work in a timely and careful manner. He is also very knowledgeable and cheerfully answered all my questions thoroughly and completely. This was a very professional job, and we will not hesitate to use them again. We heartily recommend this company to anyone who needs this type of service.

The work crew arrived promptly at the promised time. The extermination was done quickly and efficiently. The construction work was all completed within a day and a half. All debris was cleaned up to my satisfaction. All the workers were efficient, professional and friendly. This work was done near the end of Nov., 2006. In July of 2007, I called the company to have them look at a possible termite problem in a different part of the house. Within one working day, they sent out a man to check it out. Termite infestation was found in a section of face board along the roof eave. Instead of just locally treating the problem, the face board was replaced and painted. A rain gutter had to be removed and replaced to do the job. This second job was done at NO COST!

We thought that maybe something would be broken on the roof due to the tinting but they didn't damage anything. They were very careful and courteous.

They are fantastic and very good with following through. They listen to what the customer wants.

I'm not sure if this is true for all termite control companies, but all the ones I interviewed do not actually do their own fumigations. They subcontract to a fumigator, in this case A-1 Fumigation of Bellflower. So the person from Yamaguchi who did a very thorough and professional initial site visit and the representative from the fumigator who met with me to discuss concerns I had about plants close to the house were no where to be found when the big truck pulled up to install the tent. Tenting is by nature a somewhat brutal enterprise but by staying absolutely in the face of everyone working around the plants I cared most for, I managed to protect them. The tenting jostled and therefore shut down my satellite dish (no surprise) but Yamaguchi deducted the repair charge graciously and without argument. Termite tenting is not a fun process but it went as well as can be expected and I ended up grateful and impressed both with Yamaguchi and A-1 Fumigation.

Their technician was on-time, friendly, courteous and professional. Answered all my questions. This same technician also treated our place for subterranean termites (in 2003). Again, he was courteous and professional, and repaired all the holes he'd drilled outside and inside. Finished on schedule. About a year later (2004), I found a few mud cones behind a back porch door we seldom use. I called Yamaguchi to ask about it, and the owner came out himself to inspect the cones. He said they were old, not new, but did a spot treatment just in case. He did this without charge. I definitely recommend them.

Worker and assistant were very professional and courteous. They explained each step and answered all questions fully. Completed treatment on schedule and cleaned up after themselves.

I HAVE USED THEM BEFORE, AND I GENERALLY RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHER PEOPLE WHO INQUIRE. I AM SATISFIED BECAUSE WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL PROPERTIES INSPECTED BY THEM. THEIR SERVICE IS WHAT WE WERE EXPECTING.

IT WAS GOOD. WE LIKED IT. IT WAS GOOD QUALITY OF WORK. THEY WERE PROMPT. THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND EASY TO TALK TO. THEY FIXED MY PROBLEM.
