I called Dan at noon on Sunday. He made an appointment to come to my house at 2:30 pm, arrived promptly, went right to work, operating with confidence, carefully and methodically, and got the job done. He even advised me and my wife about the pros/cons of using various internet service companies. I couldn't be happier.

Dan arrived right on time. He was very personable and was easy to talk to. He is knowledgable and professional, He also understood that I am definitely not a computer wizard, and was very patient with all my questions. He explained things to me so that I was able to understand what he was doing.I would definitely call him in the future and would recommend his work to friends.

By far the best and calmest tutor. My computer is working fine, now I'm learning how to use it A definite recommend.

I am extremly happy. The service was prompt. I am scheduled for a software class this Tuesday and have to have new software installed. Since my cd drive was not working, I could not install the software. Dan had it working in less than one hour.

Dan Zivetz responded to my e-mail request for service with an e-mail and a phone call the next day. I asked him for help with my Dell PC tower. Windows 7 was very buggy and uncooperative despite my attempts at finding the problem(s). There was an Angie's List coupon for one hour free on his listing, which I printed out. Dan accepted it and, as he had spent about an hour, there was no charge for his service because of the coupon. Thanks Angie's List! While he was here Dan took apart my computer, reinstalled the video card and drivers. He said this was the most likely cause for the problems I was describing, but we looked at other smaller issues and corrected one involving power usage and hibernation times. The APC power backup and computer were out of sync and this could be causing some of the issues as well. I would never have found the little box he noted was out of sync with the computer's other power settings! Restarting the computer, we waited for the usual problems and none recurred. Today I have been able to start and use the computer with no sign of the problems. I would have no hesitation about calling Dan again if something reoccurs or something new comes along.

I took my computer to Dan to identify the problem and to repair my computer. He was very nice, professional, knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to repair my computer within an hour. He also offered some very helpful suggestions so I can avoid some future issues with my computer. In short I would use West LA Computer Fix again for my PC computer needs.

Dan's service was excellent. He went to great pains to make sure that I could retrieve the information from my old computer and that it displayed correctly on my new one. He spent a lot of time making sure that everything worked. He is very knowledgeable about the various computer programs. I was extremely happy with his services and will use him again.

He arrrived at the agreed time, began work promptly and completed the required tasks. Though I have little tech knowledge, he took the time to explain which features he was changing or updating.

I had a coupon and the name of the guy from the company is Dan Zivetz. The problem was I have a very old computer that just kept on slowing down and slowing down. My husband kept taking it in to different places. Wherever they went they didn’t experience the same thing and I kept telling them to come here. I saw this coupon for 2 hours of onsite support. I called them. Because I was in Glendale I asked if this part would be within their service area and he said sure. So he came out and figured out that it was my browser and my memory. He loaded on a new browser for me and loaded on a utility so that he can dial in to my computer if I need him to and then he explained what kind of memory upgrade to make and we did that. Everything was great. It took him much less than the 2 hrs. I was extraordinarily pleased. I was happy with the service. He was easy to reach and he was very amenable to coming out on an hour’s schedule. I really was very grateful that he didn’t charge against the 2hrs for the time it took for him to get out here as in other places they do that, they charge for the travel price. It’s not that it’s fixed but it definitely works faster and connects fast to the internet. His recommendations have been worthwhile.

Overall I am very happy. Dan was punctual and professional.

The service went extremely well. Dan also informed me about critical anti-virus software I needed to use, as well as more choices in search engines, anti-spyware/malware, etc. Dan is a life-saver!

The power supply on my HP computer wore out. Dan answered the phone when I called and we were able to make an appointment that day, at my convenience. He diagnosed and performed the repair perfectly and in a timely manner. The time limit was based on how quickly the parts shipped, on which he got me a great price and fast shipping. I was able to pick up the computer, again at my convenience, and get it back to work in time to have no inconvenience to my clients at all. He has a lot of knowledge and was respectful of my knowledge as well. He did not assume that I knew nothing. He is professional, able, courteous and easy to work with.

Dan did a great job diagnosing my failing hard drive and then restoring my backup to a new drive purchased to replace the old one. I had mistakenly assumed some other issues I'd been having were related to the failing drive, but Dan correctly diagnosed those separate problems and fixed them as well. He knows what he's doing and the price was very reasonable.

Dan is a very knowledgeable guy. He spent the better part of a day getting rid of a very stubborn virus. I know something about computers and had researched this type of trojan on the web and how to get rid of it. I have been successful getting rid of bugs in the past but realized this one was beyond my abilities. It was time to call in an expert. Dan did not disappoint. He used what the web guys prescribed and when those three programs failed he used a bunch of others and some tricks and was finally successful. All during this process Dan described in very clear and calm terms what he was doing. We all breathed a sigh of relief when the trojan was removed, as we were getting close to the point where we would have to reformat the disk and reload all our programs to make the computer usable. I was willing to do this but Dan stuck to the problem like a bull dog and solved it. His price was incredibly reasonable and my wife and I were very pleased. We certainly will use him again.

