Description of Work: Dan helped me fix my computer remotely and was courteous and helpful and knowledgeable.

Malware scan. |Dan not only performed the service to our satisfaction but answered al our questions during the process. He stayed on the project until finished, followed up with e-mails and phone calls with a very conscientious and helpful disposition. We'll certainly continue to use his services.

Description of Work: I had used Dan Zivetz a couple of times previously and was so satisfied with his work that I recently asked him back when both my husband's and my computers were not working. He analyzed the problems quickly, made my computer work again, and told me what was needed for my husband's. He was to call back in a few days when he had the things necessary to complete his work and ended up calling me back that same afternoon. I highly recommend Mr. Zivetz at West L.A. Computer Fix.

Description of Work: Provider came to my house, which is far from his usual area. He performed some security checks on my computer and resolved some concerns that it might have been compromised by a dubious service provider. The work was a great bargain at the special rate of 69 dollars for two hours.

Description of Work: Cleared info from our hard drive, "punched up" the efficiency level of the computer. It's been quite a while - so can't really be more specific about the rest of the service - but the area of concern which accounts for the less than stellar ratings was Daniel's inability to explain what he was doing - and to convey the process in a way that I could understand and really learn/ gain something from the service event.

Description of Work: I had issues with my kids laptops. He managed to fix my daughter's wi-fi issues with a $10.00 part. He was late but stayed an extra half hour w/o charge. My son's, we kept getting malware despite running scans. He ran some apps and laptop is working fine now. Would use him again.

Description of Work: I purchased the big deal for Computer Evaluation and/or Initial Troubleshoot. Everything turned out fine.

Description of Work: Dan repaired my laptop, deleting many unnecessary files and programs, including the one that had corrupted the computer. It was a time consuming process and he took it home so he could work on it overnight. He fixed it slow processing speed by installing a much better memory and he trasnferred a significant amount of photo's & videos to a backup memory he purchased, doing much of this at his home over night. He then converted and formatted the old memory to a backup memory.. He then fixed my desk top computer and got my printer to wirelessly print from my laptop and desktop. Dan was gracious all the time, offered many ideas and suggestions, while explaining what he was doing or had done. He was at my house four different times taking items to his shop to work on them. My wife was very inpressed and Dan is our only computer repairman now.

Description of Work: I needed someone to help recover data off my daughter's broken laptop. After reading other Angie's list reviews i called Dan and left a message. Within 20 minutes he called back and we dIscussed the problem. I told him my daughter would contact him to arrange a time to drop off the computer. It took her a couple of days and Dan called to check to see if we still needed his services which we did. Not only did Dan recover the data from the hard drive but he got the computer up and running again. All for $65 which is about half what the geek squad wanted to charge her. I was very happy with the communication and price of dan's service.

Description of Work: He looked at the computer. We thought our signal was being stolen and it looked like the computer might have been hacked. We had some other minor issues and he came out to look at them free of charge afterwords. The cost is for the original service and he spent 2-3 hours with us.

Description of Work: Most recently, he set up a new computer system, including wireless connection in my home. He was able to complete the work in a little over 2 hours and charged me $100.00