Dan's the Man. He is polite, punctual, knowledgeable, patient, resourceful and REALLY knows what he is doing. What for him might have been a routine assessment of a frequent customer complaint regarding compromise of one's computer, for me it was like a tragedy. No access to the internet?? How can I live? Dan was actually apologetic when I contacted him (on a Sunday) that he could not come the same day, but only the next day. He is an absolute treasure, and his prices are very, very reasonable. Plus he's really a person and not some automaton, like the Geek Squad folks who couldn't give a d***. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Did a great job at 1/3 the cost of what it would have cost from the several large outfits I priced, and I suspect did a better job than they would have. It's nice when you have to do a follow-up call that you are dealing with the same individual, not a large IT support network that would have to start all over. Does not work on Apple.

Dan is VERY FOCUSED and courteous. In fact, Dan is phenomenal. I love my new desktop computer, and talk about fast.... My laptop is working great as well. We were thrilled with Dan's work ethics, and he got the job done! He loves animals which was an added plus. I know, sounds silly but we have a dog and two cats. Our dog took right to Dan. I can't think of any "don'ts" because we got such great service. He will handle any thing that may go wrong with the new computer, and we liked that of course. If you have questions, he will answer you back in email or call you right away. From start to finish it was a good experience and in todays economy, Dan's prices are very reasonable. Hire Dan, you will not be sorry! He is definitely a hard worker and likes what he does.

yFirst my C/drive crashed at a terrible time. Do they ever crash at a convenient time? It was a Sunday. We called about six people, and Dan was the first person to answer our call, so we took him immediately. He was at the house within a couple of hours and he went to work. He installed a new C/drive, far better than the old one and I was off and running again with the computer. His prices were oh, so reasonable that I really thought he was cheating himself. The next day I discovered that a hard drive where I stored all my photos, thousands of them, had been over-written by my program that stores my data on a nightly basis. I had backed up all of my photos on another drive, so I figured there wouldn't be a problem. Then as I went to open the other drive, it occurred to me that I hadn't seen it for a number of months. It, too, had crashed, and I lost all of my photos. I was heart sick. I called Dan. He came to my house that very day, ran some tests and asked permission to take the hard drive home. He worked on it and called me that very evening to report that he had found a bad something or other in the hard drive and was able to replace it. The old hard drive was as good as new. He totally rebuilt it, and all of my thousands of photos were restored. I literally wept with joy. His charges for this were more than reasonable. Again I felt that he had not charged nearly enough for all the work that he put into rebuilding that hard drive. I referred him to a friend whose husband is quite the whiz with computers, and he agreed that Dan is wonderful. They, too, were more than happy with his services. I could go on and on, but let's just say you can't go wrong with this person.

When we called Dan on a Friday, we were happy to learn that he could come out the very next day. He was professional and went straight into assessing the problem. When it turned out that we needed to replace a battery, Dan called around and located a store in the area where we could purchase the part needed. He was very generous with his time, going to the store to buy what was necessary. We appreciated that Dan explained in layman's terms what was happening, answered all our questions thoroughly and gave additional tips on maintaining our system. Would recommend his services to anyone. Dan has very reasonable prices for the work performed.

After we thought a virus had erased our primary drive (music, microsoft office, everything) we called Dan, who promptly came by, started addressing the problem and when it could not be done quickly at home he took the laptop with him to fix. The computer returned a day later in its original condition. The virus had managed to hide everything in our hard drive and Dan had been able to restore everything. He followed up with a few phone calls to make sure things worked well. There was an additional anti-virus software issue to fix and he again came by the house and dealt with it quickly and efficiently. I will be recommending Dan to my family.

Dan is extremely focused and efficient. He listens and quickly resolves issues. His charges have been very reasonable. I definitely recommend his service. My notebook computer had been experiencing blue screen startups for more than a year. One day I was unable to turn the computer turn either off or on and was concerned that I may have lost all my files. Dan was able to very quickly restart the computer and back up my data. To prevent further disruptions he secured my wireless signal and installed a simple-to-use backup program. He assisted me in calling my computer company and persuaded them to send a new hard drive under my warranty. He installed and formatted it and then cleared the old hard drive to safely return to the company. He made a number of other adjustments to make things run more smoothly. This process required several return visits and phone calls and Dan remained involved and easily available for questions. He charges $50/hr for his services.

I really like Dan; he’s a good guy. He is knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and attentive. I would recommend him to others without hesitation.

He is very reasonable and will spend the time it takes to get things done. He has come back out to repeatedly check his work. I am very happy with his service. I highly recommend him.
